Mojio OBD cellular GPS
There is a new device called Mojio www.moj.io on the market. It's an obd reader with a GPS and a cellular module. They have an SKD and API and I think it could be cool to include this in waze. Few things it could do with waze.
For trip that you forget to open waze it could automaticly use the mojio gps and this way get trafic information for others.
You could always know where your car is parked in waze.
Waze could notify you after a trip if you forget to lock doors.

Waze Airport Map
Produce Waze Maps for airports denoting whole airport & parking, hotels, even EVchargers etc for Public use.
Compete, bid for Airport complexMaps.
No one else does.
Use HDTV for Visual Map fixed display with U ARE HERE logo.
Map can have audio speakers & speak say 10 languages??
For airports like SFO, LAX in CA alone.
EZ to read, relate, usable, updatable IE airport construction.

Show small roads in rural areas
The Waze client, and also the "live map" on the web site, hides smaller roads as you zoom out. This is fine in cities where there are many roads. However, in rural areas, the small roads are simetimes the only roads, and if they are hidden then the map can appear completely blank.
I suggest changing to an algorithm that takes the amount of clutter into account. Something like "first disply the major highways; if the screen is not yet too cluttered then also display the minor highways; if the screen is not yet too cluttered then also display the…

Airport interactive app
Love your map. And Im great at telling other people what to do. Most people panic about how early to get to an airport. What about an interactive app for people to report how busy the airport is. Each terminal, each airline. Lines long or short? Long term parking at x is wide open. Come in from thw east cuz west is backed up. I know you get the idea. Do me a favor and start with Sky Harbor. Lol

Find a way to avoid spurious hazard reporting of cars stopped on the shoulder when parked safely and posing no risk to drivers
It seems I'm many times a week on freeway journeys seeing situations where a hazard alert will come up for a car stopped when the car in question is safely parked (usually with no occupant outside or in proximity) 4-5m away from the road itself presenting zero actual hazard to road users whatsoever. It often gives a 'for the sake it' type of feel (as if reported someone's kid is in the passenger seat bored). It is pretty annoying and often jolting when it happens say more than 5 times in a 1 hr journey whilst you're driving along…

Optional "Why this destination" so user can add brief voice note that plays when arriving
This should by for optional use and provide the user the option to voice record a brief 30 sec to 1 minute message for why they are traveling to a destination. Examples: Sales rep visiting a location could set s voice prompt that plays upon arrival with their message playback like: who the receptionist is, where they were recommended to park, who they will be meeting with etc..., Example 2: Taking kids to a birthday party message could be left to remind driver of the parents' names, special instructions or reminders. Registration plate recognition and automatic tagging of police vehicles
Due to the proliferation of unmarked police cars and unmarked mobile speed cameras (parked cars) with no warning signs, it is now necessary to take it one step further and use the video feed from dash cams (both front and rear) and character recognition to automatically tag a police vehicle by its registration plate (after that registration plate has been manually tagged). If a user is travelling with that vehicle, the vehicle's location would be updated live. Option to dial a pre-set at the score we set
If we can set a waypoint at this point the device will automatically dial the number we set the option for that spot and given a solution for those who want to open a parking gate, Gate City or notify a friend who we got without leaving waze

Waze Beaches
Coastal cities and visitors would greatly benefit from a waze extension that allows real time updates on beach events, parking lot updates, surf warnings, travel time etc... I think having this for all coastal cities would be essential and I bet it would take off as a separate waze app or extension to waze. I know I'd use it!

Would like carpool system for non-commute activities
We need a way to connect people in carpools who are going to the same hike or outing, or perhaps a concert or performance. Different from a commute carpool in that each occasion is unique.
People in outdoor organizations care about their carbon footprint, yet unless they are actual friends with someone they usually don’t have a way to arrange rides or carpooling.
It would be great to be able to have each club sponsor/pay for Waze and enable all their members planning to go on a specific outing to connect with each other to arrange to carpool. Names assigned recently for some existing public lanes by East York council in Toronto
I'm a collge journalist student. On September 16, 2019 the council approved to add names of people and other historical aspects of Toronto to some existing public lanes for people to easily navigate to and had 2 street closures..
I'll add the info here for the update but in return I would appreciate a quote for my article which really will help me graduate since I'm in my final year.
What is the process of getting you navigation system updated and how long will it take?

Add a gate/restricted option for gated communities/parks/highways and time of travel restrictions
There are some roads that you can only travel on if you have permission, such as a private road that requires a gate code or key. There are other public roads that are only passable at certain times of the year (e.g. Hwy 120 in Yosemite due to snow conditions).
That private road may still be open to the general public during certain hours of the day. As well that public road may only be open during certain seasons. As well someone else pointed out that certain roads have turns restricted based on time of the day.

The app should show us the toll at the highway. Also in a near future waze should tell us where there is a parking place near our desteny.
The app showing us and telling us the toll ahead on the highway and the price.

Routing/Re-Routing "Aggressiveness" Setting
Sometimes I'm ok with the "stay on the freeway, even though it may be a bit longer due to traffic". Other times, I want to take every shortcut possible to shave a few minutes off my trip. The most aggressive setting might refresh every 2-3 minutes, and suggest non-traditional routes like alleys, service roads, neighborhood cut-throughs, and even parking lots, if there is any chance it will shorten the trip. A less aggressive setting (default) would keep you on easy-to-follow routes like freeways and major roads.

Corporate carpool subscription?
Hi,
Any plans to allow a subscriber company to have an isolated waze carpool limited to its own employees?
This provides some initial vetting for all carpool participants, perhaps alleviating some of the uncertainty around joining a carpool.
Features might include average monthly rider calculations, by location, that the organization can then use in renegotiating subsidized parking fees from local lot/garage providers to include shared spots. The number can also be used to calculate carbon emissions offset using the calculation defined by the EPA (https://www.epa.gov/energy/greenhouse-gas-equivalencies-calculator), giving the organization some good internal and external PR.

Allow Restriction Conditions for Workspaces; & Allow Areas to have Local Permit/Pass Types (IE: Student Parking, Staff Parking)
Certain Roadways are set as restricted due to having gates, or other access controlling systems in place. The Waze Engine ignores these roadways as far as I am aware, which can affect those who work in the area. I think it would be a cool feature to have the ability to allow Regional Restrictions, it would benefit large sites, such as Colleges, Gated Communities, and other high density areas with varying road restrictions.
