CarPlay Waze mode
Waze in my CarPlay switches from day to night mode according the car lights (for example in tunnels or under the bridge) despite fact that application is set for switching during night only.

Features to add
Automatically change of routes on missing out the junction.
Show traffic affected route in different colour.
Update the road with any obstructions like road closure, traffic, hazardous situation, real time traffic situation.
Currently it is just showing route from point A to point B. Its of no use.

Reporting counterflow option
Currently there is a report for road works, and there are options for closure of right, left or center lane . But there are no options for a counterflow situation on the motorway, eg where northbound traffic is led onto the southbound road half and users face oncoming traffic

Tassos from Greece: By my opinion Waze has one great positive and one negative ..
positive :
that its great in changing really fast routing in real time especially in city center of Athens according traffic jam ..negative : that outside center , its prehestoric .. a lot of roads are missing, every user (that knows it ) does editing all the time ,
where you could adapt a FULL map of Google (as i thing Google bought waze , isnt it ? ) or openstreetmap ..
and we, the users that only edit if there is wrong in direction for example , ONLYYYY ..
editing , and filling new roads for me looks…

use Android API for event buttons and text input
to report traffic/event irrelevancy it is darn hard to hit that tiny round button with a caret (>) at the end of the event item. instead I should be able to use a long press on a much broader list item to pop up the menu. also, the menu that pops up ought to be from the API. it would create bigger buttons (better for touch sensitive devices) and makes for a much more consistent device use experience plus it would make it more accessible while driving. More accessible means less accidents.

Second... if you have a crown can’t waze give me “the kings high way” a better way to drive that gives me better time and less traffic because I have a crown!!! I worked hard for it!

Motorcyclist Approaching / Fast Vehicle Approaching Report
Some motorists like to weave in and out through traffic. Often times, these drivers/riders are only noticed once they fly by, which can be dangerous or fatal for anyone involved. We can increase driver awareness by adding a “Motorcycle Approaching” or “Fast Vehicle Approaching” feature in the Navigation mode. This will warn other Wazers that a fast motorcycle or fast vehicle may be approaching and to be extra cautious when merging. With a larger audience aware of fast-approaching vehicles, we can attempt to save more lives.

Improve route design to deliver clear direction
So when we start the way, the route displays so complicated with too much colors that confusing me where to focus on. It seems like everything is highlighted. Even with the traffic sign, I didn't realize that it was showing traffic through little red lines outside of the route. I just hope the design of the map to be simple, direct, and clear. Just highlight the path or route that I am going with just one simple line using different solid color that shows if it's on traffic or not. Just like google map!

Mark red light cameras
There are new red light cameras in effect in Honolulu. Many are active and more to come this month. I wish this would be shown or easily marked because they are stationary cameras

Fix the typo
Typo on the reports website page...Get alerted before you approach police, accidents, road hazards or traffic jams, all shared by other drivers in real-time. The report option enables the you to pass along....

Tow Bugs
HI!
I found two bugs for you:
1.the first bug: I entered the "Send a report" screen and taped on Traffic Jam.
I am able to send a comment or a picture with out choosing the traffic rate (Moderate ,Heavy ,Standstill). this case is also relate to Police, Crash, Hazard ,Map issue and Camera.
2. when i taped Gas prices and the system cant find nearby stations, i cant close the message by tapping on X because it doesn't work.by the way i leave in TLV and i am QA student i would really like to work in Waze.

New use for CCP GPS beacons
Extend the CCP beacons program to include indoor areas with high foot traffic. GPS would be especially useful in subway stations, even though NYC Subway stations have cell service. Neither the cell service nor the WiFi in stations provide GPS functionality.

Bike path crossing alerts
In bicycle-centric cities like Madison, WI, the roadways are full of bike path crossings. Some have flashing yellow lights, while others are simply painted green. Alerting drivers of bike path crossings would make cities like Madison much safer.
For reference, I was rear-ended at one with full flashing lights last year. It could have been fatal had the cyclist not been crossing the other side of the boulevard at the moment of impact.
Please consider giving Waze users the option to be alerted at bike path crossings!

Don´t take for the average the motorcycle speed
In all the countries, are motorcycles drivers using waze, when there´s a lot of traffic, they go faster than the cars, I was thinking that the speed of the motorcycles don´t matter, for this important reason it doesn´t have to upload the speed to the waze servers.
When we open the app, it could be a question: are you usen a motorcycle? or a car?, or it could be a setting too.
The information that is upload for the motorcycle drivers are impacting to the ETA of the rest of the drivers!!!!!!!!!

Carbon CO2 footprint
in order to reduce the carbon CO2 footprint it would be nice if you could calculate estimated time not only based on the speed limits and current traffic-load. I.e. set the max speed to 90 km/h will reduce the carbon footprint with almost 30 % on longer trips, you could have this as an individual choice. As example I hade average 4,5 liter per 100 Km on a 330 km drive instead of 6,8 when drive within speed limit 110/120 km/h it take 30 minutes longer but it´s much calmer and less stress.

Stop putting me on the belt when it’s rush hour and it’s dead stop traffic, I downloaded this app to avoid traffic, not be dumped into it

Waze para Motocicletas (Waze for Motorcicles)
Em São Paulo, no Brasil, há um grande número de motociclistas que utilizam o Waze diariamente, como eu. Porém, o navegador recalcula as rotas conforme o trânsito de carros, o que não é interessante para nós, devido aos corredores de motos (faixas entre os carros). Por isso, gostaria de sugerir que fosse criado um modo especial para motos, que pode ser dentro do próprio programa, que não recalcule as rotas da mesma maneira que faz para os carros. No caso, recalcularia somente em casos de bloqueios ou acidentes. Desde já, agradeço e parabenizo pelo aplicativo, que nos ajuda muito!

17 votesThank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already has Motorcycle Mode included in the app. To change your vehicle type, tap Settings > Car Details > Vehicle type.

icons on map view
When I am looking at my three route options, the List view shows my small icons representing events on my suggested paths. But, when I switch to Map view - when I want to SEE what's going on where - those same icons are nowhere to be found.
Having the event icons on the map view (when choosing a route) would help me make a more informed decision on which route to choose because I can see for certain how traffic, accidents, etc. will impact each route and which makes more sense (based upon prior experience on those roads).

Change your mapping for Astros day games.
You need to change the route from Minute Maid to Chartres onto the freeway. A change of having cars move west from Minute Maid to alternative routes to freeways will free up traffic especially for day games such as today. The games get over during rush hour traffic and causes huge traffic jams.

Make option to avoid international borders
Drove from Boston to Michigan and the app continuously tried rerouting us through Canada to save time! Please add an option to avoid international borders so we don't have to worry about being sent through another country if traffic builds ahead.
