Option to stay off interstate but stay on highways
We need a new option to only avoid Interstates. Sometimes I want to travel a decent road but just not on the interstate itself. If I pick the current avoid interstates and freeways option it sends me on every backroad there is. I still want to travel highways and decent roads.

Do AWAY with cartoonish “rewards”
Do AWAY with the cartoonish rewards! This is a useful app and not a ridiculous game. Going 75mph down the highway and I “verify” a car on the side of the road and as soon as I do I come over a small rise and there’s a car in the left shoulder partially in the fast lane and the ridiculous cartoon rewards are still flashing so I can’t press the notification button to alert other drivers!! It’s either a game or a useful app, stop trying to make it both!!

I select avoid freeways and Waze still takes me the quickest. I would like to use the back roads, scenic routes. I’m not in a hurry.
Back roads/scenic routes. Not everyone enjoys driving on the freeway/highway. I do use interstates but often want to use the back roads/scenic routes. Especially if I’m not on a time schedule and or in my classic vehicle.

Vehicle icon idea
I think for the Star Wars fans out there, you should make a YT-1300 Light Freighter as a car icon. You should be able to avoid the potential issue with Disney if you call it by it’s ship model and not the iconic name Millennium Falcon. Would be a great thing to offer for May the 4th be with you.

Portuguese - Seria muito útil criar um alerta de ciclistas e pedestres que estão transitando nos acostamentos das rodovias. Seria mais util ainda se o Wase pudesse acessar o banco de dados do Strava e automaticamente informasse que há "ciclistas a frente". Certamente os wazers alertariam da existência de ciclistas ou pedestres nas rodovias que representam perigo de atropelamento.

Show current direction and the next direction similar to google maps
I love using waze but one thing that always annoys me, especially when in areas I am not familiar with, is not knowing what the next direction is until I've completed the first.
For example, when exiting a highway there is no indication of if you should be turning left or right at the on-ramp until you have gotten close to the end of the ramp. I would find it really helpful if in scenarios like this the directions read "take exit ramp on right and then get in far left lane to take a left" or something similar to…9 votes -

Navigation improvements
I strongly suggest the developers come to Dubai and drive around with this app for a few days. You will understand that giving the driver instructions to get into the far left lane on a 9 lane highway literally 100m before having to change lanes is not only impractical, but actually dangerous. I have checked...this graphical display at the top of the screen should change no less than 1800m before the change should occur. It is a wonderful app, far ahead of Google maps, but for now I will uninstall it as it has caused me quite a few headaches.…

En Ciudad de México, the mobile GPS not really identifies which track you are (central, express or side). It would be interesting that the user could "fix" warning in which the roads are really and so the waze calculate the route correctly.

Being able to input your own route
We drive abnormal loads that are governed by police routes, we have to avoid certain roads/bridges due to the weight of our vehicle ,is it possible to be able to input the route as specified by the police ?

Safety Warning
I’d like to address a serious safety concern regarding Angeles Crest Highway. This road is extremely dangerous due to its sharp turns, narrow lanes, and proximity to sheer mountain edges. Drivers are often faced with oncoming traffic and either the edge of the mountain or the rocky mountainside. It is, without a doubt, the most terrifying road I’ve ever traveled.

Edit Pothole Location If Passed
sometimes it takes time to click report and select the option of a pothole. But by this time, you have either passed it or are unable to use your phone for Whatever reason such as inability to touch phone screen etc. So having the ability to show on the map where the pothole was would help users of the app avoid the pothole before getting to it as my experiences that I hit the pothole before I’m warned about it. multiple reoccuring beep option when speed limit threshold is exceeded.
Being able to set a reoccuring beep (instead of just one beep) when the speed threshhold is exceed is very necessary. This way speed cameras can be avoided and one is reminded what the speed limit is. Also, it is necessary to be able to add temporary speed limits into the trip line. These may or may not be permanent, but important just the same due to temporary speed cameras.

important traffic signs on waze map
in order to increase the safety of wasers and other traffic participants, what do you say if on the waze map will be the important traffic signs like: priority road, give way, stop, no stopping, no entry, one way, pedestrian crossing, level crossing; there are a lot of hiden signs by buildings, vegetation or by other reason those important signs are not seen and this goes to traffic events and it can be avoided if waze drivers are warned by their devices (if voice is activated)

A way to take a picture of slow left lane drivers
Waze users take pictures of slow left-hand lane drivers. Then multiple pictures of the same slow vehicle in the left lane would notify law enforcement.

Motorcycle Upgrade
Allow Motorcyclists to identify as motorcyclist then:
1. Allow he/she to connect with other riders they encounter on their past trip. Sometimes you end up riding with someone you don't know and you don't want to follow them home to link up so if you could add a feature for motorcyclists to connect with one another (" Hey great ride while you were out there you rode with .... for x miles")- Update location of Motorcycles as hazard updates on everyone's map. Show freeway routes and backroads at the same time
It would be great if I could compare freeway routes and backroad routes at the same time without having to "avoid freeway" so I get navigation for the backroads. When the freeway is backed up, every alternate route still takes me back onto the freeway.
Also, show me roads that will reroute me off of the freeway to get around accidents and then get me back on.3 votes
