Potholes are removed by bad actors
I drive rideshare and diligently mark devastating potholes just for them to be removed moments later. There may be bad actors in high clearance vehicles with big tires removing these, or just people that don't see them from a different lane. It's likely many just want the notification off screen and mindlessly downvote. It needs to be more difficult to get rid of pothole reports, or allow us a setting to make recent reports more persistent regardless of downvotes.

"Narrowed lanes" Danger
Hi,
I do more than 110km a day,
Very often, you'll encounter some situation where one lane is temporarily removed. Typically in Waze, Users would declare "Roadworks", but I think it's too general to really anticipate this specific situation.
I think it would be very interesting, both in terms of safety and information, to have the possibility to declare a "Narrowed lanes" danger, particulary because sometimes it is really abruptly becoming narrowed and the sole declaration "Roadworks" is not sufficient enough as it is very often used for works being done on the side of the road. Use the Bluetooth mesh for alerts when there is no internet connection (like Bitchat)
Using Bluetooth mesh technology to create a network where each device sends an alert to the next device, until one of the devices is connected to the internet and that alert is sent to the network. Just like it's done with the Bitchat app.
Many times we drive a very long stretch without internet access, and important events happen on the road that we need other drivers to see. enlarge buttons & keyboard, to make it user friendly for us left handed people & us girls with long nails.
when you are left handed using your right hand on the touchscreen in the car, you are not as accurate & you slip. same happens with long nails. it's frustrating & doesn't support driving safely.

Add sunset/darkenss time
A small indication on the map saying for example "39 min to darkness" or similar would be great for many folks who hate to drive in the dark or have various issues with the eyes, or the headlights and need to know how long they can drive before they need to stop.
Also helpful in areas with wildlife / reindeers where driving in the dark poses significant danger to people who are not familiar with the area and not prepared to drive in the dark there.2 votes -
Red tint on the side that traffic is slow
The red/yellow line is thin and gets obscured by the purple nav line.
In addition to the current line, I suggest a wider transparent line in red/yellow tint. The wider line should be drawn alongside the road, rather than exactly on it. The line should be on the side that the traffic is on.
In addition to the obscuring problem, the little moving flow arrows are hard to see when driving, while a broad tint clearly to the side of the road might be clearer.

Displaying streets names
Please let us choose weather to display the streets names or not. When driving abroad I just want to get quickly to the destination. I don't care what are the streets names along the route.

The Report button was designed to be noticed while blending in and it’s important to keep it as is.
However, we will revisit this idea when working on Dark mode, in the future. Furthermore, since this is a physical issue that OLED phones suffer from in different apps, we recommend to use Battery Saver mode to allow your display some rest from bright colors that might lead to this dysfunction.

Fix the share my drive feature to remember your most recent share contacts. Also highlight the actual route not the straight line from a->b
Restore the share my drive feature that remembers ego you recently shared your drive with. It used to do this but no longer does.
Also, when sharing a drive it should show the actual route the person is taking (like it does for the driver) and not just a straight line from point a to point b. That isn’t helpful at all when trying to meet up with someone or give them a heads up on a path to avoid. Or being able to search their route if someone were to get lost or not make it to their destination.

A confidence meter
Essentially a meter that displays a grade of confidence in current reports based on the amount of wazers passing through an area. A highway in the middle of LA would require a higher amount of wazers as the chances of a new speed trap being set up or a blown tire happening is more likely.
Let say the H1 here in hawaii gets 100 wazers driving through every hour in busy times. During busy hours it would require 5 wazers every 10 minutes to get a grade of A in cofidence. If it dips down to 5 wazers in 15…

Instant directions
An option to just go for the first results on search without any confirmation. As instantaneous as its machinely possible.
I just love the experience of telling "ok google, take me to XYZ place" and get directoins within 3 seconds. This is what it should feel like driving in 2017.

Can you please limit the notifications of how many people I have helped to when I am actually driving. The message keeps waking me up when Im sleeping. I work different hours during the week.

Voice Hazard Reporting
This would be extremely helpful to be able to say what a hazard is instead of having to touch the screen while driving which causes you to look away from driving.

Remove "Missing Overpass" map error report category.
That vast majority (all but maybe 1 or 2, in all the time I have been editing) of reports for "Missing Overpass" have been for overpasses that exist on the map, but are invisible at highway speeds on the app. Because some users do not understand how speed-based zoom works, that assume these overpasses are missing, and report every one they drive under until someone responds to a UR explaining why they don't see them. This is causing a large amount of unnecessary UR's and subsequent follow-up. In the US anyway, it would seem we could do completely without this…

I have been using your product far before "the Google times." When I first downloaded Waze, the road to my home was not "Wazed-paved" yet, so I had to pave it myself :). Drive around for "" minutes when arriving at a destination where parking is scarce
It would be great to have a option when arriving at a destination "go around for 10 minutes". This will enable the driver to quickly drop the passenger and drive around the place guided by waze and bring back to the destination in about 10 minutes. Saves the driver finding a parking place and also saves the driver parking charge especially in city centres which is dearer.

Stop stealing voice command/recognition
I have no problem using the Galaxy S6 voice command to send texts while driving.
However, once I invoke the voice command in Waze (by 3-finger salute) I can no longer use the regular Android voice command.
It seems Waze steals and won't release the voice function until I shutdown Waze.

Very need possibility to set/change 3D perspective angle.
Very need possibility to set/change 3D perspective angle. This need for safer driving, because current angle does not allow the driver to correctly estimate the turning angle. Settings the 3D angle view will make the visual perception of the turn more natural for safe speed selection when entering a turn.
