Calculate ETA based on own average speed
ETA calculation seems to be based on traffic conditions and general average speed. ETA calculation seems to be inaccurate when driving below the average speed of the road-segment as it keeps increasing while driving with constant (low) speed.
It would be great if ETA calculation would also be accurate for vehicles going below average speeds (e.g. trucks in europe etc.)

I'd like to be able to add a stop along a drive in the Android Auto implementation.
In the normal Waze UI, I can add a stop along my trip. In Android Auto, I cannot do this. The Google Navigation app on Android Auto allows it and makes the UI for such a feature pretty simple to manage.

North = up, but not while driving❗
I'm happy to see that an option to fix North to the up has finally been added (how many years?), thanks to SyberKnight here
💥BUT💥, as it's really great to browse the map (in 2D mode) with fixed North, like a real map, I really don't see the point of fixing the North up while driving. It causes tons of situations where the guidance is unusable (typically when using the phone in portrait and driving to the west, road to come becomes invisible).
So I suggest to add another sub-option: "Follow road direction when driving". If…

New UI prevents sleep after starting a drive
Sleep button used to be accessible via the bottom left menu. Now it’s inside the top right new UI which is not on screen (not clickable) when a drive is started…

Every time I log out of my Waze account on my mobile and then log back in, all my previous history disappears — including the locations I’ve
Every time I log out of my Waze account on my mobile and then log back in, all my previous history disappears — including the locations I’ve searched for and the places I’ve driven to before.
This is very inconvenient because it means I lose all my navigation history and frequently visited destinations each time I sign out.
Please fix this or allow Waze to sync the full history (searches and drives) to the user’s account, so it’s restored automatically after logging back in.

Drive History to include milage data on each trip
It would be so very useful to have the mileage total featured on each drive within the “Drive History” section.
It would be the perfect solution for someone like me logging miles for work and doing my already boring accounts.

Map Cornering Indicator
How about adding a small icon on the main map screen that shows the realistic, scaled angle of upcoming corners?
This little feature could give drivers a much clearer idea of how sharp or gentle the turns are ahead. It would be especially handy in tricky areas with lots of tight turns or in places we’re not familiar with.
I think having an accurate corner scale indicator could help us prepare better for turns, making our drives smoother and safer.

drive scheduling
The only problem with the new "drive scheduling several days in advance" feature is that the display takes so long to refresh after the day is entered and before the hour is entered that I originally thought the program got hung!! I discovered that I have to leave it alone for about a minute, and it will process the command and continue eventually. SO MY SUGGESTION is either to shorten the processing time, OR to display a status message every 10 seconds, so the user knows that the app is still processing and has not hung up.

Improve brightness using Android Auto with MyLink. Waze Brightness does not decrease and causes unsafe driving for the driver.

Waze has been destroyed in the last major update. I don't know where to begin. Please return to prior version.
I dont want to interact with the app in my car every time I drive. No pop up requests for recent drives; I can do that if I want. After that, I dont know where to begin: it is now glacially slow, menu pop ups and excess info on screen, constantly scrolling, every time i pick an option i need to wait for 30 seconds for something to occur. Make Waze continue running in background untill it is turned off
I use my phone for more than just Waze when I'm driving. Waze does not consistently run in the background when I switch to control another app (even when I'm driving on the highway at 65 mph). I'd really like to see an option in settings to keep Waze active until I manually exit. Alternatively, how about an option that keeps Waze active as long as my phone is in the car dock?

Join a drive
you should have an option to join a friends drive (like on Spotify how you join someone’s jam), so when you’re picking up a friend or when you have a passenger they can join your drive and add a stop without you having to pull over to use your phone

Conditional use of toll roads if saves more than set percentage of time
I live in Northern Virginia (US) where we have a growing network of high occupancy toll (HOT) lanes paralleling existing roads. These come up as separate roads in Waze as they have their own on ramps and off ramps. Just to make them more fun, they have variable tolling so when traffic is more congested on the "free" lanes the toll lanes cost goes higher. The speed limit is also higher on the toll lanes so they always come out as preferred over the regular lanes for navigation.
The current Waze app allows selection to avoid or not avoid toll…

Specify how many miles or hours you want to drive a day and get suggestions
Let's say I'm traveling from Tampa, FL to Denver, CO, and I only want to drive 8 hours per day. I would like Waze to suggest where I should stop (city), lodging near an interstate and even restaurants/happy hours. You should be able to specify hours or miles a day.

Route stops editing
The existing ability to “add stop” is great but, if this is done in error, there is no way to edit the list of stops or re-arrange the list without cancelling the drive and re-doing it. Which in affect, messes with the drive history which I use to log my business mileage.
Please add the ability to edit your drive and stops: add a stop, edit a stop, rearrange stops, delete a stop.

Allow "Map Problem" UR reporting using the 'Talk to report' feature to assist user to leave a UR while driving.
Currently the 'Talk to report' feature allows for reporting road hazards but does not allow for reporting 'Map Problems' such as 'incorrect speed limit' or 'no u-turn allowed.'
As a volunteer map editor, if I could tap the report button and say, "Drop UR here for ... " to open a UR with the UR type listed as 'Voice report' and the UR comment pre-filled with the voice to text input from the report, then I would be able to fix 90% more of the map problems that I notice while driving every day.11 votes
