Show and say the next action before the gps signal lost in tunel
I'm living in a country where lot of tunnel on the road. I all the time facing the problem where I have no time to change the lane at the exit of the tunnel, because the signal lost in the tunnel, and when the device lock the signal again there not enough time to take the action.
It would be nice to warn the user "you driving into the tunnel at the tunnel exit keep left" or something similar.

Shortcuts for Hazard Reports
When using the Hazard Report feature in Waze I often find that:
1) I use 1 to 3 reports a LOT more often than any others.
2) I often find that selecting these hazard icons using the current method is fiddly, dangerous when driving, and slow, resulting in the report being sent late, often about 100 meters or more past the hazard.
My improvement idea is to add 1 to 3 hazard SHORTCUTS that "slide out" for selection from the existing hazard report icon (yellow triangle) on the FIRST touch, they would then "slide in" again after selection to avoid…

Share route and location with friends.
Give an option to share not only your route but also your location on that route with your friends. This would be a safety feature. In the event that you don't make it to your destination, your friend could see your location. This idea is inspired by the loss of a fellow student who was in a one vehicle accident on her way home to visit for the weekend. Her car ended up under a bridge and she was not found for three days. Suggestion: put the tolls on the itinerary, than we could guess how much to spend on the trip!
When you go somewhere and it has some tolls you could guess how much spend on the way, and waze could mark where the tolls are and the price.

Note detours / closure when reason for future turn
If an upcoming turn (even if miles away) is due to a road closure/ detour, create an alert. This can allow finding alternative route earlier and avoid significant backups on highways by taking earlier exits

New Functions for Linking External Provider Locations (Google Pin)
In the past, the WME PIE Script provided a valuable feature that allowed us to directly view the exact location of a place on Google Maps overlaid on the Waze map. Recently, this functionality was removed at Waze's request.
Most editors, including myself, consider this feature essential. Taking this opportunity, I suggest we request improvements to this linking tool. Below are some current issues and proposed solutions:

Add a feature for police traveling in unmarked cars in your lane. To warn wazers ahead of you within a certain speed radius. Not sure if that’s doable.

Accident alert to phone messages or email in real time in a chosen area or district
Hi Waze team
I’m from Sydney Australia,
My staff and I all use Waze for our navigation and we love it.I have a suggestion,
Is there a way to get a sound alert when someone reports an accident or heavy traffic in a certain district or area ?
If we are able to nominate an area of our city that we would like notifications on,
It could even send a text message to our phone
This would be a great addition to help avoid accident or traffic before we even jump in the trucks

Will Waze include State and US Highway avoidance some day? When I want to go somewhere on the bike I want to take all back roads.

private roads
Add an option like "Allow only private roads I have driven" or "Allow only private roads in my address book" so that Waze will avoid private rounds for which a user is not authorized.

Risk classification system by areas
Risk classification system by areas:
Some countries like mine (Peru) have several areas which are either dangerous or ugly to go through. Since Waze algorithm is set to always find the best route regarding the traffic and shortest ways to minimze the time, sometimes it includes these kind of undesireble zones and and it can be really annoying or even scary.
Therefore, I suggest to implement a security location system based on the split and categorization of how safe or risky is each area.

Report police driving in the same direction 🚨
Today it's possible to report police driving in the opposite direction, but it would be good to also be able to report if they're driving in the same direction as yourself to be able to warn drivers ahead of you. Or maybe it should be all rescue vehicles, so people can give a clear lane for police, ambulances and fire trucks

Option to stay off interstate but stay on highways
We need a new option to only avoid Interstates. Sometimes I want to travel a decent road but just not on the interstate itself. If I pick the current avoid interstates and freeways option it sends me on every backroad there is. I still want to travel highways and decent roads.

enable Navigation while AVOIDING "RED ROADS"(roads defined as such by authorities/NGO's). Red Road = higher probability for an accident.
Nation wide, the safety level of road infrastructure reflects budget constarints, professional considerations-mistakes etc.
Government as well as NGO's e.g. Or Yarok(Israel) monitor accident rates(as well as severty) per LOCATION.....
Thus it is possible to rate certain roads/junctions as RED - being more dangerous, based on hard statistics.
Most of the drivers are NOT aware of above(i.e. that they can drive to their destination with significantly lower accident risk) and would probably be happy not to RISK their families and hence chose an alternative, safer road.

Setting for guidance to bring you to the front of location not across the street.
When the location you are going to is on a road with two or more lanes that go in opposite directions, any you are coming from the side that is across the street from your destination guidance will bring end on the opposite side.
This is very inconvenient if you are doing delivery or dropping off passengers and can also be dangerous if you do not go around.

Waze traffic alarm
Every time I leave my office or my house, I need to review on waze my alternative routes, the problem is, that most of the times .. im on a hurry and i forget to review the routes, and even though waze has all the information needed to select the best route alternative, I dont have the time to review it and choose the best route with all the available waze information.
