  2. insert a + into the instrument panel to add intermediate stop

Add a command to add intermediate stops in driving instructions, (see Google Maps) the current maneuver is unclear and not immediately feasible when you are in the car

  3. Please add "pause" function for Closures

The "pause" feature will allow editing/modification of segments affected by an ongoing closure. While the closure is active, those segments cannot be edited until the closure concludes or is deleted and recreated. Temporarily pausing a closure to allow changes allows editors to modify any part of the segment. This is useful for long-term closures where significant changes are made to the segments. These changes can be applied to the WME before the closure ends or the roadway expansion or work project is completed, allowing those segments to reopen to vehicle traffic.

  4. Highlight or add areas that have GPS traces without a Waze segment

To identify natively within WME to access areas where the GPS points clearly identify that the road is now constructed and ready for use but Waze doesn't have a segment at this location.

WME/Waze could highlight this to us on the WME feed or as a separate sheets file or any other method where GPS traces are present but no segment under?

This will be the highest confidence that the road exists in real life and editors can focus on it.

GPS Traces are not supported currently by the WME SDK also so we can't script our way through identifying…

  5. Naučit trasu

Uvítal bych možnost naučit trasu na danou adresu. Aplikace volí špatně sjízdné cesty. Jedná se o trasu k mému místu bydliště. Aplikaci bych trasu naučil a nastavil, aby jí aplikace nabízela jako prioritní.

  6. Allow speed bump identification for south africa map

South Africa has a lot of speed humps which extend across the entire width of the road.
These speed bumps are not marked very well and adding these to the map will be a great help.

  7. long trip

Ability to select way points on your trip so you can specifically select certain roads.
Ability to skip a country due to tolls or other reasons. Example: UK to Italy you select avoid France, the system will generate roads based on skipping France.

More support in general for long trips across country.

  9. alternate routes

I drive to the same home twice a week, another location once a week, and run errands on Tuesdays. I use Waze not because I don’t know the routes, but to ensure I’m taking the path of least resistance.

Waze often suggests a route different from my usual one — but I don’t know why. It would be extremely helpful if Waze could show a brief explanation such as “2 minutes faster due to traffic” or “avoids accident ahead.”

Knowing the reason would help me trust Waze’s rerouting, especially when I have regular routes and driving habits.

  10. Full Multi-Stop Route Planning

I’d like to request a true multi-stop route feature like Google Maps has, where you can add and reorder several stops in a single trip. This would make it much easier to plan errands or road trips without having to set each leg separately.

  11. Update links in WME footer - "Get help" and "Editing forum"

In the footer of WME are two links: "Get help" and "Editing forum", which are out of date.

Low priority fix, I only post this to make my OCD happy.

  12. Add Road Recommendation Options: Automatic / Recommended / Not Recommended

I suggest adding a new feature in the Waze Map Editor (WME) that allows editors to set a road recommendation level with three options:

Automatic – Let the system decide the road's priority based on current data.

Recommended – Gives the road a higher priority in route suggestions for users.

Not Recommended – Lowers the road’s priority in suggested routes, used only when no better alternatives are available.

    Benefits:

    Improves navigation accuracy for drivers.

    Prioritizes safer or faster roads.

Avoids suggesting problematic or less suitable roads unless necessary.

Provides greater flexibility in controlling road priority to better match real-world conditions.

  13. Add "Road Under Construction" option in WME

I suggest adding a new option in the Waze Map Editor (WME) called "Road Under Construction", allowing editors to mark roads that are incomplete or still being built and not yet open to traffic.

    Benefits:

Prevent drivers from being routed to unfinished or closed roads.

Visually distinguish these roads with a special color or icon.

Allow setting an estimated opening date so the road can be activated automatically when ready.

Reduce complaints and reports caused by inaccessible roads.

This feature will help improve map accuracy and provide a better user experience for Waze drivers.

  14. Minimum Zoom level for URs/Issues Tab

It would be great to decrease the minimum zoom levels for Issues tab, which would help editors monitoring a larger area. Currently URs/Issues are only shown at a minimum zoom level of 12, which isn't wide enough for bigger countries like Australia.

It would be much more convenient for an editor to have this level reduced to something close to 10.

  15. Automatic approval of EVCS PURs from EVCS Feed Data

Since these come up from an automated feed (I am assuming Waze has some channel similar to Petrol Station PURs), is there a reason that Waze doesn't automatically approve them?

I understand that, similar to petrol stations, these need to be verified, to some extent. However, the scope of verification of these places could easily become unmanageable for volunteers.

Unlike traditional petrol stations, with EVCS, there could be any number of plug types, network types, payment types, etc., all at the same place.

It would be much better use of volunteer time and resources to automatically approve first (as configured),…

  16. WME Editor Saved Config/Settings Profiles

Are there any plans to have a collection of user-defined editing profiles?

This would be similar to the concept of Saved Filters under Issues tab, albeit, in case of config, an editor could create multiple configs, which are basically a subset of options to show/hide various Map Layers.

These should then persist on the server, such that an editor can load them from anywhere on any machine.

The idea is that sometimes an editor may want to turn on/off a bunch of layers, depending on task at hand."

  17. "Announce Speed Drop" option

A new feature was rolled out recently that automatically announced speed limit changes if the difference in limits was significant. However, I have come across many cases where there's a fast speed limit change that occurs under the announcement threshold, or in cases where announcing the speed limit change would be unnecessary (i.e. turning onto a new street). Similar to how turn instructions are given a dropdown with "waze default," there should be an option to select whether or not a speed limit change is announced on a route. These options should be under the same set of menus for…

  18. Mute Button for temporary stops

On the app, how about a mute button for temporary stops, like for a rest stop, gas station or restaurant that is off a highway? Not having to listen to make a u-turn every 5 seconds when a restaurant is a mile off the interstate, can be annoying

  19. Have police marking start at dark blue...

On the app, have police marking start at dark blue and the next 10 minutes, have the shade go lighter and then again in 10 minutes, even lighter. This will help determine how long ago that the report was made.

  20. Mytery drive

You know how some people like to go for a Sunday ride? We'll this app would be for you.
A map app that you could put in where you are, how long you want to drive, maybe what kind of things you to see. And it would give you some options of drives and you could pick one. They would be different kinds like staying off highways, or include them. Ways maybe you wouldn't think of going. You wouldn't have to have a destination. It could be just a circle back to your house or to a destination with different…
