Use the telephone acceletor to get data about road quality
Use the telephone acceletor to get data about the general quality of the road. I live near roads that your phone would be shaking constantly. The accelerometer can be useful to give an overall quality rating for each segment.
Then waze could have an option prefer to choose good roads when routing.

Daylight and getting into a tunnel the screen could darken to night mode to not bother the driver.

Tell the user where he is right now
While driving on a long trip I sometimes didn't even know what city I was in. My car's built-in gps (outdated) has a button that I can push that shows approx address and city. Even street/intersection and city would be good enough.

It would be great if School Zones were added.
I gave votes to the others. I do understand there are time management issues. This would be a huge plus.

Could you either add rest stops, or allow us to report rest stops, as well as distance to the next one as reported/displayed?

Waze Support for the Parrot Asteroid
The Parrot Asteroid is a great car stereo based on android, however the unique nature of the device limits it's online apps to those that specifically support it. Currently the Asteroid has no turn by turn navigation. Waze's powerful mapping and reporting features would greatly benefit users of the Parrot Asteroid and raise awareness for both Parrot and Waze.

Change Road Hazard
Under road hazard / side of road. Remove missing sign. Add Tractor/Trailer. If I am new to a area I really wouldn't know what sign is missing and if I am from the area I probably wouldn't notice it missing. We see more cars on the side of the road but the big rigs are bigger and more likely to be hanging out in traffic,

Add vertical slide feature (navigate / traffic report like)
There are already 2 slide options.
1- If you click the Menu button and slide from left-right you activate the 'Navigate' command
2- If you click the Report button and slide from right-left you activate the 'Traffic report' commandWhat if you implement more 2 slide options, but now vertical (up-down) ?

Add a softkey to take screenshot
In Android you have to simultaneously press [Low Volume] + [Power] in order to take a screenshot.
If you are driving this is not possible and even if you are a passenger it is not practical.
It would be great a soft-key was created in the map (like the zoom commands).2 votes -
TTS language setting
TTS is currently forced to a single language based on the country you are in. If you travel to other country, waze will speak wrong words.

Make a "Map Editor" search mode on client
For area managers and other people who are into editting the map, make a search option that will help route them to a "map problem area" or to an area they marked for themselves from the map editor, and help them report to themselves what needs to be fixed. Then when they get back to their desktops, they can see what they recorded and make the appropriate fixes.

reports of "Missing bridge overpass"
As I am editing maps I see a lot of user reports of "Missing bridge overpass".
Usually, there is nothing I can do about the report because I don't see any sign of a Missing bridge overpass anywhere nearby.
Sometimes I can tell that the road has an intersection that should be an overpass with no intersection and I can fix that.I suggest that there are three major categories of things needing to be reported:
1) immediate traffic problems due to movable objects.
a) traffic problems
b) hazards
2) long term problems due to changes in permissible traffic
