Feedback and Feature Suggestion for Improved Map Interaction
I wanted to share some observations and a suggestion that could enhance the user experience when searching for locations with multiple branches, like Safeway.
I noticed that Apple Maps stands out by showing the user’s current location in relation to multiple search results on the map, which helps give a quick visual understanding of where you are and where you’re headed. Ability to place a road closed location remotely
The road ahead of me was closed due to a fatal accident with closure notification / diversion starting approx 5miles before the accident. No waze user had got close enough to post a “road closed” so waze constantly tried to redirect from diversion route back onto closed road before the accident. Suggest ability to post road closure ahead and if closure if single or both directions.

Road help from another users via waze
users may note that they have a rope or other equipment to help get stuck, a booster to help start the engine. and other users can press the request help button to start the car or push out of the snow trap. and this help request appears to the nearest users who have checked in the presence of a help kit.

Time saved vs detour tolerance slider
The biggest complaint I hear from non waze users is that it routes you a zig zag through a neighborhood or takes you off/on the highway to save 20 seconds.. I use it everywhere I go myself, still worth it BUT I do get annoyed when a significant amount of twists and turns if they don't end up being necessary.
I suggest a slider in settings in which the user could say "keep me on the most direct route unless it saves me at least" 3 minutes.. 5 minutes.. 10 minutes etc.

Add authorized Vehicles only entrances on highways to map
When driving on a highway where the two directions have land in between them and often there are many trees in that area, it would be good Sea on the map where the entrances are for authorized Vehicles only that go from one side of the highway to the other side of the highway. This is often where maintenance Vehicles Park and also law enforcement vehicles. It is often hard to see if there are any vehicles parked there until you actually pass the area especially if there are a lot of trees there.

When one is approaching a turn off point this is especially important at night
When one is approaching a turn off point we need a more clear indicator of the branch of road that we are supposed to take where they're going left or right especially at night when the maps are often not clear or we return it comes very suddenly and you're relatively new one some kind of new color or flashing pulsating being would make it clear that I need to go off of the road I'm on towards the New Direction

improving the interaction with the application by making it easier to use traffic estimation
most drivers do not need to plan a route in order to find out about the right direction to point b, but you need to view the traffic situation on the roads in general, it is especially important when there are many points in one day, therefore, in the Yandex Navigator application, you can evaluate traffic without choosing a trip on a sick scale and view the entire city on the map with traffic load rates, for example, from 1 to 10.

alert the destinations energy management system of my ETA
When an office employee clicks "Work" as their destination, Waze should send a message to the building automation system with that workers ID (coded, or their name, or desk number) and the building automation system can calculate the pre-start time needed for the HVAC system to ensure the space is up to temperature when the employee arrives. This will prevent unnecessarily early starts, also will start the system if they come in early, or on an unscheduled day. Delay navigation notifications
I think you should be able to set a stage of your journey when you want to start navigation notifications.
For instance I am travelling to London from the north of the UK, I know how to get from my house to the southbound motorway, I would choose navigation to start 2/3 of the way down the motorway, unless there are any issues during the journey1 vote -
Ability to Mark Playground zones
Hello, I would like to see the ability to mark the start and finish of playground zones, very similar to marking school zones. Some playground zones are marked with times and others are marked from sunset to sundown which can pose a local problem depending but in general can still be marked using seasonal general times.

menu on startup
Waze Start automatically with Android Auto and That is good, but we don't need to navigate every drive. So, the menu Where to each time is unnecessary and pressing the X to remove it each time is annoying.
If you think is save time, make the menu disappear after a few seconds if not been used.2 votes -
Enable drawing polygon areas where Closures cannot be applied
Use-case:
There is a bridge under construction where only one direction is open at a time, controlled by traffic lights. Currently, Waze often shows it as closed, even though cars are just waiting for the light to change.
Proposal:
Add a feature in WME to draw a polygon-shaped area where closures cannot be applied — useful for cases like temporary one-lane bridges with traffic lights, where Waze should display a queue instead of a closure.

Lord Commander Jon Snow voice navigation
Please may we have a Jon Snow voice command for navigation to give us directions, warn us of obstacles, and lead us on our journeys. Add one more title to his ever-expanding name: King of the Road. If anyone is deserving of this title, it's him. Thank you for looking and considering!

After setting your destination, set the tabindex to the GO button.
When you finally tell waze to navigate, it has this additional pop up. The popup does not have the hightlight/active button on the go button (to start navigating), but on the favorite (star) button. This is unintuitive. I had to use the dial while driving, hopefully find the GO button, and then press enter to start the navigation instead of just pressing enter in one go.

Add Completely Custom Routes
I would like the option to draw my own route. I often use Waze, not just to get places I've never been, but to time my arrival to places locally and be alerted to traffic incidents.
Overall I love Waze, but I can't use it much because it wants to "optimize" my route, which often takes me straight through dangerous construction areas (single lane concrete barrier interstate death chutes). We have a ton of construction in my area right now on almost every major road. I don't want to avoid all highways or interstates or even all of one interstate,…

Show "Where to?" Only when the app is Fully loaded
Sometimes when opening app (mobile), you can immediately tap "where to?" And start choosing the destination, but then while typing, suddenly input view closes back to main view and you accidentally tap on something and app starts calculating routes you dont even want to go to. That is annoying! Better do not show the "Where to?" Untill the app is totally loaded and ready. It would make overall UX more pleasant in a rush.

Waze tries to send me back to it's initial route rather than calculating options from my current path. i need more characters to explain.
When Waze gives me an initial route it always tries to send me back to that route. For example i was exiting a fast food parking lot and it would be very difficult to go left. I knew there was a route to the right but it wasn't showing up. I turned right anyway and Waze kept trying to turn me around. A driver in the express lane without a transponder configured receives a notification that a transponder is required
If Waze detects that a driver is in the express lane but the driver does not have a transponder configured in the app, provide an alert telling the driver a transponder is required.
Alternatively, let a driver know at the start of a drive that a given route could be faster if they had an ezpass transponder configured.2 votes
