1. go back to previous route planner as today the version is proposing strange routes and for sure not the best anymore

   since 3 or 4 updates , the efficiency is going down !!!!

   routes proposed not anymore efficient : strange proposals => software lost in efficiency not proposing the best route and consistent alternatives or not proposing appropriate deviations saving really time

   sory but I will stop using it as now google maps is becoming very effective !!!

2. Collaborative Routing

   Waze works like the most other Navigation Apps. You can choose between 1 and 3 different fixed routes, that sometimes slightly change when there is a lot of traffic ahead. The problem is, that Waze works like a broadcast as far as I know.

   So when Route 1 have heavy traffic, all other users get Route 2 to avoid traffic. The problem here is, that new heavy traffic will be created to avoid the first.

   All cars following the same alternative route.

   Instead of rely on fixed routes, each user should get a personal routing suggestion l, each Route little different.

   Combined with a reroute request every 30s to check the current traffic we could avoid a lot of traffic that is already there and more importantly, stop to create new jams.

   For people that drive in a convoy, there should be a option to sync the routes, so they have the same.

   What you guys think?

3. Feature Request: Co-Drive Functionality

   Every year, I go on vacation with my family and friends, and we always rely on the Waze app, which has been incredibly helpful for all of us.

   I’d like to suggest a new feature that could enhance the experience for groups traveling in multiple cars: a Co-Drive functionality. The idea is to allow users who are part of the same travel group to see each other’s locations on the map during the trip. This would be especially useful if one vehicle makes an unplanned stop—at a gas station or store, for example—so the rest of the group can stay aware and avoid getting separated.

   I believe this feature would benefit many users who often travel in convoys or with multiple cars heading to the same destination.

   If you need any additional information or examples of how this could work, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’d be happy to help.

4. Stop the app from opening itself, its becoming sentient

   Waze keeps opening itself and draining my battery by running in the background
   This also happens while I sleep.

5. gas stations / resting places

   Hi Wazers,
   just came back from holidays by car, driving around 2500km. The navigation works perfect with Waze, BUT it was reaaaally difficult to find the right gas stations and/or resting places along the route.
   For example, we were driving from Karlsruhe (Germany) to Budapest (Hugnary) with two children and it would have been extremely helpful to know and see Esso gas stations along the road for the following 1000km (having an Esso-Card) and all the resting places and what they serve (Mc Donald's etc.). This way it would have been great to plan the trip and to know when and where we can have our next stop!
   I don't think that anyone of all the GPS-navigations offers this simple and easy feature and I just don't know why?!?!?!?!?!?!

6. Favorite Hazards

   I think there should be a "favorites" or "frequently used" option when it comes to notifying others of a hazard. Users could store their own. I know my most frequently used one is "Hazard. On shoulder. Vehicle stopped." You have to click through so many things... but if there was a favorite option stored, you could do it in one click.

7. Registration plate recognition and automatic tagging of police vehicles

   Due to the proliferation of unmarked police cars and unmarked mobile speed cameras (parked cars) with no warning signs, it is now necessary to take it one step further and use the video feed from dash cams (both front and rear) and character recognition to automatically tag a police vehicle by its registration plate (after that registration plate has been manually tagged). If a user is travelling with that vehicle, the vehicle's location would be updated live. Once that user breaks away from the police vehicle, the location would then be picked up and updated live by other Waze users who have detected the tagged registration plate.

   To manually tag a registration plate, the user would report a police vehicle as normal, but the next screen might list all the current registration plates in view and the user would simply click a button next to the appropriate pre-filled selection. It might even be possible to take a snapshot of the front/rear dashcam views when the "report" button was selected so that the user can manually fill out the registration plate later on, when it is safe to do so (i.e when stopped).

   The system could work on "votes" where as long as the number of "thumbs up" votes exceed the "thumbs down" votes, the registration plate is linked as being a police vehicle. This would also ensure that the police themselves couldn't un-tag their registration plates.

   It may also increase the accuracy of tagging. If a tagged plate is no longer where it was last seen (perhaps after a set period of time, or if the plate is seen elsewhere), it will automatically be removed from that location and would reappear when the next user's Waze picks up the plate's new location.

   I believe this could potentially help save lives, not only because it will make drivers more aware of police vehicles and drive more carefully, but also because they will be less likely to be taken by surprise as their dashcam will be able to automatically recognise a parked vehicle as being an unmarked police car or mobile speed camera. Drivers are sometimes prone to behaving erratically when they suddenly realise a parked car is a mobile speed camera, whether they are speeding or not, and will slam on their brakes and/or drive well under the speed limit. Hopefully this feature will reduce the likelihood of this happening.

8. Voice Activation

   Can be used to confim/add road hazards and traffic situations. Example: hey siri, car stopped on shoulder or hey siri, confirm road stopped and it will add it. A app called Yazio does something similar where you can add 12 oz of water to your daily intake (calorie counter app)

9. Advertise the Waze app on billboards in high traffic areas

   I think if Waze advertised the App in particularly high traffic areas, Waze could ultimately get tons of new users and the ability to ease traffic. For example, I live in Williamsburg, Virginia and travel I-64 daily to get to work in Hampton. It's about 33 miles one way. Currently, I-64 is under construction to widen it. During the summer time frame, there are approximately, 20,000 more drivers on this busy section a day that are headed to Virginia Beach and/or the Outer Banks of North Carolina for vacation. You can imagine what happens in the stop and go traffic in that construction area should some one rear end another vehicle....a headache of a commute home!! I would advertise the Waze app on the billboards at the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and I -64 West. This in turn would help ease traffic, gain a ton of new Wazers (the majority not from this area) and help Waze expand with more users. Thanks for your consideration!

10. disable pop-ups

    Please give us a way to disable the pop-ups. I don’t care that there’s a car stopped on the side of the road in 4/10 of a mile. I can’t see what’s happening in 4/10 of a mile but I just missed my exit because the pop-up covered the details that I need to know now.

11. REINSTATING THE PREVIOUSLY USED ADDRESSES FUNCTION WHILE DRIVING

    Prior to driving to a new area or a new destination I will drop in addresses/locations into Waze and use them as waypoints as I am traveling. Also, when I am in a new area and I have previously found businesses, etc. that I frequent I would like to be able to have access to those address locations while I am driving like before. Now with the new voice only look up of a business while driving I no longer have access to said previously located addresses or waypoints while driving. I cannot begin to tell you how frustrating this is. Basically, without the ability to look up previous addresses/locations while driving or even at a stop light one has to have all of these addresses committed to memory or write them down elsewhere which defeats the efficiency of using Waze in the first place. PLEASE RETURN THE ABILITY TO ACCESS PREVIOUSLY FOUND ADDRESSES WHILE DRIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

13. Add forward, back buttons on pop ups

    I would love to see a forward and back button on the pop up notifications. Many times I'll glance down and slightly catch what the pop up said, but It's gone and I'm unable to go back through it. Then when I stop again I see the same ones over. It would be nice to scroll through because not all are important to the driver.

14. Route with less traffic even if it takes longer

    I hate stop and go traffic. I don't mind a longer travel if it means avoiding stop and go traffic.

    Please add option to take alternate route that avoids heavy traffic even if it takes like 10 minutes longer. User should be able to set how much longer.

15. pink navigation line instead of blue and green

    please fix the colors of navigation its terrible and confusing for many

    Especially when a STOP is added to the route, the navigation line is Green or blue!!

16. Weathersfield Township Ohio police Warning

    Weathersfield Township in Ohio is standing on overpasses over I80 in Ohio with speed cameras. They then send Safety Violation tickets in the mail. It is illegal for a township to issue tickets on an interstate Ohio. The state is write new law to stop them. WHY IS THE WHOLE SECTION OF ROAD THROUGH THE TOWN NOT HIGHLIGHTED ON THE APP WITH A WARNING. THE APP SAY NOTHING THROUGH THERE. PLEASE FIX AND GIVE A WARNING.

17. Stop sending warning about available Waze updates, esp. on a Holiday

    EVERY time I update Waze I have a subsequent problem. Today, the Memorial holiday in the USA, I get a notification of a Waze update available. I am aware of this update since February 9th.
    1. EVERY time I update Waze I have problems. My current problem that has existed since I last updated is that when I click on the notice at the top of my Galaxy S4 for 'its time to start driving' the destination information disappears.
    2. I have reviewed the information on the Waze update still to download and I DO NOT NEED a voice recorder to record directions. I do not need another one of your useless additions to screw up my phone any more! This is a useless feature. AND
    3. I have every setting I can find in Waze for you to NOT send me useless notifications such as this one. And yet you bother people on a HOLIDAY for your useless advertising of a useless update. Show some respect and do not push your unnecessary notifications on a holiday!

18. Stop search results from auto-updating too quickly while driving

    Whenever I'm driving, using Android Auto and search for gas stations under the categories option, I'm really only able to view the first and second results. There are more results that are presented that I can scroll down to. However, after about a second or less, the results update and scroll back up to the top of the list. This only started happening in the last year or so. It used to work where you could scroll down through the results while in motion but this no longer works. Can you bring this back so that the search functionality is usable again!!!

19. Stop sending me alerts for San Jose. I’m in Arkansas. I travel and I have not experienced this problem in the past.

20. Stop Waze from sending trucks in front of my house.

    Oregon Trail in Pittsburgh is posted against trucks for "local deliveries only". Oregon Trail intersects with a trucking route which is Connor Road, part of the Yellow Belt. Waze is directing trucks onto Oregon Trail causing noise disturbances, traffic blockages and is de-valuating my property. Please fix this ASAP. Pete
