life saving alert - lights on vocal alert. you already move to night mode , why not alerting drivers to turn lights on
Waze already moves to night mode at twilight zone.

Suggestions to Improve Waze UX/UI on Carplay
Two things I've noticed are causing issues (for me, personally at least) when using Waze for CarPlay.
1) I have to continually enter the zoom menu to zoom back down to the right distance...not ALL the time, but enough that I think it's probably a bug, and just wanted to mention it.
and most importantly...
2) The Notification/alert system is fundamentally broken IMO, because it essentially hijacks the navigation screen. It removes the arrival time, time remaining in your trip, and the distance you have left in your trip. These are details that I personally don't want to…

Alert in red light camera when only heading to one not away from it.
Only alert for red light camera if heading towards it. Do not alert when heading away from it just because it's in X meters because there is a round about ahead. Have it alert if you turn around on the round about and head to the camera. Getting an alert when heading away isn't useful at all.

Ability to EXIT from Alert Pop Up
On the new display design, when an alert pops up on the left-hand side (i.e. disabled vehicle on shoulder), it often hides information in the top-left navigation box. The user can not hide that alert box without hitting (1) still there or (2) not there. Oftentimes, the issue is still some ways down the road and the driver has no idea which to press. BUT, the driver presses something -- anything -- to remove the alert because they need to see the navigation information. This probably leads to bad data being shared out. Give the driver the option to HIDE…

Fixed speed camera alert stuck on screen bug
As soon as I get close to a fixed speed camera the on screen alert for that that appears on the left side of the screen gets stuck there for the whole trip. This is annoying because I can't get alerts for new speed cameras that I encounter during the same trip.

Alert on speed alert
To add a bit more fun to the app, could you add different alerts when hitting the speed limit announcement. Would love to have “ Oi, slow down”.

Drive only if necessary alert
The "Drive only if necessary" alert screen could have the OK and Close App button, to encourage the user to close the App and not drive without extreme need.

Add EMS Destination Alert
Provided a programmable time value, in minutes, that will be used to provide EMS personnel an alert when they are input minutes from destination. As a rule we are required to notify hospital 10-15 minutes prior to arrival with patient report.

Radar alert with visual speed information
I suggest inserting the speed information into the radar notification. The notification now only reports that there is a radar a few meters ahead, not to mention speed. The radar speeds are all set up in the Waze maps, being information that can be easily extracted. The feature would certainly help many users, even eliminating the use of applications that perform this function. I also recommend that in settings there be options to "always be notified", "be notified only when above speed" or "never be notified." Allowing the user to decide on notifications.

Allow me to define my daily commute route and show a look-ahead summary of any speed traps or accidents for entire route
When I leave to go to or from work, I would just like to see a summary that tells me if there are any speed traps or accidents along the route. Distance to the incident would be a plus, as would an audible alert when I am within a mile or two. I ride a motorcycle so interacting with the waze app while riding is impossible.

Change the distance fluctuation between the menu and the actual distance
Was searching an address and the list comes up it has one mileage noted then when you actually open the map that mileage is usually doubled I was told this is how it's supposed to be the first in the list is straight mileage who cares about straight mileage we're not in an airplane or a helicopter we are driving so they should match the actual map mileage. Very irritating for someone that drives for a living causing loss of time and money.

Alert for wrong way drivers on highways
Last night two drivers were killed by a wrong way driver On I93 north of Boston. I wonder if an alert on Waze that alert to a wrong way driver coming at you could have saved these lives. You need to ask yourself if this was your family would the cost to program be too much

In Canada need Waze to verbally alert to speed camera approaching no matter if over the speed limit or not.
Have Waze ALWAYS verbally alert when approaching a speed camera no matter if the driver is over the speed limit or not.

Past Reports of Mobile Speed Cameras Alert
With the recent addition of giving an alert to the user when a certain area has a "History of Accidents". Something similar should be done with mobile speed cameras where an alert comes up stating that the certain area that the user has entered has had previous reports of mobile speed cameras vans. I dont just mean being able to report Mobile Speed Cameras, as that already exists. I'm talking about an alert popping up as there has been numerous reports, can be from the day before to a month before.

New Alert ideas can be helpful during winter storm
Winter (frozen) weather was on 01/30/2023 - 02/02 in austin, Texas zip code 78730 and surrounding cities and the damage caused many counties are in the county emergency. My new suggesting alerts will help wazers during this weather event…
1) alert of power lines fall down onto road/street
2) alert of traffic lights without power (not operate)

More info in notification text (e.g. ETA, distance to destination, etc.)
A lot of time I have waze in the background and just listen for audio reports of hazards, etc. However, I also like to know my ETA. I think it would be useful to put the ETA, and perhaps other information, in the persistent Android notification. Right now it just says "waze ... return to waze" which isn't really useful. If the ETA were in the notification, I could check it without having to open the app, and then go back to whatever else I was looking at.

Pause audiobooks during Waze alerts
I listen to a lot of audiobooks (via Overdrive app) while using Waze to navigate, when I get a Waze alert or prompt though Waze will talk over the audiobook rather than pause/resume it. It's very annoying and I often miss what the narrator is saying and have to back it up. I wish the audiobook could be paused while the Waze alert is given and then pick right back up again afterwards.
