Your search - I drive for Uber & Lyft. I love & use waze all the time. However, I can't seem to turn off the voice while using waze. I would rather read the directions then be told multiple times on where to turn. How do I turn the voice off? - did not match any answers in Waze Help.

Pause playback during audio alerts (for audiobooks)
Currently the Waze sounds turn the volume of whatever is playing the background down, causing me to miss words of audiobooks. Add an option for "Audiobook mode" to pause playback during Waze alerts/navigation voice.

Ok Waze
Bring back the ‘OK Waze’ voice search.
This was an extremely useful feature to enter a new destination whilst driving. Unsure why it was discontinued. Now you have to touch your device to enter a destination.

Display complete voice command list in app
The complete list of recognised words and commands needs to be displayed in the app. This should be available from the settings menu, and maybe as an option following the "I didn't understand that" response.
There is a list at https://support.google.com/waze/answer/9332876?hl=en#zippy=%2Cwhat-you-can-ask-the-google-assistant-to-do-in-waze but it took me ages to find it on a laptop - I need it on my phone in my car.

Adding Voice Navigation Option: Torah Trope
I am an avid Waze user and Torah reader (בעל קריאה). I would love to add a navigation option using my knowledge of Torah trope. I think it would be a lot of fun :).

Voice navigation starts route straight away
When on a route I sometimes need to say 'take me to the nearest gas station' when I need to fill up and do not know the nearest but want to add a stop.
However it then prompts me to click on a particular option, which is illegal when driving. You should implement 'select XXX' feature or just start a diversion to the nearest so I don't have to pull over to touch the screen.
Even when saying 'Take me to BP insert town' it still has to do a search and you have to click - it won't…

Add average speed zone indication on screen to Android auto
In Android auto the average speed zone is announced by voice but there is no indication on screen like in the "normal" waze. So you don't know how long the zone is and if you respect the speed.
