Display unique symbols for hazards reported on the road
At the moment, you have to click on the Hazard symbol to actually know what the hazard is. And as people alway report vehicles stopped on the hard shoulder as being a hazard, its hard to know what action to take when driving unless you know what the hazard ahead is. It is also dangerous to have to click on the small hazard symbol whilst driving. So why not have different symbols for different hazards? Add full support on HUD displays on cars
When using Waze in my Car via Android Auto, it shows show semi support on the HUD display.
For example, when turning left on roundabout, the arrow and symbol shows straight instead of circle with left arrow surrounding it.
Another support is missing - When driving on road with several lanes and need to stay on right lane or left lane, no lanes appear on HUD, only straight arrow.
Google Maps and Sygic work great with HUD display so it's clearly an issue with Waze.
Please fix.

Secure routes
People should feedback the security of route (too dark, too dangerous, too lonely in a 1-5 scale for example). this way, user can choose route by distance, ETA or security.
Some times I just drive through routes I didn't wanna to if I knew.

Try out different voices
It would be awesome, if you could listen to the different voices before choosing one. I can only listen to the voice I chose when I am driving and that’s just not practical I think.

Follow my drive web map should show alerts too
During Follow my Drive, your alerts and comments should be broadcasted too. Many times you're driving ahead of a group, and they want to know how the road conditions are. If your alerts appeared on the FMD web, they could see what you're reporting.
Maybe simply use the real time waze map instead of a blank map, so you can see alerts. Don't forget to include the feature for world.waze.com too and not just for the regular US waze.

Make STILL THERE? larger
Please make the “Still there” and “Not there” voices larger and separate them. I often miss what I am going for because of a bump on the road or just because they are right next to each other. Separating them to something similar to when I receive a phone call and have the option to accept or decline would be very nice. Having large green and red buttons to say if a report is still there would result in less focus away from driving and less errors when selecting.

Going home options
When the app first starts, it always ask if I'm going home. Many times I am, but I say no, only because I do NOT want turn-by-turn instructions for a route I know by heart and drive every day. The app should have the option to only show ETA and maybe suggest a new route for the traffic on my normal route home.

speed warning PERMANENTLY
I would like to see the OPTION to enable the acoustic warning chime PERMANENTLY as long as you drive faster than the speed limit.
Currently this warning chime will only appear once, but in my case for me it would be safer and easier to follow the speed limits when this sound would appear as long as you drive too fast. In this case the warning sound would work like the overspeed warning in airplanes, which definitely makes sense.
And because some people could not like this, it should be an aditional option in the settings.Please concider this, as…

PLEASE make my position on the map “centered” on my iPad screen in landscape mode!
While using the app in landscape mode my position on the map is always on the bottom right of the screen and not in the bottom “center” of the screen. I really love this app and all of its features, but I just can’t learn to live with it this way! It’s driving me insane to the point that I don’t even want to use the app at all and have been searching for other nav apps. I really want to use Waze but I just can’t stand the position being off centered the way it is. I just can’t…

Add "time to park" in calendar synch.
I have several meetings to drive to every day. Some take 15-20 minutes to park and get to the meetings. I would love a field to add that parking time, to better calculate the "time to go" function. I could use a fake time in my calendar, but with multiple meetings in a day one others relying on my calendar, that doesn't work well.

Plugins!
Instead of competing against other products and services, why not allow them to be PART OF (feed info into) Waze? Plugins, if you will.

Escort Live is a social driving program for people who use Passport Radars. Wouldn't it make more sense for everyone ("them" because they'd be able to enjoy Waze and its massive user database, and "us" because we'd get the real-time radar info?) if Escort Live was available inside Waze?
Waze is great because it's so clean, so I understand not wanting to have other data services "clutter up" the experience, so perhaps…

more screenspace ahead of the car in 2D mode
while driving in fixed North=up mode and in landscape the client could position the car/current location icon so that there would be more screenspace (and thus more useful information) ahead and less space (and thus much less useful information) behind the car

Carbon CO2 footprint
in order to reduce the carbon CO2 footprint it would be nice if you could calculate estimated time not only based on the speed limits and current traffic-load. I.e. set the max speed to 90 km/h will reduce the carbon footprint with almost 30 % on longer trips, you could have this as an individual choice. As example I hade average 4,5 liter per 100 Km on a 330 km drive instead of 6,8 when drive within speed limit 110/120 km/h it take 30 minutes longer but it´s much calmer and less stress.

Fix sunset dark/night mode toggling multiple times per day
When driving before sunset, Waze switches from its day to night mode a little bit before sunset...then it switches back to day...then to night...then to day... On my drive tonight (headed west on I-20 toward Shreveport, LA), it toggled back & forth 15-20 times before finally settling in on night mode.
I recommend adding some hysteresis into the switching that matches/compliments how you calculate the sunset proximity. Once Waze switches to its night display in the evening or it switches to the day display in the morning, it shouldn't switch back (you know, as long as you're on the same…

Option to close waze without confirming or double tapping screen
I use waze on every drive, due to this my phone is always logged in when driving (use a pin to access). While sitting in traffic one evening 2 robbers forced my window down, unlocked my car, opened the door and grabbed my phone. I would appreciate if an option could be added to close waze without confirming or by double tapping the screen in order for a phone to lock itself asap so that it can't be used or accessed. Report menu redesign
Nowadays reporting menu is not fluent enough to use while driving, especially when reporting hazards, due to heavy use of text in the menus Latest update even made the font smaller...
I feel that hazard report menu should contain icons in the same matter the main menu uses them. Meaning: car, animal and anything else should have an icon describing. Thus, making the reporting duty during driving a hell of a lot easier. Same goes with the lane choice for the report (you can barely see those tiny arrows there).6 votes -

A way th control texting and driving at same time.
We were using Waze for first time today, I was driving and wife was on phone. She was unable to type anything in since car was moving and suggested we stop to input info. This technology should be marketed to the phone companies, which would block people texting and driving at same time. It could save many lives and countless injuries if adapted to all phones.
