  1. Option for avoiding hov

Why is Waze being so stubborn with not creating an option for AVOIDING HOV lanes, like the simple checkbox for avoiding ferries??? A solo driver CANNOT be in a HOV lane by themselves during rush hour .. why is this so difficult to understand??? But instead I have to see directions to either get into the hov when I can't, or out of it when I was never in it in the first place.... C'mon now.... Stop focusing on a 100 voice options (that you can't easily sample in advance of actually driving btw) provide simple common sense features....

  2. Waze isn’t the same

Ever since like last year Waze was always amazing but recently after the last few updates the navigation has turned out to be as bad as Google Maps! Takes me down unnecessary roads, slow to tell me the next direction, takes longer to recalculate, has trouble finding my destination before I start driving...it’s just a mess. If Waze didn’t have all the alert features, I’d stop using the app 🙄 I really hope they fix all the issues. I love Waze but these issues are causing stress and wasted gas and time

  3. HOV lanes: Specifically on Long Island Expressway.

This is about the HOV lane on the Long Island Expressway in NY.

During off peak hours, Waze ALWAYS directs you into the HOV lane.
    1) The HOV is one lane as opposed to 3 or 4 lanes on the mail road. During off peak it's not usually faster.
2)The main problem with this, is when Waze "thinks" you're in the HOV, all notifications for Police, emergency vehicles, etc. stop unless someone in the HOV lane makes the report.

That even goes for when the Police are hiding on the left shoulder on the left of the HOV.

    There's no…

  4. Voice navigation starts route straight away

When on a route I sometimes need to say 'take me to the nearest gas station' when I need to fill up and do not know the nearest but want to add a stop.

However it then prompts me to click on a particular option, which is illegal when driving. You should implement 'select XXX' feature or just start a diversion to the nearest so I don't have to pull over to touch the screen.

Even when saying 'Take me to BP insert town' it still has to do a search and you have to click - it won't…

  5. Shortcut to settings while navigating

I have one major piece of feedback. While one is driving and let’s say they decide during their route to avoid highways or toll roads, the user must stop the route, go to the settings, change the settings, reinsert the address and go. On Google Maps, there’s a shortcut to these settings so you don’t have to take all the those steps. Your app has to be safer to use. Let’s be real, people don’t always pull over to use their phone. When I’m in the middle of traffic and I have to go through all your steps to change…

  6. fix the close automatically

b the app closes in the background almost every time I turn the screen off it's aggravating the battery saver is off the battery settings on the phone are off the app just turns itself off whenever I close the app and I'm trying to navigate using a motorcycle I have to pull back the app open it up again start it back up and it says are you still trying to get to this place well yeah clearly I am you know I didn't close the app or turn it off the app does it on its own it's…

  7. Telling Driver to Turn

    Two things.

Please provide more time to turn when you advise a driver to make a turn. In a 25 mph zone, it is fine. But if you are in a 50-60 mph zone, you are into the turn by the time Waze says turn or you are going past turn.

Secondly, stop having that green carpool thing pop up. It often pops up when I'm about to get to my turn which means I have to reach for my phone, slide the car pool thing off the screen to get back to my directions. Since I shouldn't be on…

  10. Reduce the excessive frequency of too many warnings on the same stretch of road

    Good morning.
I would kindly like to suggest an implementation of functions, regarding voice warnings, as they are truly TOO MANY and TOO FREQUENT on the same stretch of road! Very repetitive indeed, and so distracting!
In fact, constantly hearing the voice assistant that in a verbose way warns you every 200 meters, instead of just once, or at most twice, no longer makes you pay attention to any turns or changes.

We couldn't even talk to each other in the car anymore, with that continuous non-stop voice every two minutes! I had to disable them completely and proceed by…

  11. Make trip info screen to refresh itself when opened with the ^ button.

Trip info window that opens with ^ button should refresh itself every time when it is called. Right now if I want to update it I have to stop navigation and close Waze and start it again and set my destination again.
Sometimes I want to look what is ahead without scroll the whole navigation map (which sometimes I do) and that distracts me from the road.
Sometimes I want to check how soon are the speed cameras or something else.
Currently trip info windows just shows static info from the beginning of navigation which is not convenient for long…

  12. Can you please give us the option "Turn right only"?

Can you please give us the option "Turn right only when possible", and get itineraries, or directions, with only right turns to you destination? It's sometimes impossible to turn Left in big American cities like Los Angeles. Conan, the late night show host, hinted to this when he visited your offices in 2017 in Tel Aviv, and asked if your app could stop telling him to turn left from 14th street onto Montana. I know this part of town, and I can attest to this: It is impossible to turn left there... But it's like that all over town!!! Plus,…

  13. 2 offers: navigation and user play journey

Hi, my name is Nirit and I have 2 suggestions for you:

Offer 1# - a feature that allows a faster route to the destination
I want to reach my destination, but it is not always important for me to reach exactly the specific number on the specific side of the street.

That is, I don't mind walking a few meters and parking on the side opposite the destination, or near the destination further down the street - especially when the other side or a few meters nearby will save me time and allow me a faster route, for example…

  14. Contextual road navigation elements

Waze (so far) does not fully account for overall road context in navigation. We've (ie. my partner and I) have found it treating all roads equally when picking a route, whether urban, rural, wide, narrow, usually parrtially blocked by parked cars, etc. So, I suggest adding a set of options to the system and the navigation algorithm which allows weighting by road type. This could be selected or deselected manually by the user, with some default setting sets (ie. "Prefer Highways", "The Scenic Route", etc).

Based on roads we've used, we suggest the following classifications:

    Highway
    Fast-moving multi-lane road with…

  16. Appointment mode for client/ kid appointments

Implement client/kid appointment feature for parents and personal service business like nurses, social workers, etc:

    1. Automatically add a location to pick up a kid/ client BEFORE navigating to dropoff location based on appointment time

    2. Automatically schedule a reverse 2-stop navigation if driver inputs an appointment end time. 2nd stop should default to client's original pickup location but allow driver to edit if client is being dropped off to a different location.

    3. Optimize Navigation so drivers are on same side of the street for safe dropoff. It's a nightmare being late to appointments because destination is on the left on busy road, causing…

  18. Navigate only to the town's boundary

When I set a town as my destination without specifying a street, Waze (and Google Maps) navigates me to a point inside the town, usually its center. However, I want it to only navigate to the town's boundary instead. How can I achieve this? There should be an option in the settings to allow navigation only to the town limits, but I can't find anything like that.
This is especially frustrating when setting a town as an intermediate stop, because in such cases, the navigation should only route through it instead of taking me deep inside the town."
