Bring back the zoom bar
With all of the new zoom levels I'm respectfully begging for the return of the zoom bar in order to know what zoom level you are at. Since many map objects only display below a certain zoom level, in vanilla WME, you must guess whether you'll be able to see what you need. Also, the zoom bar allowed for single click zooming, rather than using the scroll wheel or multiple clicks.

Add support for Passing Lane Alerts
Add functionality when on main single lane roads so the User can opt to display the distance to the next passing lane. The location and length of passing lanes would be added by editors and would give drivers an indication of how long until the next passing lane (and once in the lane, how long until it ends), potentially preventing drivers from taking unsafe risks and passing when not safe.
Passing lanes are used extensively in New Zealand and Australia, and I imagine are also used around the world.

Reorder custom turn instruction elements
When editing custom turn instructions, if an element (shield or free text) should be inserted before existing elements, then the existing elements must be deleted. There is no way to create new elements in front of existing elements.
Please add the ability to reorder elements. This way we could create new elements and then move them to the front if needed. This would save many clicks and retyping.

Remove unpaived attribute from Off-road / Not maintained segments
An Off-road / Not maintained segment is unpaived by definition and should not have the unpaived attribute. We encountered navigation problems to destinations on such segments because of this attribute, so in Israel we don't allow to set this attribute. New editors are not aware of this problem, and think that they should set it to unpaived, and we have to explain it to them.
Please remove this attribute in this type of segments in the WME, and it will save a lot of effort.45 votesThanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

"Hide street name" option
Include a checkbox near the street name for segments, so that when it is selected the name of the street does not appear on the live or client map. This would be useful for segments that have a name that would benefit directions, but could be confusing to see on the map. For example, seeing the name "Main St Frontage Road" on the app, especially when zoomed out enough that the name appears right over "Main St", could easily cause confusion and take longer for the driver to comprehend the map, especially if they are familiar with the area.

Fix the lane width and lane guidance interface
You have "Number of lanes" listed twice for two different things. 1) the number of lanes at the start of the segment (incoming used for lane width) and 2) number of lanes (outgoing used for lane guidance arrows).
Recommend having the lane width changed to "Incoming number of lanes" and lane guidance changed to "outgoing number of lanes"
Yes after you get used to the current configuration it can be figured out but it is never a good practice to have two different items with the same label on a single interface.
Also the Displayed lane guidance arrows are just…

Ability to readjust junction boxes
At the moment junction boxes can be drawn when they are being created. After the junction box is saved, the form of the boxes can't be adjusted anymore.
This is problematic because:
a) Now it is possible to move nodes inside a junction box. But if the junction box is too small, there is not enough space to sufficiently correct and move a node.b) If the junction box is not sufficient it must be deleted and recreated in order to correct some bad edits. This leads to a loss of all saved cross-times, which affects routing for a period…
33 votesGreat timing! We're currently working on the ability to readjust junction boxes. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.

Allow editor comments in URs
Allow editors to add comments to URs that do NOT go the reporter.
Editors often have suggestions for possible reasons for URs, that other editors may not be aware of.2 votes -
Show Entry Point Name changes in POI history and PUR
I noticed that Changes to the name of Entry Points of places won't show up in the POI history, it simply says "Updated Entry Points".
This also affects PURs, since you don't know what the Wazer/Editor is suggesting until you accept it.
I reckon those requests mostly get declined since there's no visible change. My suggestion is to add those name changes to the history and PURs.

Select left hand drive or right hand drive vehicle
My car is a left hand drive vehicle however while using the app on an android headunit the directions are on the left side of the screen while the map is on the right hand side of the screen which is very hard to see. I suggest an option if your car is a left hand drive vehicle to swap these two and revert back if it is a right hand drive vehicle.

Clear direction cache when WME edits are made
Often when WME edits are made affecting routing to an address, the Wazer still gets the same incorrect routing because the old data is cached. Then editors get another UR because the Wazer thinks the changes were never made, and we have to explain how to clear the incorrect data from the cache. That can be a problem for those who are technologically-challenged. Not to mention time-consuming for editors who have to walk them through it, sometimes exchanging multiple messages with the Wazer. Can Wazedev find a way to automatically clear incorrect data from the cache when edits have been…

Remove multiple closures
If you have a list of closures that need to be removed, it would be good to have a way of removing them in one go. Either by a selection check box option, or just a single Remove All option.
23 votesGreat timing! We’re currently working on the feature to remove multiple closures at once. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.

Particular and recurring restrictions
Sometimes I faced uncommon recurring restrictions to be applied on a segment, for example:
- every first sunday of every month;
- every third thursday of even months;
- every last saturday of every month. There is NO WAY to do it automatically in WME, because the editor is unable to know which is the first occurrence of sunday every month and so on, meaning I have to edit those restrictions manually, and I will for sure forget about them.
Developing a built-in tool for these particular cases could be globally very useful.

Avoid school zones
We need to be able to choose to avoid school zones. Waze takes me through several school zones on my way home. When you don't know the area, you don't know how to go around them. This is really frustrating. The speed slows down to 20 in most zones around here.

Control point / guard house on road
I would like to recommend Waze add a map editing / issue feature for a road control checkpoint. A checkpoint is a common element of various roads around the world and would be important for Waze to add the ability to indicate it.

custom layers and map editor colours / themes
so I have used Waze for a bit and I love seeing the editor map with the coloured roads, but there's a few problems...
- no support in night mode
- can't change the colours, even if it's there to match the sign sometimes I want to have custom colours,
- can't have custom layers, sometimes I want to have the alternate route 1 in Melbourne Australia white or create my own custom routes. a layer I would like to create is a mobile camera colour where a road that has mobile cameras and such shows up as a custom…1 voteThanks for your feedback. Easier way for cutting a segment
There are a lot of occasions where the properties of a road (eg speed) changes within the same segment. Currently the only way to cut segments is to add a road with a junction on the spot where one wants to split the original segment and immediately remove the added road.
This is rather cumbersome/overkill and could lead into incorrect data.
Other map reporting tools have a segment split option within a simple right hand mouse click and it would be nice if a more simple way would be available in WME too.41 votesThanks for your feedback. Not a helpful shortcut
Funneling drivers onto Dinnick Crescent (Toronto) at rush hour instead of continuing to the light at Mt. Pleasant and Lawrence actually creates a worse, or equally bad lineup, as there is no ability to turn left (west) onto Lawrence. The traffic on Lawrence is solid for several blocks and drivers don't make room for those turning left, which then creates a lineup of cars on Dinnick with angry drivers who want to turn right. It would save time to simply stay on Mt. Pleasant and wait for the light.
