Support ODB bluetooth dongles
Allow the use of an ODB bluetooth dongle to get a number of improvements. These dongles are quite cheap and provide a wealth of extra data. Possible uses:

Using the actual vehicle speed combined with compass, accelerometer and map matching it should be possible to have accurate positioning in tunnels/urban canyons. TomTom does this and is able to do near-perfect positioning with only one GPS datapoint every 30 minutes.[ Monitor fuel usage ]

Personal statistics
Would be nice to get stats about your personal routes : average travel time between your first 2 or 3 destinations, average waze error on ETA (accuracy and precision - see wikipedia for the difference), time you spend driving per day, number of wazers you cross... one can invent all sort of fun and useful statistics.

Routing server timeouts - retry in the background
Sometimes everyone of us experiences routing server timeouts with an Oops/OK prompt. Then one needs to reclick the destination while driving, which is disturbing. Perhaps the client could have an option to retry a couple of times in the background, and then notify if all retries failed?

Set Waze as default iOS navigation app [iOS 18.4/EU only]
In the EU, Apple has finally made it possible to set a default navigation app in iOS 18.4.
Unfortunately, Waze has not yet implemented this feature.
You can find the new option in iOS 18.4 under Settings -> Apps -> Default apps -> Navigation

It would be really great to finally have the option on iOS to open addresses directly without having to copy and paste them manually into Waze, for example.

Having custom icons for saved places such as show for work or home, to make them stand out more, such as GYM icon for gym, or a brother/sister/partner symbol?

Tell Waze you are pulling a trailer
Would like to tell Waze when I am pulling a trailer. Was going thru San Francisco on my way north. Waze sent me thru some alternate routes to avoid traffic, but the routes were fine for a car but problematic when pulling a trailer. Narrow alleys and straight up hills.

Floating map like google maps
It would be so much easier for work. I am currently working as a driver. Waze has way better routes than Google maps but the downside is that I have to close the navigation if I want to check my work app. Unfortunately because of this inconvenience I'm forced to use Google maps.

House numbers should be visible on each location on the map overview

Android auto - missing setting
Om android auto user interface there is no posibility on change route option: "avoid/not avoid toll roads"
Very interesting because when you are driving maybe you want to change it easily.

Color Coding for "Traffic" Reports Indication
To Use different Color Codes for :
"Moderate" - "Yellow" Color
"Heavy" - "Orange" Color
"Standstill" - "Red" ColorThis will indirectly help us to minimize our attention to the Screen without touch the Icon for Status of that Traffic in that location. Speed alerts ,audio speed changes,school zones
…I use Waze to help give me audio alert when I go over the speed limit. Only thing is that it only alerts you one time and if you go over the speed limit again it will not alert you. I would find it very beneficial but it alerts you every time you go over the speed limit. I would also would like to have school zones added and alerted. And possibly have speed limit decrease to 20 mph when school zones are active with audio alerts. I live in a very small town and is known to have speed29 votes -
Make gas stations ahead of you the default
Yes, if there are no gas stations ahead of me for X distance then yes turn me around but I’d rather stop at a gas station in the direction I am going

Créer une nouvelle catégorie de véhicule
Pour mon activité de particulier j'ai un camion qui fait 3 m 20 le problème c'est que il y a des ponts à 2 m 50 donc ça me pose problème pour passer dessous ses ponts c'est tunnel et autres je souhaiterais proposer un quatrième véhicule camion (on pourra sélectionner la hauteur la largeur le poids et la longueur du camion) ça pourrait nous faciliter la vie et éviter les accidents.

add the "Next turns" option in Android Auto
On the phone I can click on the top of the screen to see several turns but in Android Auto I can only see the next turn.
