1. Please fix the CarPlay issues,

   Please fix the CarPlay issues. Directional information covers the speed limit, move the speed limit to the top left? Speed camera notifications cover too much screen, make these transparent? Show the average speed camera distance like on the mobile version of the app. After turning a corner the map takes too long to realise you’ve turned meaning you scan easily miss your next turn if it’s close after.

2. Snow removal equipment

   I was in Maryland during the recent blizzard. I was able to make the return drive to Pittsburgh on Monday. The roads where clear, however road crews were doing snow removal on the shoulders, left and right. I found during my drive the crews were often on turns and had I had no warning to be able to change lanes for safe distance.

   That's when I thought of a SNOW PLOW notification. It would include a left or right choice and on road or shoulder choice. Moving or stationary would be a choice too, but might be a bit much for while driving.

   This feature would be great because people that live with snow can watch their route from a safe place, then start driving when they see a SNOW PLOW on their route.

3. Allow users to choose to display routes on their Phone instead forcing on the Android Auto

   Allow users to choose whether to use their phone as Waze for routes or Android Auto as the main display, instead of forcing it to display on Android Auto. Some people want to stream music using Android Auto and use their phones to see directions, as it doesn't distract them from the road. Some head units in cars are positioned lower from the direction of the road and are more of a hassle to look at while driving.

   Have directions read to you in local voices. Choose your town and the voice would feature someone from that area and use local vernacular and dialect for personalization and added fun. Start with @pardonmewithp in the Detroit area.

7. iPhone Vs Android. Detailed Directions on iPhone, missing on Andoid.

   When plugged in via USB an iPhone shows the map on car display and detailed instructions on the iPhone display. Android phone shows map on car display but a blue screen on the phone display, why? Show directions on Android instead of a stupid blue screen! This app is superior on iPhone for that reason. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Blows my mind this feature is not in Android. I want to know 4-5 streets in advanced where I'm going and the turns I need to make so I can get into the proper lane ahead of time.

8. Get a list of directions for a given route.

   Sometimes it's hard to evaluate a route choice from the descriptions. It would be great if a route could be listed in text (one line per step) so that the route options could be evaluated more easily.

9. Unblock phone sleeping when idle or parking - to preserve battery

   It happened to me several times and I find it very annoying.
   When I park the car waiting for someone out if I leave phone in the car when I reach my destination and I forget to turn it off, Waze will prevent the screen from turning off and will drain out my battery quickly.
   My suggestion is that I'd Waze detects that I'm parking or not driving for over a minute or so, it should automatically suspend the navigation activity and enable screen shutdown and sleep until user starts driving again.

10. Improve the Android Automotive version.

    I would like the Waze version for Android Automotive to be as good as the mobile version, in addition to adding some options that are necessary while driving.

    1-In the Android Automotive version, the radar alerts do not emit any sound, making it completely useless, as you won't be looking at the screen continuously while driving.

    Moreover, the other alerts only emit a notification sound, and when it sounds, you have to look at the screen to know what danger is approaching, diverting your attention from the road.

    All alerts should be like in the mobile version, with a voice announcing what danger is coming.

    2-It would be great to have all the options available in the mobile version, without needing to use the mobile phone to change some settings.

    3-It would be wonderful to see the map, directions, and alerts on the cockpit screen behind the steering wheel, and to have the directions and alerts displayed on the heads-up display.

    With these changes, Waze for Android Automotive would be something fantastic, just like it already is in the mobile version.

11. Indicator Panel with Arrows and Traffic Directions and Street Names

    Hi guys, I have a suggestion for you developers,
    Could you make as a Show and Hide Option the "Indicator Panel with Arrows and Traffic Directions and Street Names" which is black in color,
    And it's always there on the top left and it's huge and it covers a lot of the nav screen, top left, Could you make it like some sort of show and hide option.
    This Information-Indicative Panel is rarely used and is not suitable to be always present on the display especially during long distances.
    This black Information-Indicator panel is rarely used. If possible, please make the direction arrows AS TRANSPARENT ARROWS ON THE HIGHWAY CONTOURS for the current traffic, but let them also be optional.
    Could you also make the background, text and arrow color as selectable option to implement for users, May it be more successful and attractive Waze.

    I don't know why everyone wants this proposal to be introduced but no one has informed you yet.

13. Waze directions are given too late

    I have recently moved to Melbourne Australia. Every road, every intersection, every turn is new to me. I've been an avid Waze user for many years, but I cannot use it anymore. Every directional instruction is 1-3 seconds too late. I have never encountered this problem, because I only used the alert voice setting since I knew my daily drive and area very well.

    A few examples:
    1) When approaching an intersection while in the middle of a 5 lane road, the direction to turn right is only given once the lane turn-offs begin.
    2) When in a residential area where the speed limit is 60km/h, Waze only says "turn right" when the right-turn is 10m away. Yes, I do acknowledge that 300m before the right-turn it said "in 300 meters, turn right", but the problem is between the initial instruction and the right-turn, there may be another turn in between and it's hard to judge distance in a new environment - see point 3 below.
    3) See previous point for reference. I often find that after I have turned, Waze would say "in 200 meters", but 50 meters have passed already, so it's hard to judge what distance remains and thus it's hard to judge the actual remaining distance.

    While driving, my passenger had Google Maps open. Every instruction was in perfect timing. I don't like the look of the Google Maps interface very much, but when driving I don't have to look at the screen - I only have to listen to the instructions. For new users, this is the primary reason for using a GPS nav app.

    I loved Waze with the personalization options and clean UI. You were by my side for over a decade. Sorry Waze team for leaving. My intention for using a GPS navigation app is to get to my destination without missing turns. Unfortunately Waze is lagging behind Google Maps in this regard.

    If part of the Waze roadmap is to acquire new users, then this issue must deserve proper attention.

15. Prevent route popup when using android auto

    Route popup always appears on start up. This is not always wanted as it hogs up the screen and each journey does not require a defined destination.

    Adding an option to turn on/off on start up would be nice.

    Hey, does your programming dept. have school credentials from ECPI instead of MIT? What's the hold up with fixing the location handshake between Waze and Google Assistant? You DO realize that OS 13 is being released by the end of the year. Let me guess, you're hoping that will fix the problem so your incompetence will fade into history! I've been back and forth with CS for MONTHS and have not heard a peep about this problem!

    Why provide an update with better traffic reporting if, from the looks of my Waze, reporting has dropped by at least 50%? There aren't near the number of warnings as there used to be. Nobody wants to be distracted at 70 MPH to manually input a hazard a mile back!

    Perhaps social media can start leveraging your lack of users to get your advertisers to start bailing on your company just like your company has bailed on the users who USED TO find your app very useful!

    AND, NO, I WILL NOT SEND YOU MY DEBUG LOGS YET AGAIN!!! DO NOT ASK! THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T HELP YOUR PROGRAMMING. YOU CAN'T HAVE THIS AS A HIGH PRIORITY IF I'M RECEIVING UPDATES FOR STUPID VOICES AND ******** ICONS INSTEAD OF A PATCH TO FIX A CRITICAL OPERATIONS BUG!

18. Add Number to ab Street you choose from waze suggestions

    Wenn i put in the street, i get suggestions from the app for the full name. If i click on the suggestion the app starts to navigate to the street. But when i‘d like to add the house number i have to write the complete name and the number cause i can‘t add it before or go back and add a number

19. Establish a Waze instance on Mastodon

    With Twitter (X) becoming more and more unusable as a social media platform, some of us have migrated to other social media platforms to continue communicating about Waze. One such platform is Mastodon, which is part of a defederated network of social media servers that is gaining popularity, particularly among tech folks. If Waze could establish its own Mastodon server, then we could ensure that there is a dedicated space for us to spread the word about Waze, and it could be managed by the same folks that moderate the forums.     Waze should have a pre travel checklist. For example: When you start your commute to work, a notification to remember your laptop would pop up. The user could tailor this pop up reminder to their specific needs.
