Give warning when routing through ferries
Hi,
Currently Waze gives you a warning when routing through toll roads, but not when routing through ferries where the majority are also paid. It would be nice that Waze also then gives a warning when routing with ferries.

Eliminate buggy interface
Toll notification in Android auto turns off turn by turn completely when pop up is closed. Make it work without telling me about tolls for hours.

"This route avoids tolls" when avoid-tolls option is on.
Suggestion: A note that "This route avoids tolls" when avoid-tolls option is on.
We (and others too) had that we were taking a much longer route (more than 40 minutes extra!) because we didn't realize that avoid-tolls is on...

Add routes that *avoid* red light and speed cameras similar to routes that avoid tolls.
Similar to routes that avoid tolls there should be routes that avoid speed cameras and red light cameras.

Add tollbooth locations from menu
In South Africa, we have a number of toll booths on our major roads. Would be very informative to know where they are.

Dynamically configure waze session based on Bluetooth connection (for motorbike/car/truck)
Certain apps have the ability to detect what Bluetooth device is connected.
My suggestion is to allow users to pre-configure different Bluetooth connections to different vehicular modes, for example, a Bluetooth headset may be used on a motorbike and therefore Waze could detect that this Bluetooth connection is present and set itself for motorbike mode, likewise, an in-car radios own Bluetooth connection could be configured for a car, and finally, a different Bluetooth connection could also be configured for a truck, I envisaged then that this would allow users to predefine certain options like toll passes, low emission zones and…

Geotagged event triggers
Allow the user to define an event such as playing one of your own sounds, display one of your own photos or play a music track at or near specific places. Example uses - get onto a fast stretch of road and your music changes, and changes back when you get into town again. Let me view routes while using CarPlay
New update has disabled viewing different routes on phone, feature was very helpful as it displayed toll prices.

MORE navigation options, in addition to shorter time or distance
I would LOVE for waze to have multiple options for routes. For instance :
Standard options:
- shortest distance
- shortest time
Standard avoids :
- avoid toll roads
- avoid highwaysNew ones:
- least turns
- least traffic lights ;New avoiding routes:
- avoid construction routes
- avoid one lane streets

Add the garage with vehicles and settings
I would suggest you introduce the concept of garage. The possibility of adding your own cars to the garage, being able to describe the types of cars, and relate the navigation configurations to the vehicles. In this way, by choosing the vehicle used at that moment with a single button, all the navigation configurations will be automatically set.
For example, I use an electric scooter and with the scooter, I don't want to drive on the motorways, I want to avoid toll roads and I have the permits for restricted areas of the city.

Search bar for Tolls and HOV passes
In the Tolls and HOV passes menu, there are a lot of passes for a while (in the past there were only passes for my country), and I have to scroll through them to find the pass I'm looking for. It is really a lot, I guess for the whole of Europe. It would be beneficial to have a search bar for this menu to be able to filter/search passes.

Why can't I get the route I want? I want to go from L.A. to San Francisco via route 101. Why Can't I get that on Waze?
I want to take route 101 to San Francisco from L.A. Why can't I do it? It is not a choice of route and I can't adjust the route. Also, why does it keep sending me thorough TOLL roads? I don't want to go through tolls.

route overview
Please add an option to see either a birds-eye overview or a turn-by-turn list (or both?) of the route Waze is taking me on.
Sometimes I know I want to avoid a particular road. So when Waze plots a route for me at the start, I can review the proposed alternate routes and choose one. But if I need to deviate from that route to make a side errand maybe, Waze will recalculate my route on the fly, going back to its #1 preferred route. Add the Grand Parkway 99 in Harris county Tx. I switched to google maps until you add - doesn’t make sense not to as all toll roads in Tx are options.

Single Lane with/without passing places
In the UK, we have a large number of narrow two way roads which are often only the width of a single vehicle. You can often meet oncoming traffic head-on with no easy way of passing unless one driver decides to reverse. Either that, or at best, you both end up with scratched paintwork.
Waze has no way of knowing which roads are narrow, so will often route along this type of road. Many of us would prefer to take a longer route to avoid this type of road.

Reminder about roll transponders
We share an EZ pass between two cars, and sometimes have forgotten to switch it to the car we will drive on a route that has tolls. When we input a destination that requires tolls, how about if Waze were to ask “Do you gave your toll transponder with you?” It would be awesome. I bet this feature would be helpful to many people. Waze Rider - No option to split tolls?
Was doing a research project on Waze Rider. For starters see a few evident loopholes, which could use some improvements.
- Why are the Tolls not being divided between the Rider and the Driver?
- that leads to my other observation, in the NYC metro area crossing from NJ-NYC is predominantly via the downtown Holland and Midtown Lincoln tunnels and uptown GW bridge. Tolls for riders in a car are $16; this significantly drops if you have 3 or more passengers. Location based fare calculation would be more beneficial.2 votesThanks for your feedback.
