re-route based on upcoming traffic conditions / congestions
While waze does show upcoming traffic condition on one's route it does not provide facility to automatically re-route the traveler around traffic congestion using surface streets or alternate highway/freeway.
This is essential to optimizing waypoint ordering/priority:
This ought be available in other-than a binary toggle (yes or no). While yes and no are suitable broad options, waze ought provider finer grained control of re-routing as it does now (faster or shorter). These should include
(1) time windows
(2) zones / areas
(3) specific roads / highways / freeways
(4) density of other Wazers
(5) using either /…

Waze is too heavy on system resources, try to enhance memory usage
Waze got very heavy on system resources lately. Crashing extremely often. We had 3 relatively modern Android (>=4.4.2) phones on board and only on 1 waze could calculate route before it crashed. On this one phone that could at least calculate route Waze crashed when any warning on map was pressed or when you checked what is ahead of you (when more parts of map were loaded at once). Waze also froze my phone very often even when it was just navigating (nothing was pressed on screen when phone froze). It all looked like OOM and extreme overhead problems.…

Use Google Home to provide departure alerts for scheduled events
I would like to be able to use Google Home to set a scheduled departure time and location, and have it notify me with a audio notification (via Google Home) when it's time to leave. This would allow me to freely move about my home without having to check my phone.

Using of G-Sensor
If Waze will collect data from G Sensor, than it can automatically detect holes on the road, crashes and bad roads (4×4). Program may ask user what kind of hole it is - is it mistake, real hole, etc. If sensor detects constant shakes, than Waze can mark road as bad.

Add a GPS-based reminder
Every phone today offers some kind of a time-based reminder. There are a lot of situations which makes us the need of a reminder by crossing a geographic point, rather than time limit.

When you exceed speed limit and there is radar in front of you, there should be more warning.
Warning should be like "camera or police reported ahead, your speed is above limits.

Announce verbally route and delay changes
At the moment if the route changes then Waze makes a chirp sound. I would like it to actually say "Route Change" or perhaps "Route recalculated due to change in traffic conditions" and then "Arrival time is now 7.34 pm". Or "Traffic delay has increased/decreased by 5 minutes". These announcements should be capable of being enabled/disabled in settings to allow for different user preferences. Personally I don't like reading messages on the phone screen while I'm driving - I would rather messages be read out verbally so I don't have to look at the screen as much - safer!

Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Transfer ride to fellow driver
As multiple drivers in one vehicle take turns, we would like to transfer the ride to the other's phone, and continue the navigation.
This is not the same as sharing the ride details, because then others can only follow the ride.

To add an option to turn off the GPS functionality when not using Waze to help save battery life.
To help save on battery on battery life, it would help if there was an easy option to turn off the GPS functionality when not using Waze. The GPS function could come back on once the Waze app is re-opened. I have noticed my phone battery is going down much more quickly since installing the Waze app. I understand that's an issue when using it, but it would be nice not to have to worry about it when I am not using the Waze app at a particular time.

SPLIT: wake my phone/wake Maps from sleeping" when I am getting close to my destination
very often, I know the general way to my destination like 80% but I need Waze to guide me on the 20% remaining steps. If I set Waze to my destination, put my phone in the mount as I start, then start riding, it will drain the battery for nothing because I already know most of the way. If I put my phone to sleep, I ride, then I have to stop when I am getting close to my destination, take off my gloves, take the phone out, activate it, put it back, put gloves back, then drive. Its a…

Line guidance / colour of the arrows
Hello,
Would it be possible to change the colors of the arrows? In red the routes that should not be taken, in green those that should be taken?
On my phone, the lanes to take appear in dark white and those not to be taken in light gray.
When you need this functionality, it's usually in an unfamiliar place and you have to concentrate more on the road.
A quick glance cannot differentiate white from gray.Thank you

Add charger speeds as a search option for EV Charging
As an EV driver I want to search for an EV charging station! When traveling I want to locate a FAST charger. This means it needs to be at least 50kW and ideally over 100kW.
If Waze can add this it’s a game changer and we don’t have to search desperately with our EV charging apps on our phone then come back to Waze to enter the address.16 votes -
Have client present auto-off if removed from charging
I sometimes make frequent stops during a trip, and it is an annoyance to have to start and stop the client so that it doesn't give false heavy traffic reports. If I am in the car, I always have the phone on a charger. if the client senses that the phone is no longer charging, have a pop-up box ask if the application should be turned off.

Really great app! Thank you guys for doing such good job!
But nevertheless there are some features that could be done better:
1. App freezes sometimes after start then there is no connection with GSM network.
2. Then there are numerous alerts on the same spot, only nearest is announced. E.g. among "police", "accident on the road" and "vehicle on the shoulder" happend in the same area, only "vehicle on the shoulder" will be announced, meanwhile "police" is more important, because it is also used for mobile radars. It would be great, if "police" alert had priority over others alerts.
3. Mobile radars or LIDARs. Then I see one on the…1 voteThanks for reaching out. fewer touches to get navigation started
it seems to take a lot of clicks (er, touches) to get navigation started.
1) Enter (or speak) address
2) Choose from list of addresses (even if there's only one address)
3) Touch GO
4) Touch GO (again, can be skipped)tough to do if the car is already in motion. Or so I hear. I would never be mucking with my phone or tablet while in motion.
