Improve "forgot username or password" process
I upgraded to a new phone. Forgot my username & password but the entire existing process is circular. Put in my phone number (didn't receive a text w/in 24 hours). Put in my email address (didn't receive an email w/in 24 hours). I charged & started my old phone to get my username. Once I retrieved it and put it into the new phone I received a verification code via text. I used that code and then added my full name - and I was given a new user name which I did not choose. E-mail alerts for road closures
I'd like to have e-mail alerts for long-term road closures due to construction, flooding, etc. Those of us in trucking and other nationwide transportation industries could be kept aware without having to scan the entire national map.

Needs to show and CALL OUT stop signs and traffic lights as needed for turns.
In addition to showing stop signs and lights, call them out as needed for turns (instead of the distance). Apple Maps actually does a good job with this, a good example to follow.

Police avoidance
Like when a jam ahead is getting worse, Waze should tell you “police reported ahead. Do you want to divert? (2 more minutes)”. This should be toggleable in the settings just like speed alert is

Spotify
Spotify button disappears when any alert comes up to the top screen. In many times, we cannot access the Spotify button, cause there are lots os sequential alerts that do not allow the button to be showed.
In my work-home-work route, there are speed sensors each 400-500m and one alert appears over the last one.

Different preferences while navigating
There are several settings that I want to change according to whether or not I am navigating to a destination. Please give up options like "on when navigating, off when not navigating" in addition to the existing "on"/"off" options.
For example, I should be able to make the following settings:
North Up when not navigating; actual or desired travel direction up when
navigating;2D view when not navigating; 3D view when navigating;
Auto zoom off when not navigation; Auto zoom by distance when navigating.

Safety Waze
Ability to provide personal safety help/alert for walkers, cyclists, mountain bikers, hikers, skiers, boaters, drivers, etc. Set up Waze to track your route/activities and to alert those designated, including rescue personnel, if it does not receive the proper responses from you within the proper time.

Electrical Map in Puerto Rico will attract millions users
Adding and Electrical Map, will give Waze a millions of users!
Since Hurricane Maria, hundreds of roads and bridges where destroyed, signs that does not exist anymore, and roads with a mile of holes. Lately it is so dificult to drive on some roads. Specially those without electricuty jet, 7 month later of hurricane Maria.
Letting people tag place without electricity, not only give the driver the alert, but will atract a thousand, even million ppl in the island, to repport their house or street.

When a warning appears, show a shrinking progress bar (regress bar, closing-in bar?)
When a warning appears (hazard, police, vehicle on shoulder, traffic), show a shrinking progress bar (regress bar, closing in bar?), perhaps with distance number also. The current tiny numbers are hard to read, require too much attention, and give no feel for the approach rate. Waze assumes perfect close and medium vision too often. If there are several: unclear, but I suppose focus on nearest.

favourite gas station price list (either highlighted on map or make a separate tab with list of them)
I live in big city /distance between work and home is 10+ km/. that means I dont see all gas stations around me (waze shows only 3km around your actual position). I would prefer to have a list or possibility to browse on map gas stations I am interested in. Or make them favourable and show them always on map .. so I can easily check where is the lowest price. without setting to navigate me home and going to the option to see any nearby gas stations on may way to/from work.

horizontal position - one line
In horizontal position, distance traveled, arrival time and arrival time should be in one line. Now it is in two lines, and in the latter they are typed in a tiny font, unreadable to the driver.

Adding pass Jawaz for Morocco and alert users
Here in morocco we use pass “Jawaz” to pay high way, a pass must have credit on
A suggestion is :
-adding pass Jawaz
- notify people with account that have pass “Jawaz” when they plan trajectory using high way to verify first if they have credit on their pass

Enable the ‘Reports Ahead’ window to update continuously to show the km/miles to the hazard.
Currently, if you go into the ‘reports ahead’ section it will show you the km to the hazard, but if you leave this window open it doesn’t update the km, you have to exit and go back in again to refresh the distance. Can you please provide auto update of distance on this screen. Thank you.

High Accident Area Allert
When about to enter an intersection where there have been many fatalities/accidents Waze could alert you to use extra caution. Today, my son and I saw an accident that is an area I went through and I remember thinking..."Oh my goodness, what in the world!?!" It was a strange intersection. I think drivers can be warned either by a voice warning to use extra caution or by a color that shows that area to be susceptible to accidents. His truck was upside down and the top crushed in. Waze to take electric car battery status into account
I love using Waze, but ever since I have an electric car I need to switch to the car's own navigation system (which is not so good and efficient as Waze). Reason for doing is the fact that the car navigation takes the car battery status into account and calculates a stop-point to recharge the battery. Waze doesn't do this. Meaning, when I would use Waze I would need to use a second app or platform to check where probably I can or need to re-charge the battery. This is not so convenient. Lock the route
Once WAZE sets the initial route, let me press a button to lock the directions so they don't change while I'm en route. Often if I'm driving on a freeway (in LA) I will get random instructions to "make a U-turn (on the 405?)" or to turn on some surface street. I assume its because the app is re-calculating as I go or doesn't recognize that I did take the correct off-ramp, but these unnecessary commands are distracting and its hard to tell which are valid and which are not. Optimize route for ease of driving , safety
At present there is no account of how difficult a route is ie windy , how many intersections or how dangerous ie windy or heavy traffic.
The routes options do display shortest time and shortest distance.

Display in horizontal
When using in horizontal with an iPhone (both 11 and 14) the top black spot in the phone used for the frontal camera is not allowing to see the distance meters until the exit or lane change whatever

Always choose WME items over Google Map items
A place (area or point or residential) or House number entered into Waze Map Editor should ALWYS be chosen over a Google Maps import in Waze’s Search.
This is very frustrating to users since they are often routed to the wrong location. It is also very frustrating to editors since their work to update the map is ignored.
