We plan to work on Android Automotive in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

Hi all,
Thanks for this suggestion. We currently have other features which can account for this, like Roadshields and the towards option.
Editors should continue to avoid creating short segments where they aren't necessary, however this issue will be resolved by other future feature releases.
Many thanks,
Waze Communities Team

An error occurred while saving the comment turbomkt commentedReporters won't understand what we mean if we say pretty much anything about edits to the map.
It's kind of like calling customer service agent for *any* company. They have the ability to make notes on the trouble ticket so one person can read what another has done and pick up where it was left off.
Map comments are best at the point of the edit, which might not be the same point as the report. (We got a report in New York for a routing issue in Napa, California, this weekend!)

An error occurred while saving the comment turbomkt commentedHi! The best way to do this is submit a report using the Waze app, or post in the forums.
In this case, someone else saw your report here and posted in the forum. I have removed the old location. Anyone who has searched and found the old location should remove it from Waze and search again for best results.

Can you explain how Roadshields has anything to do with minimum segment length? What you describe is a rare thing and doesn't work for Android Auto or CarPlay, which are becoming ubiquitous and is a different discussion to be had elsewhere.
Consider a street in a business district. If we map and connecter every parking lot road, in the correct geometry, it can result in very short segments. Are we expected to put a junction box over all of them? Current JB limitations would make this impractical. But knowing the minimum segment length that would allow us to attempt to map to reality. I think Gil would appreciate that.
