  1. Your voice guidance makes you look like fools

    Dr. Joe Smith, MD is NOT "Dr. Joe Smith, Maryland," and the VA Hospital in Dallas is NOT the "Virginia Hospital." Mistakes like that make you look foolish. Really, is that the best programming you can come up with? Your voice guidance is incapable of recognizing context and common usage? Or how about the Famous name "Tennyson," like in the poet? Your guidance pronounces it "ten-eye'-son." Sheesh!

  3. Have voice speak "Heavy" or "Moderate" or "Standstill" traffic ahead.

    Need to have verbal notification of heavy, moderate and standstill traffic ahead. Not safe to look down at phone to see traffic ahead

    Hey,   

    Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year. We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted. Thanks!

  4. When I use the voice commands it keeps saying the town and then "island"!

    See the title. The voice commands are great but why does it say the name of the town and then "island" and ask if that is correct?

  8. Request to Improve Malay‑Road‑Name Pronunciation in English Voice Guidance

    Dear Waze Team,

    I would like to suggest an improvement to Waze’s voice navigation for users in Malaysia:
    Currently, many Malaysian road names (e.g., “Jalan Tun Razak”, “Lingkaran Syed Putra”, “LEKAS”) are often mispronounced when using the English‑language voice, even though the spelling is correct. This can be confusing when driving because the spoken name does not match the local way people say it.
    I would like to request that Waze:
    1. Improve the English‑voice TTS engine to better handle common Malay‑language road‑name patterns (Jalan, Lebuhraya, Persiaran, etc.), so they sound closer to how Malaysians actually say them.

  11. Add Voice Typing to the main screen. Google Assistant just does not work for searching, VT is much more better.

    Add Waze's Voice Typing to the main screen for searching locations. Google Assistant just does not work for non-english city names. Sometimes you cannot even translate them. Voice Typing is much more better.

  15. When can we add flemish voices again?

    I remember that waze had besides the Dutch voices also flemish voices to help you navigate. For some reason they have been removed.

    A huge group of flemish people in Belgium would appreciate the return of a flemish voice. (the same or another)

  17. Add reporting by voice , and place speed in smaller box middle of screen, make top navigation arrows box smaller
