When traveling have majority of visible map in front of driving route vs behind the car while driving
Example: my iPhone screen shows 70% of where you have been, rather than where you are going.

Red tint on the side that traffic is slow
The red/yellow line is thin and gets obscured by the purple nav line.
In addition to the current line, I suggest a wider transparent line in red/yellow tint. The wider line should be drawn alongside the road, rather than exactly on it. The line should be on the side that the traffic is on.
In addition to the obscuring problem, the little moving flow arrows are hard to see when driving, while a broad tint clearly to the side of the road might be clearer.

Notice on passport needed
Please give a notice when routed through another country where a passport is needed. We were routed through Canada and didn’t realize it because it wasn’t called out. We did not have our passports with us, so had to change our route at the last minute which added miles to our drive.

I think the application is becoming cumbersome with too many pop ups and information. It’s very destructing while driving. Less is more!!

Please add Siri Shortcuts support for hazard and police reporting in Waze on iOS. This would allow users—especially those using CarPlay or driving hands-free—to report visual sightings safely and legally.
Apple Maps already supports this (“Hey Siri, report a speed check”), but Waze does not. Since Waze has the most active crowdsourcing community, this feature would significantly improve:
• Driver safety (hands-free hazard reporting)
• Community contribution (more real-time data from CarPlay users)
• Accessibility (voice input for users who can’t interact with the screen)Suggested implementation:
• Expose actions like “Report police (visible/hidden), crash, hazard” to Siri Shortcuts

When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”
When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”, because many drivers prefer a longer but a more pleasant drive to a shorter but full of stops and traffic jams one. Driving faster is part of the pleasure of driving.
Especially in very busy areas, this option would be more than welcomed.
Driving is a pleasure per se, but not if you just stay in line, stuck in traffic jams.4 votes -
Potholes are removed by bad actors
I drive rideshare and diligently mark devastating potholes just for them to be removed moments later. There may be bad actors in high clearance vehicles with big tires removing these, or just people that don't see them from a different lane. It's likely many just want the notification off screen and mindlessly downvote. It needs to be more difficult to get rid of pothole reports, or allow us a setting to make recent reports more persistent regardless of downvotes.

Remove "Missing Overpass" map error report category.
That vast majority (all but maybe 1 or 2, in all the time I have been editing) of reports for "Missing Overpass" have been for overpasses that exist on the map, but are invisible at highway speeds on the app. Because some users do not understand how speed-based zoom works, that assume these overpasses are missing, and report every one they drive under until someone responds to a UR explaining why they don't see them. This is causing a large amount of unnecessary UR's and subsequent follow-up. In the US anyway, it would seem we could do completely without this…

Stop sending survey requests via the App.
When driving 90 miles an hour is not the good moment to fill out a survey on your phone.. is it?!

Stop stealing voice command/recognition
I have no problem using the Galaxy S6 voice command to send texts while driving.
However, once I invoke the voice command in Waze (by 3-finger salute) I can no longer use the regular Android voice command.
It seems Waze steals and won't release the voice function until I shutdown Waze.

Holiday lights
People can nominate and submit pictures of their house decorated with holiday lights (can be Halloween, Christmas, Hanukkah, etc). Then when someone uses Waze to drive they can chose to drive a way that takes them through the house holiday lights or take a route just to look at Christmas lights. I think people would love this!

Connect drivers waze to a passengers waze
Let the passenger to edit the Waze route so that the driver can get it directly from the passengers phone. This will allow the driver to keep driving and having to worry about typing in new stops
on the phone while driving. If you need to find a gas station or somewhere to eat.This will make it a lot easier during longer driving sessions.

Jewish Mother Voice
Waze needs a concerned, Jewish mother's voice to add to its collection of voices. Apart from existing voices, this voice will at random add comments like, "When are you going to drive to my house?", "Did you put on your seatbelt?", "When am I going to get to have grandchildren?" "Would it hurt you to slow down a little??" etc. This voice, would be known as "the voice" given it's superiority over other voices, giving Waze a personality millions of users could not resist as their daily companion.

Fix the share my drive feature to remember your most recent share contacts. Also highlight the actual route not the straight line from a->b
Restore the share my drive feature that remembers ego you recently shared your drive with. It used to do this but no longer does.
Also, when sharing a drive it should show the actual route the person is taking (like it does for the driver) and not just a straight line from point a to point b. That isn’t helpful at all when trying to meet up with someone or give them a heads up on a path to avoid. Or being able to search their route if someone were to get lost or not make it to their destination.
