1) When journey resumes Waze requests to restart route
2) if you want to manually resume choose most recent route from history -

We plan to work on the ability to mark both the start and end of the construction zone in the near future. In the meantime, make sure you’ve got the latest version of Waze for all the latest features.

Map editor: select the road segment and add restriction relating to the direction and turning restriction including start and end dates. Better yet mark the section of road that crosses the railway as closed with date duration.

Agree. Can there be a way to add to a road segment a 'lane' for parking, restriction type: permit, disabled, ticket purchase required, time of day restriction active.

Expand the request to be able to set the realistic possible driving speed. In Australia there are many physical installations that are intended to slow traffic down
(speed hump, chicane, dip, pot hole, pinch in road to narrow to narrow it)
It would be good to set a maximum possible speed below the limit to indicate presence of traffic speed control. This would result in the routing system calculating realistic time to travel the road.

Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

"Not Driving Edits" are best made using https://www.waze.com/en-GB/editor int eh browser.
Clicking on a road segment in Map editor will allow you to mark the road as "Restricted" either partial or fully, and provide the start and end date of the restriction.

Already implemented for report crash or police. Maybe emergency services could be added.
1) emergency vehicles are fitted with LOUD sirens if you ear them you should be moving over
2) at any point on a map emergency vehicles will be present for 5min or less by the time the report is made would have passed
3)cannot predict reliably know the route of emergency vehicles.
Suggested approach:
1) Get agreement from emergency services to publish their route on waze and alert users based on route.
2)Add emergency vehicle flag to the police flag.
Agree a better solution is needed. But i don't think Waze can fix the issue.
