Displaying streets names
Please let us choose weather to display the streets names or not. When driving abroad I just want to get quickly to the destination. I don't care what are the streets names along the route.

option to disable the "This route is x faster than this other route"
Currently, after choosing a destination in Waze, it will also tell you that the route it's telling you is faster than some other route.
Why is theere a need to tell me that the current route is 6 minutes, 10 minutes, 17 minutes faster than the other route? It's a waste of time waiting for it to stop describing the slower route's time and streets/highways.
I would like an option to disable the post-selection vocal description of slower routes.

Ability to disable features
Give users ability to disable/opt-out of CarPool. I drive for work, and cannot have passengers, but frequently have navigation blocked by the "Carpool" screen when adjusting my phone in the holder / accidental contact with right side of screen.

trip times with stops
It seems that some thing has been removed from your features. Until today, I have been able to enter a destination and then add a stop and be able to see what time I will arrive at both my intermediate stop as well as my final destination. It seems that the only information available to me now is the intermediate stop arrival time. This is not as helpful because I need to be able to get to my final destination by a certain time, and therefore plan my departure for both destinations based on that. Without that information,…

Separate the Confirm or Deny buttons on the Screen by a lot more-
On a phone screen, the button to confirm a hazard/etc is too close to the button for negating the hazard. While driving, especially if you hit a bump, the chance of hitting the wrong button would be greatly reduced if the separation between the two buttons were greater. For instance if the confirm button was on one side of the screen and the deny button was on the opposite side of the screen.

Implement a setting for winter tires with studs and help the driver to avoid forbidden streets. In urban areas in the Nordic countries it is becoming more common that local politicians forbid driving cars with winter tires with studs on some streets with high pollution. When creating a route to a destination, Waze do not take into account that some of the streets may be restricted due to this. This is becoming a problem since the driver need to be a local to know where not to drive. Signs showing the restriction are always present but will be noticed…

active traffic bar
waze would be the PERFECT nav app if it had one more thing...an active traffic bar like the "copilot gps" app. seems like you could just take the traffic jam bar you already have (which is not very useful) and turn it into a permanent bar on the side of the map that reaches out to the end of the destination or up to maybe 50 miles or so...and updates every 5 mins or so with green/yellow/red based on traffic along the route. mapquest does a basic form of this but it's not quite right...however, copilot gps does it perfectly.…

Customized pre-departure planned drive times
I’d like a setting option to be able to customize the amount of time (in minutes) before my planned drive alerts me to leave for my destination. Typically I like to arrive at least 15 minutes to my destination before my scheduled meeting time, to allow for extra preparation time or traffic considerations.

Button that can send notifications to someone that you have reached your destination safely.
You have a button that enables us to send someone our ETA. Include an option that enables us to send someone a notification that lets them know we've reached home safely. Many times, I will be asked by a friend to let them know if I have reached home safely. It'd be cool to be able to just do that through Waze based on whether or not my GPS registers that I have reached "Home".

The ability to add a speed camera & police checkpoint etc when not driving (GPS)
In NZ we have random police checkpoints & speed cameras
it would be good to have ability to add speed cameras location when stopping further down road or when you have reached destination rather than via GPS

Police Car in the middle
On the open interstate highways in the USA the State Highway Patrol sit in the middle but I don't know which direction the police is shooting. If there is a "middle" option, it would alert Waze users of either direction. Not only one side of the highway

Add a "Can't do that !" button
Sometimes, Waze tells me to take a road and I can't, because it is blocked for construction, or because of a map error (road recently became one-way). When I pass the road, Waze recalculates and often, tells me to make a U-turn and take that same road. Which I still can't.
When Waze tells me to turn where I can't, I'd like to be able to press a "Can't do that" button which would have 2 effects :
- Report a "Wrong driving instructions" map problem.
- Recalculate an other way to reach my destination, without this particular road.19 votes -
time zone temp fix
If it's too difficult to have Waze team fix the time zone issue, how about Waze telling the user the destination crosses a diff time zone and to display a warning that they should manually set the time zone on their phone to the actual destination time zone to prevent confusions/issues. That way, Waze won't adjust when crossing the zone and destination will display ETA correctly for the whole trip. At arrival, another warning could be to remind the user to set his time zone on phone back to "automatic".

"Stop running in the background" switch on iOS
Hi. I found that Waze continues to run and use GPS and 3G signal while backgrounded on the iPhone. This is catastrophic in our country for two reasons: 1. It keeps the phone very hot. 2. it uses data at about 0.15 USD/MB, thereby ticking down your data and using up your money. You have to explicitly turn it off or explicitly quit the app. There should be a switch that says, and is by default, set to "Do not run or use data or GPS in the background". Calculating Meeting points
It would be great that if Waze can help the customers to advise a meeting place for people who are trying to carpool.
Basically, its taking 3 routes, if there are two participants are trying to get from their places to the same destination. .
1. Person 1's route from place A to place B.
2. Person 2's route from place C to place B.Then, Waze can calculate the most close meeting points fro Person 1 and Person 2 to meet and get to place B.

After setting your destination, set the tabindex to the GO button.
When you finally tell waze to navigate, it has this additional pop up. The popup does not have the hightlight/active button on the go button (to start navigating), but on the favorite (star) button. This is unintuitive. I had to use the dial while driving, hopefully find the GO button, and then press enter to start the navigation instead of just pressing enter in one go.

Place of origin and departure time in planned drive
Hi waze! I always use your planned drive. The problem is, after I make a planned drive, I can't see the place of origin and departure time in planned drives' list. Only destination and arrival time are shown in the list. We're having hard time putting it in our record.
