1. speedometer alert

   I would love the speedometer sound alert to have an option for keeping the sound on until you drop back down to the speed limit. No it chimes very softly once when you ecceed the limit and then nothing. There should be sound options and volume options too. With all the other alerts i often miss the small chime telling me im going to fast. Then theres no way to know when im back at the limit unless i keep looking at the little speedometer on the screen. The more i can do without taking my eyes off the road the better! Help!

   Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already displays a speedometer, including both your driving speed and the speed limit for the road you’re currently on.

2. Bicycle navigation and bike routes for waze!!! Please!!

   Can you please add bicycle routes to the app and ways to avoid roads that go over a certain speed limit? The option to set your vehicle as a bicycle and find routes like that avoid high speed roads and roads that dont allow bikes conbined with all of the other great functions of the app will be fantastic...

   But since you don't have the feature so many bicyclists won't get to navigate with your app and get the same benefits that car drivers have... I really need a navigator for bikers that shows the speed limits of the roads and if they have biking lanes before you make the trip to plan your navigation.

   You should have the setting to make your vehile a bike and find bike routes, and to calculate how much time a trip will take you just have to ask the bicyclist to input their average biking speed and make your route estimates like that. Then through tracking their speed when you give them navigates your estimates can become even more accurate.

   It shouldn't just be for driving navigation but also for people who have to bike places and still need to find the fastest routes avoiding cops and traffic and all the other benefits that drivers have and bikers don't because the app can't calculate routes for us unless you please make an update taking my suggestions!!

3. Distance / speed based voice guidance directions

   It used to be you can select how far from a turn or direction for guidance could be selected. You removed this quite some time ago. There used to be three or so options to choose from.

   I believe the distance options were 1400/1200 feet.; 750 feet; & 200 feet or something like this. This would be good because sometimes it takes to long to get the direction or it tells me too late or too far away.

   Or maybe make it speed dependent. That way if I slow down it's because I'm close and looking or if I'm going fast I'm likely on highway not needed it so readily. Thanks.

4. ask to verify police traps from both sides of the highways.

   ask to verify the police traps on both sides of the highways cause here in NY most cops set them self up to catch both sides at once. (Middle of the highways) so while I report a cop on my side. He looks the other side as well.

   Reporting police at the other side of the road is available.

5. SpeedCameras (max speed, time to flash on SpeedCamera, SpeedCamera notify without destination)

   Max Speed on the SpeedCamera:
   - Where you show the Max Speed we need to go, maybe you can show we can go higher than the max speed as there is no speed camera.

   Time to Flash on Speed Camera:
   - It shows close to accurate of how far the speedcamera can see you, maybe an outline of a red circle if your in that small circle don’t pass your max speed.
   - Maybe show lets say the road is max 20 you can go max 22 or 23 and you won’t be flashed.
   - when there is a speedcamera Waze has this countdown on 0.1mile where we click to close the notification, maybe show when we can be flashed and to slow down there, and ofcourse to speed up.

   SpeedCamera without a destination:
   - We really need this, when you don’t have an destination, waze is more or less useless, the speedcamera notification with sound and notification with picture needs to still work and show on the map.
   - it should notify us without having to set a destination.

   Max Speed Sound “beep”
   - We should be able to set if we want 1 beep or 2, got 2 but its annoying I want 1.

   Beeps:
   We should be able to set any notification beeps to how many beeps we want.

   Max Speed on the SpeedCamera:

6. Quit Calling my Camera Enforced School Zone a "SPEED TRAP"

   Now Waze calls my Camera Enforced School Zone a "SPEED TRAP". If this is not changed immediately I will take Legal Action against WAZE. I am the Chief of Police in Fairmount, GA our Cameras are for a School Zone active only while children are on campus. We don't want the Negativity by you calling it a Speed Trap.

8. Limit traffic alerts to same country/smaller area

   There's no point in showing alerts from 2000+ km away. Most people are only interested in alerts in their immediate area.

   On Android, iPhone and next versions of Symbian and WM, you can set a radius for alerts. Go to general settings.

9. Waze has turned my little side street into a FUCKING FREEWAY. How do I get it to stop?

   Do not direct traffic down residential side streets. They are ruining quiet communities.

10. When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”

    When showing „Routes”, to be able to select „best average-speed route”, because many drivers prefer a longer but a more pleasant drive to a shorter but full of stops and traffic jams one. Driving faster is part of the pleasure of driving.
    Especially in very busy areas, this option would be more than welcomed.
    Driving is a pleasure per se, but not if you just stay in line, stuck in traffic jams.

    It is difficult to select the button because to the up and down motion of the car when using Android Auto. Making the "still there" and "not there" side by side would make it easier to select and less likely to accidentally cancel a report.

12. Audio alerts for speed and red light cameras

    My audio alerts for speed and red light cameras stopped working a few months ago. I'm running waze directly on my phone (Google pixel 7) with the latest version of Android OS and waze app installed. My settings for alerts are correct. I see the flashing camera on the map and text alert on the screen but audio alerts are not working. I live in NYC where cameras are on every other block. Constantly monitoring the phone screen for visual alerts while driving is annoying and dangerous. I see lots of similar posts with replies from waze that the issue was fixed but sadly it's not or at least not for everyone. Please address it. Thank you for your help.

14. Add client side Reports to live map & ability to edit from pin on live map

    Currently when a user submits a report it's not visible on client side live map.

    Add display of a pin 📍 designating 'Active Reports' upon creation to client side of route on live map, and allow edits to Active Reports on live map 'pin' press expansion.

16. Protest the removal of the police warning feature!

    The Sheriff's association is using the tired old excuse that the police warning feature in the Waze app "could be used by terrorists." That is a RIDICULOUS excuse! The truth is that they just don't want us having the ability to warn others about their friggin' speed traps, and they don't want us avoiding tickets! Terrorists my shiny white butt! They use all of their technology against us, and then when we have something to use against them they just don't like it. This feature in Waze is just the next step above radar detectors. Well we got those and they couldn't stop them, so they shouldn't be able to stop this feature. PROTEST THE REMOVAL OF THE POLICE WARNING FEATURE. We have the right to know where our public servants are, especially if they're out there setting up speed traps everywhere trying to rob us of our money! First they deliberately set speed limits on various streets to ridiculously low levels, then they direct the cops to set up speed traps knowing that people are going faster than the stupid limit they imposed. It's all a friggin' lie, a swindle specifically designed to rob us. Well I for one say screw that. TELL GOOGLE: I WANT MY POLICE FEATURE. Do it now, because they already agreed to meet with the Sheriff's Association!

18. Maximum Permitted Speed or MPS

    An important factor during a car trip is the "Maximum Permitted Speed or MPS".
    During a car trip, the MPS changes constantly:
    1) from 70 to 50, then to 90, suddenly to 30, then again to 70, 30, 70, 100, 90, 120, etc.
    2) The MPS aren't always the same type of traffic signs.
    I've noticed that I sometimes miss a traffic sign, and WAZE alerts me, for example, with an audible signal (thanks for that!).
    My gaze automatically shifts to my smartphone, which actually distracts me from what's happening or could happen on the road!
    That's why I'd like to venture a suggestion for what I consider a minor change to the "Navigation Screen" of the trip.
    With the aim of:
    "Significantly increasing road user safety!!"
    Proposal:
    At the bottom left of the navigation screen:
    1) the MPS will be displayed in a small "red/white circular" traffic sign;
    2) and just below that, the "Current Speed (CS)" in a larger "black circle."
    ======>>>> My proposal is to reverse the size of the circles for both indicators.
    In other words, the MPS circle, the most important indicator,
    will be larger and more readable than the CS circle.
    Especially in the dark!
    Moreover, the CS is less important; we also read it on the car's dashboard.
    The CS is normally lower than the MPS, otherwise WAZE will display a large MPS warning pop-up and/or an audible signal.

19. Premium user / tipping users for correctly placed speed traps

    It would be nice to give some incentive to users to actually use correctly this app.

    What do i mean by that?

    1. The first and most dangerous obviously it is a speed trap. I would give immediately my half of speeding ticket to users that saved me from that.
    2. More users would be drawn to the Waze and we could have more information, because there is a reward for being useful
    3. We could have hotspots, that means, zones where is frequently reported some police activity, even if it isn't reported today, beware it might be something.

    I would happily pay monthly subscription for better service, after all you have to pay fines and lose your licence, what is some monthly fee for better info?

20. Speed / red light camera alerts announced too early on local steeets

    Speed / red light camera alerts are announced too early on local steeets currently.
    Most of the time, the alert is announced over 750m away. And on local streets, it is very likely that there there would be multiple other intersections before reaching it. So by the time the actual camera location is reached, the alert is already forgotten.
    Please make it so that the camera alerts are announced closer to the actual camera while on city streets (around 200 - 250m). Or add a second alert when "approaching speed / red light camera", in addition to the current one so that it's not forgotten.
    Ideally, Waze would be smart enough to use the speed of the car to calculate the best time to announce the alert so that there would be just the right amount of time for the driver to take action.
