Increase notification distance of police & traffic cameras to 5 miles
Extend police and traffic camera notifications, I myself will not use this product until this is corrected.

Use Simplistic Terms for Directions Where Possible
To make navigation easier, use simplistic terms for navigation. For example, instead of "In 300 feet, turn right", if possible you could say "at the next intersection, turn right" or "at the end of the road, turn right". Other simplistic terms could be "at the next traffic light, turn left".

Holiday feature to place report pins on awesome residential holiday light displays.
We took our child out last night trying to find great holiday light displays. We founds some good ones but crowd sourcing great displays would be awesome. Especially if the more people tagged a display the more prominent it would appear in Waze.

Traffic jam notifications
For example, I am on highway and 15 km in front of me is a trafic jam, so I want waze to notify me, that the trafic jam is there. Is that possible and is possible to add it into app? I was looking for it in settings, but I didn't found it.

Improve the way that traffic reporting works in cities
Avid Urban waze users like myself often find that our traffic reports will only cover a tiny segment of road, often only 100 or 200 ft. It seems this behavior has something to do with the way that the roads are segmented. There have been many times that I will be in traffic on an urban road in Chicago, report the traffic to help the community, and see that my report barely extends in front of and behind the icon of my vehicle. I'll either spam traffic reports every couple hundred feet while I'm in traffic to cover more length…

Display traffic jam time delay on the map.
When browsing the map, Waze currently only shows the average movement speed of traffic jams. Perhaps show this as average time spent in the traffic jam, or estimated time to pass through the traffic jam, instead?

Can we please have a way to flag roads as traffic calmed?
Waze repeatedly tries to direct me onto roads that have traffic calming humps, which wears out my suspension & throws my tracking out. I'd like for there to be a way to flag up roads as traffic calmed in the map editor and for there to be an option "Avoid traffic calming". People with SUVs can carry on driving over the humps but folks like myself who like a stiffened, lowered suspension would be very thankful to avoid the almost off-road experience these measures create.

Bring back map chats as entertainment for standstill traffic jams
Map chat reports let us know what's actually causing the traffic jams, and potential ways to help resolve it. Also provides entertainment during long completely standstill traffic jams.

Traffic Direction/Headings - N, E, E, SW, etc.
It would be helpful to know (and report) what direction/heading the heavy traffic is moving (or not moving) i.e. N, E, SW, etc
When I see heavy traffic icons, I'm not sure if it is on my route or going the other way. I think it would benefit other Wazers, if I could alert traffic conditions in the opposite lanes as well... similar to Police or Accident "on the other side."2 votes -

Based on daily accident reports, mark areas with a high frequency of accidents as high-risk. Provide a voice warning: "You are approaching a dangerous area with a high concentration of traffic accidents - drive with increased caution!"In urban conditions, it can also be applied to dangerous intersections: "Dangerous intersection ahead."
For turns where accidents are often marked: "Caution, dangerous turn ahead!"
These voice warnings could greatly contribute to the safety of road users. It is important that they have a voice alert before entering the specific section.

Traffic status sidebar on a route
It would be very useful to add to the navigation screen, as happens with traffic jams, a bar that always shows us the traffic status on the screen, identical to the one we see when clicking on route summary but as I say, always on the screen on the same side. than that of traffic jams and that it would be updated by adding problems later without having to touch the screen to see it.

Show 3 color (green, yellow, red) traffic time it will take to leave later.
Show 3 color (green, yellow, and red, not reddish-orange) traffic time it will take to leave later. The reddish-orange bar is not easy to interpret how much up coming traffic will take place, when planning the trip for later.

Reroute traffic from Penelope Avenue in Middle Village Queens
Avoid directing cars onto Penelope Avenue in Middle Village, Queens from Metropolitan Ave and Juniper Vally Blvd. The latter two streets are much better suited for high traffic volume, particularly during rush hour. When drivers are directed to Penelope by Waze, it creates backup as the street is not designed to accommodate the same amount of two way traffic, and has also increased traffic related incidents as a result.

Recalculate button and earlier "heavy traffic reported head" warning
I use Waze regularly and quite often 2 things come to mind.
1. Why isn't there a "recalculate" botton available so that I can force Waze to recalculate my optimal road whenever I want to?
For example:
On my way to work every morning (35 km/22 miles away), there is a section of the highway where the road splits in two, and depending on traffic, sometimes going to the right is faster, while other times is faster on the left. ALERTS - NOTIFICATION ADVANCED BASED ON ACTUAL SPEED, NOT AT FIXED DISTANCES.
Reduce notification distance (based on speed limits, best on current average speed, better on a setting based on current average speed).
It often happens me that on city roads the navigator gives me informations about three crossroads ahead causing confusion.
I hear "traffic light with camera" I expect it to be the very next traffic light, not the the one after that.
Or "railroad crossing ahead" and I turn on a road 100m before the railroad (using waze just for map, not for actual navigation).

Option to say "not here" for traffic and construction.
Wake feed alerts seem to be old and inaccurate with no way to clear or report completed. Allow drives to vote construction and traffic reports off the map

Better update lenght traffic jams
My experience in the Netherlands is that it takes a lot of time before a traffic jam that by example is resolved is removed from the map. Why not an option, like danger on the route, to let it manage bij users. You can let know that there is a jam but you can not let know that it is resolved.
