2. Relocate speed trap notifications in Android Auto

   When navigating a route on Waze for Android Auto, speed trap notifications overlap with the distance and time-to-destination information. This is a problem because in large cities we have speed traps with very short distances, which means that one of the main pieces of information is usually hidden from the driver. I suggest relocating these notifications so that the time to destination is always visible.

3. Using the smartphone's front camera for alert about driver's tiredness

   In Android there is a feature named "smart stay" which allows the smartphone to recognize, using the front camera, if the user is watching the screen (in order to turn off the screen when not in use) - see

   I wonder whether it would be possible to create a similar function in Waze, that would recognize (by visually recognizing when the eyes close for longer than a fraction of second) and alert if the driver falls asleep. If this is possible (even partially), it can save lives.

4. Function maximal speed of the road

   Good day, dear waze company. I use three types of vehicles and it needs three different routes to one destination. The first vehicle is a Subaru. Waze is fine. The second is electric ionic. Here, I would like to use shorter routes without hills, and the third vehicle is a Fiat Ducato 1991 caravan. Here, I would need to enter my maximum speed into the application, for example 90 km/h, and choose a suitable route based on it. I would also appreciate this function in an electric car. Here I would choose, for example, 110 km/h and the route would be different. Because if I look for a route with a caravan where the highway is part of it, I can't go 130 because it's more than the design speed of the vehicle. That's why I prefer expressways or district roads and save money on highways and go in the same time. I miss a function: the possibility to enter the maximum speed of the vehicle or the planned route. Such an option leads to fuel savings and a reduction in CO2 production. I will be grateful for the new function :)

5. Be able to put the speed at the speed trap that exist or a new one. Like price at gas station.

   We should be able to configure the speed of that speed trap, editing or during the creation and it should appears at the pop up of the speed trap.

6. Speed changes - user cache

   Don't know if this counts as a bug or a feature request, please adjust accordingly.

   The issue surrounds changes in segment data and the user not entering a navigation resulting in sometimes the user getting wrong information about the speed limit, and the user may not understand why they see the wrong information.

   We get this an awful lot when a road has a speed limit change on Motorways and Dual Carriageways. When the speed changes, either to start, or to end, a construction project, we get UR reports from drivers with only a User Drive (GPS trace) and not a Waze Provided Route, suggesting the user hasn't entered a navigation. They are reporting things that have been updated on the map, such as new speed limits. It can sometimes take weeks to stop seeing URs along these segments, basically until the majority of drivers get updated maps on their devices.

   The ask is if it's possible for devices to be able to check if there are new data on previously downloaded segments in a driving area, and to update accordingly as the driver drives, and if there is a reason for not checking, to display Offline Maps Mode, so the user is aware they are using cached data for the route they are on.

   Don't know if this counts as a bug or a feature request, please adjust accordingly.

7. Send lane INTERDICTION alert through the vehicle's multimedia.

   Hello, I believe that the following idea is an improvement and it is not a possible bug solution, because the functionality would have been tested before the release of the version.

   When trying to send a lane interdiction alert through the vehicle's multimedia, the option does not appear, just using the cell phone without mirroring, I am using a cell phone with an IOS operating system, but the same behavior is seen with cell phones with an Android operating system.

   Particularly, I don't walk with my cell phone in hand while driving, nor would I like to stop the vehicle to be able to disconnect the cell phone mirroring with the vehicle's multimedia to be launching a lane INTERDICTION alert. This improvement would be very welcome.

   I'm a Waze editor and I got a bug response about this from a user, but I believe it's something that was unplanned and would be considered an improvement.

9. Alert me when traffic lightens up on a specified route

   I should be able to click on a route showing traffic and ask to receive an alert when the traffic lightens up on that route. This is good (for example) for people who have only one route home and want to know when to leave work without checking ease every five minutes.

10. Speed camera is less visible after new update

    After the recent update the speed cameras are hardly visible as its camouflaged into maps and other things please change it to how it was previously or make the speed cameras visible by making it bigger on the maps. I'm sure every waze users agrees with me.... If u check social media platforms others don't like it either.

11. A "Tell me when my commute is under an hour" mobile alert option.

    Would love a mobile alert that tells me when a given route/commute is under a certain time threshold. I usually stay at work until traffic is reasonable. Getting a mobile alert that lets me know when it's "safe" to leave would be awesome.

13. Alert events pop up is too big in new version

    The alert events pop up in new waze version is too big if you are using the landscape mode. This is making hard to see the map in front of you.

    Balloon pop up of older version in right corner was much better.

14. iPhone - Set position of GPS Speed

    I am in australia and we drive on right hand side of the car.
    This is request for the display when using iPhone CarPlay.
    I recently swapped from Samsung to iPhone. On Samsung the GPS Speed is on the right side of the display and easier to quickly see.
    But on iPhone the GPS speed is on the left side of the display, which makes it harder to look over to see.

    Can a setting be provided to set where GPS Speed is locate - left ot right of the display,

    This suggestion aims to enhance road safety and improve the accuracy of Waze navigation by implementing a feature that displays temporary speed limits in real-time. These are the limits indicated by the yellow or orange signs on portable stands often found in road repair and construction zones.
    Currently, Waze primarily relies on static, permanent speed limits for a given road segment. However, in areas with ongoing roadworks, the official speed limit is often temporarily reduced to ensure the safety of both drivers and road workers. Without this information being reflected in the app, Waze may still indicate the higher, permanent speed limit, which could lead to confusion and unsafe driving behavior.
    How it would work:
    Users could report a temporary speed limit change in a manner similar to reporting a road hazard or other alerts. A new category could be added to the reporting menu, such as "Temporary Speed Limit". The user would then be prompted to select the new, temporary speed limit and the length of the road segment affected.

17. Zoom in on Alert Icons

    I would like to be able to tap on an alert icon on the map and automatically zoom the map and see what the problem is. Currently I can see icons on the map but I can't zoom in enough to see exactly what they are about; when I tap the "+" to zoom in the map, it won't zoom in close enough to places outside my immediate area. I would like to know what is going on along my route before I'm close enough for your app to warn about the alert.

19. have a "slow vehicle" type with a CUSTOM TOP SPEED

    I drive antique vehicles which are often slow but i don't mind driving on highways so dont want to check "avoid freeways", i would just like that the navigtion algorythm takes my top speed (50mph for one car 65 for the other one) into account when calculating the route.
    this could be set in the "type of vehicles" menu, select "special" and have a customizable "top speed".
    then, even on a 80mph road, waze would only consider i'll make 50 and maybe reroute me on a shorter path !
    
    If you want to go further you could even set a "garage" in wich we set each of our our vehicles (cars, motorbikes, ...), their fuel and their top speed. it would popup at the app launch, and at travel planing, and allow us to keep all settings in memory.

    To the chosen speed limit, add thees alert options:
    - checkbox for soundalert
    - checkbox for light alert
    - checkbox for keep alerting while above the chosen limit...
    this allows you to chose a combination of them also...
