Flooding (Inondation): route modification
More & more extreme climate phenomena occures. In this context, the current proposed routes are sometimes crossing flooded areas, which is sometimes impossible to go through. I would like to propose an evolution of the flooding alert to have two levels:
- a first one indicating that we could face issues, but the routes is still valid (~ current alert)
- a second one, indicating the road cannot be used & so generating a new route computation by Waze, to avoid it. (New)2 votes -
Alerte Radar android auto en mode horizontal

Quand est prévue la maj sur Waze pour la prise en compte des zones de dangers (radar) en versions en horizontal sur les smartphones et véhicules. J'explique. Lorsque mon smartphone est vertical, j'ai bien la barre verte mais quand il est en horizontal, ce n'est pas le cas. Beaucoup d'utilisateurs de sont plaints de ça , quand est-ce que les développeurs vont prendre en compte ces revendications ?

Posting alerts without be in the alerts location.
Would be great if i can post a notification about any issue putting the correcct location, even if i am not in that position at the moment that i make a notification.

Retour d'experience en vu d'amelioration de l'appli WAZE apres 3 mois d'utilisation sur les routes avec un SAMSUNG GalaxyS2

- afficher la limite de vitesse surveillee par le radar de vitesse
- annoncer si depassement de vitesse et vitesse limite.
- manque avertissement a l'approche des radars de feux rouges.
- icone radar peu visible sur le plan il faudrait les metrent en surbrillance à l'approche (l'appli Glob fait tres bien tout cela sauf qu'il n'y a pas de navigateur !) (La communauté Glob est plus belge que Francaise)

- afficher les limitation de vitesse sur la portion de route en cours de parcours.
La communauté des wazer roulant en moyenne aux alentour de la limitation de vitesse…

Microwave ding in traffic jam, disable toggle.
How do i disable microwave "ding" when stuck in traffic jam?

Based on daily accident reports, mark areas with a high frequency of accidents as high-risk. Provide a voice warning: "You are approaching a dangerous area with a high concentration of traffic accidents - drive with increased caution!"In urban conditions, it can also be applied to dangerous intersections: "Dangerous intersection ahead."
For turns where accidents are often marked: "Caution, dangerous turn ahead!"
These voice warnings could greatly contribute to the safety of road users. It is important that they have a voice alert before entering the specific section.

x Prediction Feature
A prediction feature. Example: Around 9:00 every Friday in the past 2 months traffic has been stopped on a stretch of road. Waze could put out an alert that says "Based on the past month's traffic use this route could be slow" even if no one has reported. Especially helpfully for being aware of authorities who tend to monitor traffic in the same locations.

Thumbs down on Reponses to others
There is only a Thumbs up and a comment button, there should also be a Thumbs down so if the alert is no longer there people can put Thumbs down to let people know the alert is no longer visible or necessary yo worry about.

Improved lane guidance for consecutive intersections
An example is three consecutive intersections coming with very short distance (e.g. https://www.waze.com/en/live-map/directions?latlng=56.923461945338325%2C24.165415763854984 going from Krasta Iela to P (Akropole) it's important to stay in the correct lane in all three intersections. Otherwise, you will either end up doing a U-turn, continue towards Salaspils or end up on Slavu Iela towards Dreilini.

Play ground sign detection
Some cities have switched school zones to playground zones with the same reduced speed limit. A nice feature would give an alert when the play ground sign is detected.

Reference to a nearby street where the chances of finding free parking are greater
I set a destination on Waze and when I arrived I discovered that it was a main street with no on-street parking while at a distance of 200-300 meters there were plenty of free or token paid parking on the street.
In such a situation I would be happy to receive an offer from Waze when it detects that the destination is on a busy main road and offer a nearby streets with higher chances of finding parking.3 votes -
Use Google Home to provide departure alerts for scheduled events
I would like to be able to use Google Home to set a scheduled departure time and location, and have it notify me with a audio notification (via Google Home) when it's time to leave. This would allow me to freely move about my home without having to check my phone.

Feature Suggestion: Estimated Time for Each Step in Navigation
Currently, Waze shows the distance for each turn or road segment in the “Next Turns” list. It would be very helpful if, along with the distance, the estimated time to cover each segment was also displayed. For example:
600 m, Modarres Expy → 2 minutes
2.1 km, Resalat Tunnel → 3 minutes
This way, drivers can better understand how much time they will spend in each part of the trip and anticipate which segments might have more traffic or delays. It gives a clearer picture of the journey beyond just distances.

if the congestion/queue is far from intersection and will only have an effect later (e.g. 10km or more) but it already known and waze strongly suggest a detour, should be indicated somehow (e.g. a traffic jam icon with distance in km, blinking roadline, etc),
that there is a big traffic jam in that direction in 10km,

Commercial Trucking
It’s 2024 and many truck drivers are you biggest users. There are other apps but none have the community base, live updates, live events, updated closures. It’s time that truckers get the best of the best of driving apps. Garmin navigation is the biggest but are rarely updated and do not have LIVE updates. It’s time that you add trucking to your menu and all the restrictions because Waze has better updates than all apps. Maybe acquire another app and make it happen. It’s 2024 and us truckers are your biggest users and we are tired of depending on two…

waze travel
I guess all road travelers would like the following idea.
It won't be a bad idea if Waze adds an option or button called Waze Travel where the app suggests hotels Airbnb or camping areas for users when they have to travel for more than 8 hours so the distance can be cut in half.
for example if I am traveling from a country to another and I have more than 8h hours on the road it takes me time to divide the distance locate the road I am tacking and then find hotels around the area.

Have waze not kill my Sony Music app when they are both on at the same time.
When the waze sends an audio alert over my bluetoothed car audio system, it will stop the Sony Music app that is playing. Then when the alert is done, I will have to go in and tell the app to play again. This is frustrating.
