Tweeks on your max speed alerts
Two comments on your speed limit alert. 1st, the sound alert is barely audible and not continous while still speeding. 2nd, when I slowed down after exeeding the speed limit, then I speed up again, I get no audio alert that I exeeded the speed limit again. 3rd, maybe you can add an option as to when I will get notified of speeding. Like maybe before I reach a percentage of the max speed I can get notified already. Thanks and more power to you guys.

Background version of waze to voice alert on speed cameras when routing suggestions is not needed
In most of the cases you know the driving route and you don't need waze for suggesting routes. but it's very helpfull to get voice alert on speed cameras on the way.
I suggest to take that feature in waze and make it a standallone version that runs in the background (without the need to open it, or to display path, progress etc' which is battery consuming).5 votesYou can turn Waze to Alerts Only mode and keep app in the background – audio notifications about upcoming alerts will be provided.

Car on shoulder alert will not dismiss!
Car on road alert did not dismiss when answered just stars every time! Had to blow Waze off and reload it!

filter places by distance and open.
my idea is to add new filter in the search which will be very helpful for all the clients,
1 - we will ask all the places to put the open time, for example on Sunday we open from 8:00 tell 17:00.
2- new search filter will be added to the clients which will give them the ability to search by category and closed place and open at spastic time.i will give an example:
now its 23:30 and i need a particular drug,

Kangaroo Alert Feature for Australian Waze Users
I’d love to suggest adding a new alert option for kangaroo sightings near roads. In Australia, kangaroos are a significant cause of vehicle collisions, especially around dawn and dusk. It would be incredibly helpful if drivers could mark kangaroo sightings or active areas on the Waze map, just as they can mark hazards or police alerts.
This could appear as a small kangaroo icon, notifying nearby drivers to slow down or stay alert. It would improve safety for both drivers and wildlife, helping reduce collisions, injuries, and road damage.
Since Waze already supports user-reported hazards, this would fit…

Police Alert for Drivers Going Opposite Direction
When reporting a police presence in Waze there is an option for "Other Side". It would be a nice addition to provide an audible alert for drivers going that opposite direction, instead of merely showing it on the map. I sometime see a police car sitting high up on an entrance ramp checking speeds of traffic going the opposite direction that is mostly hidden to them. I would like to warn drivers going that way of its presence.

Auto turn screen on/off
When driving by directions, it would be great if Waze could turn off the screen when there is more than a specified distance to the next turn, and turn the screen on again when I'm within the specified distance.
We should have the option to set the specified distance to 500m, 1km, 2km, 5km and 10km.
It would also be nice to have an option to set the screen to turn on for 30 seconds or so if a report within our event radio comes in.

Stop hiding the direction when displaying an alert
When displaying an alert, it's very inconvenient and dangerous to suddenly have the directions hidden by the notification especially on the interchange.
I randomly chick on not there anymore just to choose the right. At that moment I need clear instructions and both hands on the wheels !2 votes -
Add Alert for Roadside Assistance Vehicles (Australia)
I’d like to suggest adding a specific alert or hazard option for stationary roadside assistance vehicles in Australia (e.g. RAA, tow trucks). A new rule in South Australia—and soon other states—requires drivers to slow down to 25 km/h when passing these vehicles displaying flashing amber lights.
Including a reportable category or automatic alert would help increase compliance, improve safety for roadside workers, and align with local road laws.

Potential Mobile Speed Trap Location Alert
There are many locations where Police Camera vans stay. These are often the same location, and often around bends so its too late once they see you. You should add to the map, just like with speed cameras, potential mobile speed trap. This would allow everyone to be alert at all times, then if the vans are there, Wazers can further report Police just as usual. This would prevent speeding earlier on rather than when someone finally reports the presence of police. For example, this could be done by adding a new icon e.g. a van symbol, with an audio …

Apple Carplay alert notification format
Regarding Apple Carplay, the notifications for cops, hazards, etc is set up that the "Thanks & Not There" are over & under each other. I feel they should be side to side instead. 1st its already risky to take eyes off the road to press on the alert but as the car is in motion and roads flow naturally in an up & down motion, It's pretty easy to confirm the wrong answer. If they were side by side, It completely reduces the clicking of the wrong answer.

Mobile speed camera
Uk at least, mobile speed camera alert needs to be significantly further ahead the distance as static ones. They have laser guns the work a good mile away, and they often set up on a long straight...

Speed alert has stopped working in Android Auto
Ever since the latest AA UI redesign, I have noticed that the "speed alert" feature has stopped working. I have not tested without AA, so I cannot say if this is specific to that or a general problem.

Zoom level resets after waze shows alerts while stopped
If I'm driving and set my zoom at a certain level and stop, waze shows nearby alerts... great! But when I drive again my zoom level is not what I've set it at. Also, please make the app show the alert on the side of the screen and put the pinpointed alert on the other side while in landscape mode. Sometimes an alert is useless without seeing it and currently the warning covers the map!

Can u disable Potholes as an alert? Any small ***** in a road - its being marked as a pothole. Creating unnecessary alerts as users as just looking to gather points. Very distracting to genuine users.
