  1. Action icons on left in CarPlay (US) so driver doesn’t need to reach across

    Put the action icons on the left (in countries where cars are on right of road) when displaying in CarPlay so the driver does not need to reach across to use them. Notifications should appear on right instead of left.

  2. Please add an Electric Motorcycle vehicle type!

    You have an option for Electric Vehicles, and for Motorcycles. But what about Electric Motorcycles?! I have a 2021 Zero SR/S - but there are many other models and brands of electric motorcycles now - LiveWire, Energica, Sondors, Surron, etc! Zero has been making electric motorcycles for ~13 years now in CA. Right now I have to choose whether I want EV relevant info, or motorcycle relevant info in the Waze app. Please consider adding a Electric Motorcycle vehicle type for us lucky users, in this growing market segment!

    Under HAZARD> Be careful! Road very bumpy, needs repaving

    Hazard> Road and/or Highway has NO street lights, Be careful driving

    Hazard> Wildlife, seen on/ or on side of road.

    HAZARD> Left lane closed

    HAZARD> Right lane closed

    Hazard> Make an option as to which side of highway or road accident was reported on left or right.

    REPORT> New traffic light added.

    HAZZARD> Crash over, vehicles still pulled over

    REPORT> Crash/ Accident over, tow truck on road to remove vehicle

  4. One Touch Reports in Car Play / Android Auto - Customizable

    It would be great to have the ability to customize one-touch reports.
    See the attached imgur photo.
    In this case, I made vehicle on shoulder, police, and object on the road as my "One Touch."
    I also added a compass to the navigation bar on the bottom left. (The compass I used is far too busy for Waze.)

  5. Custom vehicle

    All want different vehicles, is it possible to either take picture of your vehicle or find on net and upload to waze. Then have waze turn it into your vehicle icon vs. The few you have like batman joker etc..

    It would make this alot more personal, vs just adding vehicle in setting, which I belive is new.

  7. Wrong way driver alert

    Wrong way driver alert. Alert wazers if they enter a freeway on ramp going in the wrong direction also alert other wazers with a loud audible alarm (much like the Amber alert alarm) that there is a wrong way driver approaching.

  8. Place Photos

    To report a Place via the client, the user is required to first take a photo before entering any details.

    This process should be changed as it:

    • discourages Wazers from adding a Place if it is dark/raining or other factors prevent them from taking a satisfactory photo, and;

    • results in ineffective photos (blurry, dark, inappropriate) being added which do not fulfil the intended purpose of assisting other Wazers to identify the Place.

    Making Photos optional when adding a Place, and adding the ability to upload from the Camera Roll/Computer/etc, would improve the Waze map by enabling Wazers to add Places…

    Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not planned since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

    We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.

  11. Using of G-Sensor

    If Waze will collect data from G Sensor, than it can automatically detect holes on the road, crashes and bad roads (4×4). Program may ask user what kind of hole it is - is it mistake, real hole, etc. If sensor detects constant shakes, than Waze can mark road as bad.

    Have speed camera, police and booze buses as all different icons so people can tell the difference between them. 1 icon for all police isn't specific enough.

    "Buckle up and let's cruise the vistas"
    "Turn left before I turn my foot right in your ass"
    "You made the wrong turn dumbass, are you on dope?"
    "You're going the wrong way dumbass, turn around before I put my foot in your ass"

    ANY classic Red Forman quotes would be fantastic!

  14. COVID-19 Outbreak Tracking

    Provide daily COVID-19 Outbreak Tracking. Your app should display red shaded bubbles over areas with outbreaks, with the bubble size proportional to the outbreak size. For example right now on March 19, 2020, there would be a large shaded red bubble over New York City. This would correspond to the current outbreak in New York city, and advise motorist to avoid this area as a stopover or even as a drive-through. This could help motorists avoid contamination and/or travel delays in the future if there are “containment “ areas. (You could get the data feed from John’s Hopkins or others)

  15. Keep Santa Claus voice all year round

    I’m a recent Waze User - started using Waze just before Christmas - I just love the Santa Claus voice - so funny and upbeat- I put it on even though I know where I’m going
    This morning I am all set to have Santa guide me to work and he’s gone,
    The other voices are so boring - I’m sorry to say - and that Boy Band voice is the most annoying
    Just my opinion

  17. Public Bathroom Button

    Have a button that when pushed routes drivers to the nearest public bathroom and then returns to route once done with the bathroom. I've seen other suggestions that are related, but I think it needs to be something really simple because the bathroom issue usually comes up when someone says "we need to stop NOW" and it's never at a convenient time!

    It wood be nice if one can actually choose the address from your phone contacts, not only by searching in it.
    A lot of people store address trough the phone contacts it would be nice just selecting the contact information from contact book.

  19. license plate reporting / review review system for bad drivers

    Currently, there is no system of checks and balances for bad or dangerous drivers. If someone is driving recklessly, or dangerously (slamming on brakes, threatening people, road rage) the only recourse is 911, which doesn't always apply and would increase erroneous / wasteful emeergency calls which should be used for more important emergencies.

    If the DMV won't listen, then I hope application developers like Waze, or someone else would implement this feature so that bad drivers can be tracked and reported via license plate in a community fashion.

    Then hopefully, the DMV will do something and create a review program…

  20. Display shield AND road name in the app

    Please consider displaying one or more shields along with a road name in the app. Ideally, we could have the option to display more than one shield, but at least one would be very helpful. Other nav apps already do this today.

    Currently, we can either display a single shield on a road OR the primary road name. Many roads are known by a common name but also have one or more shields that can be very important for navigation. Some intersections have a road name sign, while others only have a shield sign. Frequently, locals may know the road…
