1. Burn in Screen

   I am using Waze everyday in my car however; recently I have noted that the waze interface is causing my AMOLED screen to show a shadow screen of waze even while I am in other apps. I was wondering if the waze display screen items location can be changed randomly on an occasional basis to avoid such issues on the phone screens. I informed some of my friends and they found same issue on their phone so we are forced to reduce usage of this app as much as possible to avoid severe damages to our displays.    The Report button was designed to be noticed while blending in and it’s important to keep it as is.
   However, we will revisit this idea when working on Dark mode, in the future. Furthermore, since this is a physical issue that OLED phones suffer from in different apps, we recommend to use Battery Saver mode to allow your display some rest from bright colors that might lead to this dysfunction.

2. Temporary Speed Limits for Road Works

   I would like to suggest adding functionality to Waze that supports temporary speed limits on road segments affected by road works. This would work similarly to the current "Closures" feature in the Waze Map Editor (WME).

   Reason for Request:
   This summer, we have received numerous reports from drivers through the mobile app, indicating incorrect speed limits displayed on roads under construction. Currently, setting temporary speed limits and later restoring the original limits after the road works are completed is a time-consuming, double effort for us.

   A "Temporary Speed Limits for Road Works" feature would not only streamline the process of displaying accurate speed limits during road work but also allow us to retain the original speed limits without needing to manually restore them after the works are finished. This would improve efficiency and ensure accurate information is provided to drivers.

   Proposed Workflow:
   . In WME, introduce a "Road Works" option.

   b. Set start date/time and end date/time like for Closures

3. ALPR location database

   Would like ability to notate location of stationary and mobile license plate readers deployed on public roads. The same exact way in which red light and speed cameras are notated and reported on.

4. Indicate the speed limit on each portion in addition to the speedometer. Indicate the time or the last wazer to borrow the same road.

   Save favorite places on the internet account, it avoids recreating when changing phone.

   Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already displays a speedometer, including both your driving speed and the speed limit for the road you’re currently on.

5. Enhanced Visual Warning for Speed and Red-Light Cameras

   I would like to propose an additional visual alert system for speed and red-light cameras within Waze. The idea is to introduce a transparent red overlay that flashes on the screen as drivers approach a camera location.

   This feature would serve as a strong visual cue, especially for users who may not always be actively looking at their GPS display or listening to audio directions. The flashing overlay would draw immediate attention and help ensure drivers are more aware of upcoming enforcement zones.

   To keep the experience user-friendly and adaptable, I recommend that this alert be offered as an optional setting within the app, allowing users to enable or disable it according to their preference.

6. Finger hold for icon placement

   When placing a hazard or police location on the map, currently you have to tap on the screen to bring up the choices, tap for police, tap again for their location and then tap again to place it on the map. Why not after the first tap, if you keep your finger on the screen, automatically show the options, slide your finger to the one you want, and then once your finger is released, the icon drops straight into the map.
   Simple and less steps to get the right icon on the map and also lessens the time concentrating on your phone rather than the road.

7. Traffic Alerts

   Give drivers the option to manually enter a traffic incident ( police, speed camera etc) on the map rather than only allowing the them to report an incident on their tracking location. This can allow a driver to go a different direction or go past an incident and still enter an alert accurately for other drivers. Also allow an option for speed camera alone, because it is difficult to differentiate from police or a speed trap.

9. Use car GPS aerial

   In some cars the glass treatment screens radio signals making a GPS lock using the phone aerials difficult.

   When using Android Auto using the car's GPS aerial rather than the phone would give a better result.

   Google Maps seems to do this at the moment.

10. Live map (browser) - allow add drive-trough points, and save route w points to phone to use later (planned trips)

    In convenient large browser version on desktop/notebook, live map view, it is IMPOSSIBLE to handpick specific point to avoid rerouting trough other contry highway nearby etc... If someone tells me specifically i need to use some route point to pass trough, i want the ability to set it, conveniently on pc, and then share the whoule segmented route to phone - now on live map there is no way to add points to route

11. Able a shortcut icon on your cellphone home screen for your favorite addresses.

    Instead to open the app, go to favorites, then select one favorite address, how about able icons to be added on your cell phone home screen, so we quickly get ready to go.

12. System constantly reroutes then the server times out & deletes exsiting route

    When I set a route the system constantly reroutes almost every quarter to half a mile. At least 50% if not greater I will then get a message that the server timed out. This wouldn't be so bad except that when this happens it deletes the route I'm trying to follow until it tries again and usually then the server returns a route. This makes Waze virtually unusable. Please make it that once Waze has a route that it continues displaying and following that route until it gets new information from the user or server for a new route. Even if this results in a less than optimal route because of traffic it is better than no route at all (especially if the route I was following takes me in an unfamiliar part of town).

13. Concentrating on driving mode

    Hi
    I would like you to add an opening window which will ask me if I want to disconnect from texting apps while driving before I start driving with waze.
    Lately we are witnessing too many car accdidents that happen because of texting while driving..
    I would like to drive only with wasze working and having the opportunity to answer important phone calls with out texting.
    I don't want to see the text messages popping in my phone while driving with waze

14. Streamlined Spotify Integration

    I love the new Spotify integration, so thanks greatly for that.
    As much as I love it, it can get in the way a bit as having it open all the time consumes half the screen. (although it closes after notifications which is annoying)

    I'm sure I'm not the only one who has their phone linked to the car stereo via bluetooth. In this case I can change tracks via the stereo and therefore negates the need for the Waze music controls.

    It would be amazing if in the Waze Spotify settings there was a streamlined option that simply allows you to see the current track/artist only at all times.

    I feel this would allow the two to be more useful for many users by reducing screen interferance and decreasing the need to interact with the phone further.

    I love the new Spotify integration, so thanks greatly for that.

15. Motorcycle and rally communities

    For people to use Waze for navigation for groups (either leading and or distributing to a group) it would be great IF a person could go to Google Maps, make a route, then send it to Waze for navigation.
    I plan group motorcycle rides on Google Maps, but then there is no way for me to get that electronically over to GPS (I use my Android phone (waze) for navigation).
    I wind up still printing the Google Maps and putting them in my Tank back to follow.. Seems so 2005,,,

16. Configurable sound outputs in Android App

    Currently, the Android App is working in an unsatisfying way:

    In the Settings menu, under Sound, I've enabled the option to play sounds using the phone's speaker.
    When I plug in my earphones in my phone (a Samsung Galaxy S6) I expect all sound to be diverted to the earphones, not being played in the public speaker.

    Waze does not behave like this. It plays the sound in the speaker regardless of the cable.

    My request is to let the user configure, in detail, where the sound should go.

    Output sound to:
    [ ] Speaker/headphones
    ( ) Speaker OR headphones
    ( ) Speaker AND headphones
    [ ] Bluetooth

    There is a checkbox for the title-option "Speaker/headphones". As long as this is unchecked, the two radio buttons below is grayed-out. When you check it, you can choose one of the two alternatives, where "Speaker OR headphones" should be the default.

    Selecting "Speaker AND headphones" will output the sound both ways even though the audio cable is connected, while "Speaker OR headphones" work the intuitive way, i.e. no speaker when an audio cable is plugged in.

    If the checkbox for Bluetooth is checked, sound goes to Bluetooth as well.

    Im a very keen Waze user, the only suggestion I would like to make is regarding announcements of speed and police traps or other traffic incidents. These according to my driving experience using Waze should be made not only once or little bit earlier but also at least three times (for ex. 1x1000m 2x500m 3x200m) before arriving at the certain point.
    Especially the ones reported by the other Waze users, because oftenly for example when I see something to report, it takes other 200-300 meters until I take the phone in my hand and finally push the reporting button.
    It would be great to see these changes in the next update.

    Hold your finger on the speed gauge to move the speed gauge to a suitable location on your screen.
    This would be very useful especially on a tablet or phones with big screens.

19. Can't listen to radio and use Waze if I have bluetooth

    Please, give me a way to have my phone connected to my car's bluetooth, listen to the radio, AND hear Waze prompts through my phone's audio! Apparently you used to have a "Prefer Bluetooth" toggle that I could turn off, but it doesn't exist in the version I have. Why would you get rid of this? Now my choices are silence from Waze while I listen to the radio, dead silence in the car until I get a Waze prompt, or turn off Bluetooth completely so that Waze will play through my phone speakers.
    All I want is to be able to listen to the radio AND hear my Waze prompts without completely disconnecting my phone from Bluetooth, which is currently the only way to achieve this.

20. Tech Support

    1. Why not have an actual accessible tech support email system that can be found and used?
    2. After my phone went from Lollipop to Marshmallow, the Waze map disappeared. And navigation wasn't possible. So I uninstalled and reinstalled. Then, while it recogized me from my phone number and showed my username and points accumulated, etc., it said it couldn't find my account from my phone number, same phone, and wouldn't restore me, even though it showed my username and points. Like 25 times. Then I logged in with Fb and it now associates my phone number with an unregistered new account. But it still sees my original Waze username because it won't let me use it. I want my account restored and points back. Why did this happen to me, and why is it so difficult to get some simple technical support for this app? The formerly happy Waze-user formally known as "RandmanRandman."
