this idea needs traction. once navigation has been started and you search for another place, just make a third option available in addition to "New drive" or "Add a stop" make it "Later stop" or something like that. or if you choose Add a stop it could ask before or after on the next popup?

it is not obvious that the "This is a residential place" button is in fact a button. Please make it have a check box or make it more obvious that it is a button that must be tapped to continue along the residential workflow. perhaps change it to read "Is this a residential place?" with a yes/no to proceed.

We've been asking for this feature since 2018.
Is it a technical limitation? Something else?
I'm sick of trying to make excuses in URs when someone reports a Missing Road when what they really want to do is report a closure. The vast majority of your userbase are not coming here to make suggestions, they're deleting Waze and going to your competition.
Do you want your volunteer editors to be doing useful work on the map, or would you prefer we continue tilting at windmills and asking for clarification from people who will ultimately never respond to us?

@Ella if you're not going to add this feature, please explain why. is it a limitation with CarPlay/AA or something else?
as a map editor, i find myself making excuses for your lack of this feature at least once a week. i'm sick of answering this question in URs!

yes, this _is_ a suggestion. the user is asking for the ability to be able to report a closure via CarPlay!

so many reports of "missing road" are actually closures. this is a pretty glaring omission to both the Android Auto and CarPlay offerings... how long has it been now since this idea was posted and we've seen nothing?

This is a perfect use case for the new "permanent hazard" feature that is currently rolling out.
I get dragged every time I comment on this idea in the forums because "Waze is not intended for commercial use" but a lot of Wazers use high profile vehicles for personal use...

Can we have the option for a "dawn to dusk" checkbox for Places? This could be matched with days of the week as well. Our phones and Waze already know what time to change between day and night modes, so it seems like there would be a way to show "opening soon" or "closing soon" based on that.
It would be very useful for parks and other outdoor attractions whose opening times are based on the sun and varies throughout the year.
