  1. Add a "Not a Hazard" button

Too many people report cars parked in rest stops and small divots as hazards.

If there was an option to report back to the user that the car or pothole they reported as a hazard shouldn't have been.

The button would compliment the "still there" and "not there" buttons and maybe notify the original reporter if (say) 3 or 5 "Not a Hazard" reports came in.

Users that continue to report incorrect hazards could be blocked from reporting for a month or so.

  2. Near Vicinity Target Versus Specific Address

I don't want to assume, but I have to believe machine learning at Waze is either a thing now or will be soon. To that end a feature I've been imagining for some time might be more easily achieved in the current technological state.

Idea: Since we typically do not drive our vehicles right into the mailbox of a given destination and knowing that, other than homes or small shops, a large percentage, perhaps a vast majority of destinations are large properties with big parking lots. If there was an "I'm here" or "I've Arrived" button, that GPS info…

  3. Allow placing a destination pin on the phone while connected to CarPlay

    Hi Waze team,

I’m a long-time Wazer (5+ years), and I truly appreciate the app. However, I’d like to share some frustrating limitation:

It’s much harder and slower to move around the map and select a custom point on the car screen. On the phone, it takes seconds. Many times I don’t know the exact address — I just want to navigate to a specific point on the map (e.g. a parking spot or entrance nearby). But CarPlay disables this. I have to disconnect CarPlay, set the destination, and reconnect — very inconvenient.

Thanks for all the great work…

  4. הוספת חניה אוטומטית עם פנגו/סלו או האפליקציות המתחרות בתוך הרכב. כך ניתן יהיה

connecting a build in option so on pre-installed cars with WAZE, the car will automatic recognize the parking and pay using visa, or even alert for 20 seconds after shutting down the engine. so when the car is moving, the app will automatically stop paying for the parking. you will own the parking business

  5. Video game mapping display

    Hi all
I’ve recently had the idea for a video game mapping integration. For example when Waze collaborated with such things as halo you would then be able to see all the buildings, parks rivers, beaches in the style of which they appear in game, I believe it would be a cool fun idea to expand this to many different popular video game franchises. I know it wouldn’t be any thing as far as functionality but I feel Waze has done really well at adding a personal touch to the navigation system and I believe this will be the…

  7. Remove parking icons. They hinder ability to see exactly where you’re trying to go in specific instances of massive surrounding carparks.

I literally couldn’t see exactly where the address was because of the 50 or so P icons crowding my screen and i was on a timed response on the job.

  8. Declutter map

There are too many icons that clutters map, such as having 4 or more Traffic Light Cameras or numerous parking options near the destination. Often, the parking suggestions are not even close by, and makes the map very cluttered and difficult to see the route

  9. Use phone orientation to determine initial driving direction

    Problem:
When starting navigation from a stationary position, Waze often assumes my car is facing the direction of the road segment, not my actual heading.
This leads to wrong initial instructions — for example, being told to “turn right” when in reality I need to make a U-turn first because I’m facing the opposite direction.

    Proposed Solution:
Use the phone’s built-in compass and orientation sensors to estimate the initial heading of the vehicle when navigation begins.
In most real-world cases, the phone is positioned facing the same direction as the car (mounted on the dashboard or windshield).
    By using this…

  10. End navigation and announce "You've arrived" once a large site has been reached such as a mall or stadium that is clearly in front of you

Often we use Waze to get to a large site such as a mall or stadium we've never been to before. Once you are on the property, like the parking lot, it's very clear you are at the stadium and no further navigation is needed. However, currently Waze has some default "Destination Point" in these large sites that is arbitrary, and navigation continues even though you can see the site right in front you which can be confusing. Am I here or not? Why is telling me to turn right? Does it matter? etc etc. My suggestion is to…

  11. Stop avoiding intersections with stoplights and routing to dangerous intersections.

I drive rideshare and I am constantly routed away from stoplights only to end up a very busy intersection that Waze wants me to cross or turn left onto a super busy cross-street that have low visibility due to cars parked along the side or large shrubbery. There is usually no way to turn around and I am stuck with having to wait for quite a long time for a safe time to cross or turn into high speed traffic. It seems to me the app is trying to avoid stoplights and I have no way of turning off…

  12. Drop Down Menu

Would it be possible to implement a dropdown menu feature for venue parking? The idea would be that when a user searches for a stadium or concert venue in Waze and selects it, they would then see a menu with all the associated parking lots or garages connected to the venue. This would allow users to quickly choose their preferred lot and streamline navigation to their specific parking destination, making event-day traffic management even smoother.

  13. Contextual road navigation elements

Waze (so far) does not fully account for overall road context in navigation. We've (ie. my partner and I) have found it treating all roads equally when picking a route, whether urban, rural, wide, narrow, usually parrtially blocked by parked cars, etc. So, I suggest adding a set of options to the system and the navigation algorithm which allows weighting by road type. This could be selected or deselected manually by the user, with some default setting sets (ie. "Prefer Highways", "The Scenic Route", etc).

Based on roads we've used, we suggest the following classifications:

    Highway
    Fast-moving multi-lane road…

  14. Rating of gas station services דירוג שרותי תחנות דלק

    Hello,
My name is Sarah Reich and I have four improvements for WAZE.

    2/4:
There are people who use certain gas stations according to the quality of gas or the service, and there are people (e.g. me) who only frequent gas stations with clear bathrooms.
    My suggestion:
Rating gas station with stars. Adding a rating option for the toilets – stars and personal reviews.
Ratings can be added for other specific services, e.g. at the checkout, coffee quality, sitting facilities, parking, etc.

    שלום, שמי שרה רייך,
    ויש לי מספר שדרוגים לוויז.

  15. Directions to a campus or multi-facility area

If you get directions to a campus or multi-facility area, then Waze should ask you what building or parking lot you are interested in when you get close. For example, if I ask for directions to Montgomery College in Rockville, as a I get nearer Waze should ask if there is a particular building or parking lot I need directions to.

  17. Navigation

I use Waze for work as a salesperson. How is it that Waze can navigate me perfectly OUT of a parking lot as I leave a destination but just leads me to the middle of the street, rather than turning me into at least the parking lot, when I’m going to my next destination?
AND, could you consider adding outlines of buildings at addresses so I know which way to head out if the parking lot?
Long-time user, first time suggestor. 😁

  18. Waze tries to send me back to it's initial route rather than calculating options from my current path. i need more characters to explain.

When Waze gives me an initial route it always tries to send me back to that route. For example i was exiting a fast food parking lot and it would be very difficult to go left. I knew there was a route to the right but it wasn't showing up. I turned right anyway and Waze kept trying to turn me around. I thought I finally drove far enough to get the new route, so i listened when it told me to turn right. Long story short, it drove me through a neighborhood, slowly, making many turns, and ended…

  20. Coloured Area Places Based on Type

Much like natural features and parks are green, Waze should build on different coloured area places. Red for Hospitals, Brown/Purple for schools/universities. This would best help with medical and school campuses with different parking lots so it isn’t a sea of grey and also adds a distinguishing view for the driver so to serve as a better landmark on the map.
