Avoid Specific Countries When Routing
Hello Google Maps/Apple Maps/Waze Team,
I would like to propose a very important routing feature that is currently missing from all major navigation apps:
📌 Feature: Avoid Specific Countries When Routing
Users should be able to select one or more countries they do NOT want to enter during navigation.
Similar to “Avoid highways” or “Avoid tolls,” but for entire countries.Why this feature matters:
In many regions (especially the Balkans, Eastern Europe, Middle East, etc.), some users are not allowed to enter certain countries due to political restrictions, documentation issues, or border regulations.

Update Peachtree Corners City Hall
I sent a message a few weeks back and was told that we were in Norcross so it wasn’t going be updated. I have a very high volume of complaints of people thinking that we were in Norcross that’s why didn’t pull a permit. Or they go to Norcross City Hall thinking that that’s where they need to go. We border Norcross but we are not in Norcross haven’t been since 2012. A few people quit using Waze because of it.

Display alphabet and voice guiding
Hello Waze developres!
I just drove through countries that use other alphabets than latin (cyrillic, greek). Waze gave me two nasty surprizes.
First: place names are displayed using the local alphabet, ignoring my interface language choice. Reading names / finding a place was impossible while driving, although i partially know those alphabets. Imagine having to stop on a highway just to find a place. I had to blindly follow the path to intended final destination, without being able to recognize anything on route. I strongly suggest displaying place names in an alphabet matching the user selection for interface language. Or…

Toll roads automatic on/off feature when frequently traveling abroad
It will be helpful if you could please add a feature that will automatically choose ON/OFF for TOLL ROADS when frequently traveling back and forth from ones home country to abroad.
Example, one uses toll roads at the "home" country but when abroad with a rental car wishes to avoid such roads.
Currently there's no such option so when landing abroad or crossing a border, one needs to remember to manually shut down the toll road option, then when arriving back to the home country needs to remember to turn it back on, otherwise the app navigates via much…

Highlight Slow Traffic by Changing Road Colors
Currently, when there is traffic congestion ahead, Waze does not clearly change the road color on the map. Sometimes it only shows thin orange borders, which is not enough for the driver to quickly recognize the slowdown.
It would be much more effective if, whenever there is congestion or slow traffic, the road itself changed color (instead of remaining purple). This would make it easier for drivers to anticipate and react to traffic conditions without relying only on borders or icons.

Australian TTS voice Kylie is only available while I'm in Australia - why region-lock voices?
We live in a world where people aren't restricted by country borders, and so it's always frustrating when you're faced with a feature or an app on your phone that's not available simply because of where in the world you might currently be.
I'm Australian and have really embraced using Waze over Google Maps over the years. One of the reasons this has been so easy is because of Kylie, the TTS voice I have selected. Is there a way to contact Waze and ask for a road to be removed as a shortcut option?
My road is a one-way, one-block street that is home to many kids and is bordered on one side by a park that draws many pedestrians. It used to be a quiet street. Recently, Waze started directing drivers to use our street as a shortcut to a busier street. Drivers unfamiliar with our road race down it, despite many signs asking them to slow down.
