1. Max speed trip estimate

   I drive an road e-bike, which has a max speed of 32kmh due to legal restrictions in Ontario. It would be great if we could specify a max vehicle speed and Waze could take that into account when estimating how long it will take to arrive at a destination.

2. maximum one report per X miles

   Hi there,

   Waze is awesome and everyone is using it. Some like me to navigate from Northern Denmark all the way to Romania on holiday others just to find out about speed traps.

   In Romania, Waze caught a lot of media attention so we have a lot of new users, who are obsessed with the points. The new users part is good. We get more reports, more places, we improve on the map problems and we know exactly where the police is :)))

   But then due to the point system, the new users instead of thanking for a reported police trap they keep re-posting the same thing a lot. This leads to 10-20 police reports for only one police speed trap.

   In a village which was 1km long I've seen 13 police reports for the same police car. I generally look from time to time on the map, and even if it is a police marked on the other side I pay attention to the speed limit.

   It would be nice to have a limit of reports per a certain distance. I've used other police trap apps and they were limiting the distance between the reports. This way you could only report another police trap if it as more than 1 km away from an already existing one.
   This is also happening for traffic reports where on a stretch of 1km road you get 20-30 heavy/standstill traffic. This will only load the server and client uselessly and also consume more data on the end user and server.

   SUGGESTION: Limit the number of POLICE (visible or invisible)/WEATHER/TRAFFIC/CAR STOPPED ON SHOLDER/ROAD WORKS reports to maximum 1 per 1km in both directions. If a user tries to post a new similar/identical report, use his report as a THANK YOU for the existing report and warn the user to use the thank you (thumbs up) button next time.
   The pothole report should be left as it is, as you might have potholes 800m apart.

3. a 1 touch button for Hazard on Side of Road. Currently must do 5 steps-"Orange Update"/"Hazard"/"Shoulder"/"Vehicle Stopped"/"Send". THAT m

   Add/Create a 1 touch button for a specific use.on Home Screen.
   I would like to use as "Hazard on Side of Road" ALERT.

   I could assign to a "Shoulder Hazard", you mighht want to dedicate it to Police, someone else might want it to be Item on Road, someone along coast might be Water on Road.

   Currently must do 5 steps-
   "Orange Update"/"Hazard"/"Shoulder"/"Vehicle Stopped"/"Send".
   THAT IS a lot of steps to do especially if by yourself.
   Also buy the time I get it sent, I might be at next exit??

5. Map display distribution

   An option to change the map display distribution when kt is in horizontal position. I prefer have the indicationa in the right side and the route in the left side

6. Adds to map locations you are no longer at

   When you arrive at your destination you should be able to go back into map locations you are not at and make reports.. Ex find street previously driven and report police in parking lot of gas station hidden so that if you can't imeadiately make report the info is still given.

7. Add School as a Category

   Currently, there is no way to program School as a main destination. We have WORK and HOME, but no SCHOOL. This is a huge oversight., With so many of us working from home, driving the kids to school is the majority of the driving we do these days.

8. New different possible routes interface now not user friendly

   The previous way to recheck the possible different routes was way more user friendly. When the options were in list form, with one glance we could see the different possibilities and as well as details for each of those routes. With the new format we only see time to destination and no other info. Please go back to the old format. Change is not always for the better.

9. The left panel cannot anymore be open by left sliding gesture. Please set active again. It is really useful

   This feature has been recently deactivated (confirmed via email by Waze). Nevertheless, it was really useful.
   When you are driving with an active destination, a rapid left sliding gesture enabled to access to a recent or favorite destination to add as an intermediate stop.
   More simpler than by clicking on the seach magnifier down the screen

10. Different preferences while navigating

    There are several settings that I want to change according to whether or not I am navigating to a destination. Please give up options like "on when navigating, off when not navigating" in addition to the existing "on"/"off" options.

    For example, I should be able to make the following settings:

    North Up when not navigating; actual or desired travel direction up when
    navigating;

    2D view when not navigating; 3D view when navigating;

    Auto zoom off when not navigation; Auto zoom by distance when navigating.

11. android auto - location of icons

    It would be great if the location of icon is on the side of where the driver seated. For example, if Waze is used in USA, the icons should be on the left side of the screen. If waze is used in India, icons should be on the right side of the screen. If not all icons can be moved around, at least the speed and speed limit icons placement would be good enough. That way a driver do not have to reach farther for an action or look further to see the speed/speed limit.

12. Fewer taps to make a report

    When using CarPlay (or even my phone when I'm the right-side passenger), to report a vehicle stopped on the side of the road I must tap the orange "Report" circle, choose "Hazard," "Shoulder," "Vehicle Stopped." In CarPlay, when driving that takes my eyes from the road at least four times to identify/locate/push the appropriate button to make the report. Rather than spelling out the words for each part of the notice - perhaps readily identifiable icons could be "stacked" under the headings. As with "QWERTY," there are gestures/reports most often used that could be located in priority locations on the screen.

13. Move the notification box on Android auto to the left or to the top

    The notification box is terribly annoying when you don't set a destination; it covers the center of the map making your vehicle icon and the map useless. Move it to the left corner or to the top banner.

14. Driving lane information

    It would be great if a user that put notification about stopped vehicle, could also mark on which lane the event happened or is present, for example: stopped on the side, on the first lane, on the second lane or third lane

15. Fix the follow my friend, it used to show the icon and how far. Also bring back the moving icon on the follow my friend drive

    The map used to have a feature that would have a friends icon that would move on the map instead of every 5 or 10 minutes. Also can you fix the follow my friend on the home map that used to show as a icon of your friend on the right side along with their status if there trip.

16. Apple Carplay alert notification format

    Regarding Apple Carplay, the notifications for cops, hazards, etc is set up that the "Thanks & Not There" are over & under each other. I feel they should be side to side instead. 1st its already risky to take eyes off the road to press on the alert but as the car is in motion and roads flow naturally in an up & down motion, It's pretty easy to confirm the wrong answer. If they were side by side, It completely reduces the clicking of the wrong answer.

17. pre-select most commonly used updates into nav screen buttons

    Have one main button on the navigation map screen that when pressed dynamically separates into 6 buttons (3 on the left [upper corner, midlevel, lower corner], 3 on the right). This would cut down on the clutter when an update is not needed.

    Allow the user to customize these buttons to their most commonly used ones. For me, they would be car on the shoulder, heavy traffic, and hidden cop. If the update was on my side of the road, I would customize these to the right 3 buttons. If they were on the opposite side, I could customize these to the left 3 buttons allowing for some laterality of sorts.

    Once one of the six buttons are pressed, the update would be entered immediately without an option to save it for later.

    The suggestion allows to user to quickly update map information in a shorter amount of time due to familiarity and less button pressing. This will ultimately shorten the time the user's eyes are off the road and improve the safety level of using this great app.

18. Feature// Trip plan advisor

    Hey guys, It thought that the following feature might be an excellent way to use Waze's huge mass data on its DBs to extract a very simple conclusion - At what time should I leave home.

    Now I have seen a few other suggestions to a similar effect, but decided to write a new one becuase they were old and I don't think they capured the same potential.
    So what is this feautre? The way I imagine it, Waze should offer an Advisor option on its menu (right next to nevegate, my waze etc.). This will open a new window where you will need to fill 3 fields: your starting point, your destination and the hour and date you need to be at the destination.
    The calculation should compare in Waze DBs these all other trips using these three factors:

    Starting point and Destination - Other trips that have taken place whose origins and destinations where anywhere in a 1 km radios (for example, could be more or less) from the waypoints the user typed in.

    Time and date - Examine only the above-mentioned trips which have taken place on the same day of the week last week, past month and the same date last year.

    These calculations should show a tendency which can be translated into advice on when to leave home, based on past user experiences.

    We tend to know these tendencies when it comes to obvious times (In Israel for instance Saturday night has alot more traffic then Friday night, during July-August summer vacations roads are much emptier during morning hours etc.), but I truly believe that a solution like this complies beautifuly with Waze's mission to use the inteligence of the masses and help us nevigate as smarter, more informed drivers.

20. Option to close waze without confirming or double tapping screen

    I use waze on every drive, due to this my phone is always logged in when driving (use a pin to access). While sitting in traffic one evening 2 robbers forced my window down, unlocked my car, opened the door and grabbed my phone. I would appreciate if an option could be added to close waze without confirming or by double tapping the screen in order for a phone to lock itself asap so that it can't be used or accessed. This would be much easier to do in a state of panic than to press the power/lock button on the side.
