1. Surfacing House Number Errors

   A nice feature would be to surface the real error message from house number additions. Sometimes when there is a conflict between segments, you get a generic "there was an error" type message, but the back end call has the full details which you can see through dev tools. For example:

2. Allow closure overlapping

   Hi,
   very often I am notified of an event that needs closure after it started, then I go to select the many segments that must be closed.
   When I want to add a proper closure on them, there are already dozen of closure made by drivers and I have to remove all of them one by one before adding mine. That's annoying because it is slow, and sometimes new closure are made by drivers while I am removing them :

   And overlapping closure are not a real problem because when it is done by waze app it happens often so it seems it is a check added by WME that lead only to bad ergonomy.

3. Events entry for multiple dates but basic information is the same for quicker creation

   I spent quite a bit of time entering Events today for concerts that happen on every Friday in the summer. Basically the only information that was different was the dates and the road closures were also the same except for the dates. This would be a great time saver if it could enter all the dates and times in separate sections and created separate Events.

4. Record node RTCs in the edit history

   Segment RTCs are recorded in the segment edit history, allowing editors to easily check along a route to see if a now-expired closure may have been the reason for a routing problem flagged up via a UR.

   Now that we have the ability to also mark nodes as open/closed in order to allow/deny routing across a closure, having node closure states recorded in the history is also important, so that we can deal with URs related to routing problems along those cross routes as well.

   ideally we'd be able to see in the history for a given segment if either of its nodes had been marked as closed (and over what period of time the closure was active), even if the node closure had been implemented as part of a RTC set up on a different segment.

7. Possibility to adjust fuel prices with WME.

   More and more gasoline prices are no longer kept up to date by Waze users. To ensure that people in my region can see the current prices at the gas stations, I now enter these via the app. This takes a lot of time. I would like, and many others probably with me, the option to enter these gasoline prices via WME.

8. Types of electronic toll

   As you know, if you plan a route through highways containing segments with the option “electronic toll” enabled, a time penalty will be added to the final estimated time of route. (3 minutes for each electronic toll, right?)

   Here in Portugal we have 2 different types of electronic toll:

   -> Type 1 - You need to reduce speed (Electronic reader) or stop (Manual ticket) to cross the toll.
   -> Type 2 - You don’t need to reduce speed or stop to cross the toll.

   So there should be a time penalty on type 1 but not on type 2, but there is no way to distinguish them in WME. Because of this lack of feature, sometimes Waze suggests incorrect/misleading routes.

   Quick question: Does the presented estimated time on planned routes on Live Map already include this time penalty regarding the electronic tolls or is it added to that estimated time?

   Thank you for the suggestion, but this sort of update to the Toll feature is not on the WME roadmap.

9. change/adapt default average speed assigned to a segment for itinerary calculation

   Hello,

   Using the script "road speed", I can see what are the average speed used for route calculation on every segment.

   I'm working on the map in Rwanda, Africa. Here, the major/minor highway may sometime be unpaved road. On these road, the driving speed never exceed 20-30 kph. However, by default, the speed on these "major highway" segment asigned by waze is 60-80 kph, which induce huge difference in the ETA.

   Of course, in cities or in the main roads where there is a lot of wazer traffic, this is automatically adapted thanks to the users. But in less populated area or for less frequented road, it is not as effective.

   My suggestion is to allow, for Africa and other "waze emerging markets", to allow editors (from a certain level of course), to set up the average speed. Or at least to adapt the average speed used by Waze for itinerary calculation by country. In Rwanda, the speed limit, even on Highway, is Often 60 out of the cities/village or 40 while crossing villages. So the basic average speeed of 90-100 set for highway is completely wrong and induce bad ETA, until lot of people uses the road (which is not the case in countries like rwanda).

   Anyway, for unpaved roads (which ever category of road it is), the average speed should not be more than 20-25 kph in Rwanda.

10. Add permanent user based Hazard markers to the map (to assist when local authorities don't flag))

    I came up with this idea after getting incredibly tired of flagging a long term roadworks hazard that's turned a two-way piece of road into to automated stop light controlled one-way travel. That fact that none of the road authorities here in NSW, Australia, who can tag such things (such as the NSW TMC) still have not after some 6 months (as compared to recently flagging another identical set of long term roadworks in another area I travel through). This has prompted me (thanks to another member's suggestion) to post the idea of the idea of allowing users (maybe more senior ones) to post permanent (or semi permanent) hazard flags for roads which aren't formally acknowledged. This could also be moderated via the a 'still there' option in the pop up say just like other hazards but maybe take a quorum of hits to remove the flag.

11. Name field for RPPs

    I propose to add a name field for RPPs: "Building name"

    It should be an optional field, ideally with some help text besides/below it to remind users in which cases they should fill this in.

    It can be used for condo complexes that carry a name or even retirement homes / long-term case homes (which currently have no real category.)

    Obviously, it should not be used for uses as "my home" or "my friend's home"

    In WME, we're getting a lot of place requests for condo towers, because users love to add names and then can't figure out in which category it belongs.

12. A map problem for a suspected closed venue

    Many venues that are closed remain in the WME and become WME garbage. During the years these "garbage venues" are growing in number, and the editors do not pay attention to them.
    I suggest that there will be a new map problem that will pop up when a venue was not a destination of any navigation for a year or two. If the MP is closed without deleting the venue, it will reset the time for that venue (as though it was a navigation destination).

13. Improve comments from other users on Closures and Reports

    When other users comments on Closures and Reports I have submitted they show as a pop-up in the app and then disappear, forever! These comments are nowhere to be found. Not in the app inbox, not in my e-mail.

    The only way to reply is to find the closure or the report on the map. But for an L5 editor like myself who puts dozens of closures around the country every week, that's useless.

    Can you please improve how these comments are handled?

14. Tell us if the reporter closes their own report

    Please tell us if the reporter has closed their own UR (don't need to know their username).

    Quite often a UR is closed by an editor, and it gives their username in the email and closed UR. The problem is we aren't told if this is just some random editor, or the reporter themselves.

    It annoys me when an editors closes URs without comment, as it goes against etiquette, but I wouldn't be so bothered if I knew it was the original reporter. If it wasn't the original reporter, then we could follow up with the editor who closed it.

    Please differentiate between visiting helpers/raiders and true Area Managers. At present, temporary map raiders and other visiting helpers are typically provided with editable area by granting them "Area Manager" status. As a result, community tools do not distinguish between visiting helpers and dedicated local managers. This can confuse editors, particularly beginners and visitors, who want to identify a true Area Manager for a region in order to open a conversation on local issues. It may also demoralize true Area Managers when the same status they worked hard for, and feel proud to have been granted, appears to be granted with ease to less-invested visiting helpers.

16. Set up an autoreply for the UR message notification mails

    Every so often, we still encounter people who send a reply mail to the UR message notification mails. Sometimes Wazers do this when they're unable to respond in any other way, but usually they just do this out of habit. The mail address itself clearly indicates it shouldn't be used to get a reply (no-reply@waze.com), but in many mail clients mostly the name ("Waze Map Editor") gets shown.

    I'd like to therefore propose the addition of an autoreply mail whenever someone sends a message to the no-reply@waze.com inbox. I know it's ironic to send replies from a mailbox that says "no-reply", but I think it's a better user experience than the current situation.

    I'm aware of the communication improvements being planned between the app and WME, but I don't think this should wait for that improvement. Autoreply mails are a feature in pretty much any mailing system.

17. Temporary Construction Zone Restriction

    Per conversation on the editors discord, it would be nice to have a black and orange dashed line which would indicate construction zones in Waze. This way drivers would get an alert and know to slow down if there are any speed restrictions. In the WME app, users would be able to set these temporary restrictions up to what is allowed per their level. This would be done through restrictions field in the editor. A tab would be added in the restrictions editor to show construction zone information. For a user to set a construction zone on a segment or multiple segments, they would have to set a flag for construction zone from false to true. Then they would be able to enter information regarding the closure in a notes field. They will then enter the temporary speed limit as an entry field as well as a separate field to enter lane closures if applicable. This upgrade to the app and editor would provide better safety for Waze users and workers within a construction zone.

18. A place with an expiration date

    I would like to suggest adding an expiration date to a place. When the expiration data is reached the place deletes it self from the map. This option is good for places such as events like weddings, parties, sports tournament etc..
    Today, many such places which their event date passed exist on the map and nobody remembers to delete them and the map gets loaded.
    The expiration date default would be of course - No expiration so that new places would not be deleted.
    Such an option is already implemented in Map comments.

    Great timing! We’re currently working on adding an expiration date to a place. Keep an eye out for updates on the WME.

19. Truck Routes / Bike Routes

    Add a commercial truck routes mode for truck drivers on the app, a lot of trailer tractor drivers out there struggling with traffic and fines bc of not knowing which routes are best for them on each new city they go to. PLEASE HAVE THIS IN CONSIDERATION ALONG WITH BIKE ROUTES TOO.

20. Send problem to setted email by template

    Need posibility create template email, and set receivers emails, when i put problem on map email should automaticaly fill template and send it to receivers, with possibility take photo or video for that time from connected videoregistrator.
