1. Delay navigation notifications

   I think you should be able to set a stage of your journey when you want to start navigation notifications.
   For instance I am travelling to London from the north of the UK, I know how to get from my house to the southbound motorway, I would choose navigation to start 2/3 of the way down the motorway, unless there are any issues during the journey

2. Bathroom Locator Idea

   I love Waze and use it every time I drive. But I had an app idea of my own that I wanted to start up. I want to create an app that shows where bathrooms are because one of the hardest things on a long road trip is finding bathrooms on the way. But I really think this idea could be incorporated into Waze rather than an entirely separate app. My idea is that you would compile data where all the bathrooms are and as people use them, they rate how clean they were. Then once you have ratings in, you can send an update that gives you two options: I need a bathroom ASAP and I don’t care how far off my route it is or how low the rating is and two, I need to use the bathroom but I can wait until I find one on the route and with a higher rating. The ASAP button would be red and the “I can wait” button would be green. When you choose either button, the map automatically recalculates and adds the bathroom detour to your route. Then you rate the bathroom 1-5 stars and get back on the road. I know this idea sounds silly but it’s actually really practical for road trips or long highway driving.

3. Waze tries to send me back to it's initial route rather than calculating options from my current path. i need more characters to explain.

   When Waze gives me an initial route it always tries to send me back to that route. For example i was exiting a fast food parking lot and it would be very difficult to go left. I knew there was a route to the right but it wasn't showing up. I turned right anyway and Waze kept trying to turn me around. I thought I finally drove far enough to get the new route, so i listened when it told me to turn right. Long story short, it drove me through a neighborhood, slowly, making many turns, and ended up back where i started. In another small example, i turned off my main route into a neighborhood two blocks earlier than the planned route to avoid a school bus. Waze wanted to route me back out of the neighborhood for one block only to turn back onto the road i was already on.
   
   Waze needs to take my current direction of travel and recalculate from there. Sometimes we know what we're doing when we dont follow the route planned.

4. Waze should stop after disconnecting from car play

   Waze starts automatically after connecting to carplay, but doesn’t turn off automatically after disconnecting from carplay. It should turn off automatically based on proximity to destination + carplay disconnect + optional couple minutes delay :) I think this will be a better user experience and will improve battery life of the user. I saw a few threads on reddit about this issue but without a solution.

5. Share ETA with other wazers

   Allow wazers to update friends on ETA. When starting a new journey, I shall be able to select wazers that can get real time update on my ETA, so they know when to expect me.

6. Please fix Waze CarPlay lag

   CarPlay lags almost a full minute upon input. Your position in the map is also delayed. So turn by turn directions will be missed. Waze CarPlay is almost unusable.

7. Sonic the Hedgehog (Ryan Drummond or Jason Griffith or Roger Craig Smith)

8. Make Waze a perfect navigation system

   It definitely needs lane guidance (even google maps which technically is not a navigation system has lane guidance)

   When you search for POI it should tell you how far (distance and time) off rout the POI is from your rout. (again google maps does that.)

   Wase has problem with long distance. I travel a lot from Somerset NJ to Toronto Canada, and always have to wait at least half an hour for Wase to start working aside from several times crashing and not being able to do anything with phone because it crashes. This might be due to large amount of downloading and processing.

   Offline maps would be a nice thing.

9. Suicide hotline direct link

   A direct link to suicide hotline or form of a helpline for people in a mental crisis. As a retired firefighter and now a part time incident manager I see and have seen many incidents that quick access to something like this may help prevent a life changing event.

10. Alternative sound alert for major turnings/junctions

    It would be good to have an alert option for just major junctions or turning on your route that are coming up.

    For example, when going down a motorway or other route that you have driven previously in the past/know, you don't need constant turn by turn directions, just alerts for "getting off the motorway at junction 11" or "turn right" at a big roundabout etc.

11. Commuter vs Traveler option

    I love Waze but I wish toggle between travel mode and commuter mode.

    I will put Waze on and just start driving and if I don't look at it I will not know that the road has two hours of traffic on it and if it tells me to go a different way I'm really not paying attention to it like that. I'm not using it as guidance as much as I am to alert me that my normal route there is traffic etc. when I plug in my home it will send me some crazy ways (no pun intended) that I am not necessarily going to go.

    Sometimes it directs me to go to certain way that is only a few minutes shy of the actual route because of traffic and that's not really helpful.

    I love the app I just wish there was different ways of using it… I guess one addition you can do is in the routes choice there could always be one that is the normal route. This is the route that you will always go if given the opportunity. But if there's traffic I would like to be able to compare that to the other routes and say oh I'll make a choice to go this one or that one.

    Anyway I hope this is helpful I only want to make a good app even better.

12. Problem with Waze directions.

    People are trespassing on my property saying Waze is directing them there, They are trying to get to trails in Horsepen Run in Sterling VA.20165 The only access is to turn North at the Algonkian Parkway and Westmoreland Drive intersection. There is no public access permitted on Askegren's Lane. It is my private driveway. Thanks

13. Option for more than 1 stop along my route

    I find the option to add stops on my route convenient for when I'm going on a long drive where I need to stop at a few places along the way, but it only allows me to add one extra stop. Why can I only add one? I'd appreciate being able to add at least 3 or 4 stops in one trip so I don't need to start a new route after each destination along the way (I've had to do that before and it's way too complicated). Can you please add an option to be able to add more than one stop for our routes? Thanks

14. Two-way stops are very dangerous

    I hate two-way stops -- they're dangerous in both directions!
    1. I'd like to route to avoid two-way stops (where reasonable ... no zigzagging, but choosing a more circuitous route should be an option to improve safety)
    2. I'd like to avoid arriving at the "stop" direction of a two-way stop in almost all cases
    3. this is like the infamous ("unsafe left") and I'd like to have a "right turn only" mode where arriving at a two-way against the stop to turn right is okay, but to go straight or turn left is a no-no.

15. Add ability to plan a route or loop and choose roads for planned rides that you can save and share.

    Sometimes people like to take a road trip for fun. Such as a group of motorcycles.

    It would be nice to be able to pre-plan a ride that includes several different/chosen roads, that will eventually bring you back home or to the starting point. Like a loop.

    If you could drag and move the route on the map, while planning it, it would be easier to add points of interest along the way. Plus more than one stop per route would be great!

    Routing from point A to B is very good, but the ability to customize and save your route for future or even shared use, would be great! There are other apps available for this, but none that are as trustworthy and functional as waze!

16. Direct email for waze

    How about a direct way to contact waze. You have all these suggestions but Waze never follows up on them. For instance Google maps gave me something that Waze didn't and kept me probably from an accident. But there's no way to directly report the road closure to Waze because the app sucks on that

17. Listening to Downcast and using Waze

    Has anyone else experienced this? When using Waze and also listening to a podcast using the Downcast app, after arriving at the destination and then starting my next journey, I am no longer able to listen to the podcast. I have arrived at my destination and I stopped navigation. When I get back into the car and i resume listening to the podcast, i enter my next destination on Waze. Suddenly I am no longer able to listen to the podcast simultaneously.

    Has anyone else experienced this issue?

18. Add Multitouch Support for Waze on CarPlay (iOS 26)

    Starting with iOS 26, Apple officially added multitouch support for CarPlay apps (confirmed on Apple’s developer website).
    However, Waze still doesn’t support multitouch gestures such as pinch-to-zoom — which makes map navigation less intuitive and even unsafe while driving.

    Currently, zooming in or out requires multiple taps, forcing drivers to take their eyes off the road.
    This is not only inconvenient but also reduces overall safety.

    It’s especially surprising because:

    On Android Auto, Google Maps already supports multitouch, and it works great — smooth, natural, and safe.

    Even in the Waze mobile app (without CarPlay), when the phone is mounted on the dashboard, you can easily zoom in and out with gestures. There are no + / – buttons, yet it feels perfectly intuitive.

    So why does CarPlay Waze still miss this feature?

    Why it matters:

    Improves driver safety by minimizing distraction.

    Makes Waze consistent with Google Maps and the Waze mobile app.

    Takes advantage of Apple’s new CarPlay multitouch capabilities introduced with iOS 26.

    Suggestion:

    Please add multitouch gestures (pinch-to-zoom, pan, rotate) for Waze on CarPlay.
    It’s already supported by iOS 26 and would make a huge improvement in safety, usability, and consistency across platforms.

    How many cars actually support multitouch?

    Far more than most people realize — multitouch isn’t some brand-new feature.
    It’s been standard in many cars for years, across almost all major manufacturers:

    Volkswagen Group (VW, Audi, Škoda, SEAT): since around 2014–2015

    BMW: since 2015 (iDrive 5.0 and newer)

    Mercedes-Benz: since 2016–2017 (NTG 5.5 and later)

    Ford: since 2016 (Sync 3)

    Toyota / Lexus: since 2018 (Entune 3.0 / Lexus Display Audio)

    Hyundai / Kia / Genesis: since 2016–2017

19. Update SF Directions ASAP

    Please update some of your SF directions ASAP. As a passenger in Lyft or Uber, I can tell you that Polk Street has not been updated with all of the new turning restrictions that were put in over 6 months ago. Also, one of the main thoroughfares, Market Street, will no longer be available to cars as of next Wednesday, 1/29.

20. Bad directions in Iowa

    Used Waze to travel to the Paramount Theater in Cedar Rapids Iowa. The directions were NOT SUFFICIENT. We drove around looking for the venue for about 15 minutes before we gave up on Waze and just parked the vehicle and walked. I know this is not the correct place to report this problem, but the reporting methods suggested in "Fix a Map Issue" were not working. I guess I'm just too retarded to use Waze.
