  1. Option to always notify speed cameras

    The idea is to add an option to notify when there is a speed camera either always or only when you are speeding (which is the default currently). Some times you can speedup a bit near the camera and you will get the ticket.
    With this option you will know the location of all the speed cameras and will be able to decide whether to accelerate or not depending if there is or not a camera.

  3. Add notifications when entering (and leaving) an average speed zone and show average speed

  4. Fixed speed camera alert stuck on screen bug

    As soon as I get close to a fixed speed camera the on screen alert for that that appears on the left side of the screen gets stuck there for the whole trip. This is annoying because I can't get alerts for new speed cameras that I encounter during the same trip.

  5. Map icon indicator showing destination is on the left side or right side

    When approaching your destination, there needs to be a Left side or Right side indicator icon on the map. I live in a city where there's a 3-4 lane one-way road and is frustrating when I'm approaching my destination and it doesn't tell me if it's going to be on the left side or right side. I don't use the map voice so that's not an option. Please do not tell me this feature exists when it doesn't.

  6. Add average speed zone indication on screen to Android auto

    In Android auto the average speed zone is announced by voice but there is no indication on screen like in the "normal" waze. So you don't know how long the zone is and if you respect the speed.

  7. Custom Speed Threshold for Radar Alerts (SPAIN)

    Waze should allow users to set a custom speed threshold for radar alerts. Currently, it only warns when exceeding the limit, but for those without cruise control, it’s easy to unintentionally speed up just before passing a camera. A feature to get a warning slightly below the limit (e.g., at 115 km/h in a 120 km/h zone) would help prevent accidental fines and improve road safety.

  8. Speed camera, police and booze bus

    Have speed camera, police and booze buses as all different icons so people can tell the difference between them. 1 icon for all police isn't specific enough.

  9. CHANGE SPEED CAMERA AND RED LIGHT CAMERA ICONS BACK TO THE OLD ICON OR GIVE US THE OPTION TO CHOOSE.

    Waze changed the speed camera and red light camera icon on the map and it’s so much harder to see now.

    Just got a ticket for going 2 mph over the speed limit because I didn’t see the camera on my map

  10. Defferent speed limit for different vehicles

    I'd like to tell waze what vehicle I'm driving so when I'm on a single dual carriageway it knows I can only do 50mph and 60mph on a dual carriageway.

  11. Police speed trap trends

    Instead of only showing current police speed traps, have a toggle options for where police tend to sit and wait. "police hot zone" kind of idea. "police have been reported at this time for the last three days" kind of warning. This will not only help avoid tickets, but get people to slow down in the more "dangerous" areas

    Speed shows 335 km/h while carplay is connected and the car is at 80km/h. If I disconnected carplay the speed in my phone is perfect.

    I would like to ask for the following feature to be added to make things clearer for UK drivers.

    Add an additional notification icon for use in the UK which will allow us to distinguish between POLICE and POLICE SPEED TRAPS. UK drivers don't seem to understand that the POLICE icon is for POLICE SPEED TRAPS, and not just for whenever they see a POLICE car, and as they panic every time they see a police car they want…

  16. Repeat alerts for speed over the limits

    This is of absolute importance. Add an optional setting to repeat the speed alert sound continuously, until vehicle returns to the normal speed limit, rather than just playing a single alert. One time alert is not correct, since it may not be heard. Add optional feature to override system sound, in case system volume is low, so alert will be heard. Add also alert sounds to be chosen for speed alert.

  17. Announcements depending on speed

    I recommend that Waze adjust the "trigger distance" for pre-alerts when traveling quickly.

    For example, currently Waze pre-alerts "In one-tenth of a mile ..." regardless of speed.

    If you are driving 60 MPH, you cover the one-tenth of a mile in a mere 6-seconds ... by that time, Waze is already alerting you (AGAIN) that it's time to make the turn.

    I'm all for voice alerts ... but when the app gabs for 10-seconds straight because of back-to-back announcements, eh....

  18. have a countdown of kilometres based on the speed limit when going into a tunnel

    Any time you drive into a tunnel that goes underground the GPS thinks you’re above the ground and starts changing the directions as it thinks you’re above the ground on the Street level when underground in the tunnel so if you need to then go 20 km in the tunnel and there’s various exits. How do you know how far you’ve driven in order to get to your exit underground when it’s recalculating because it thinks you’re above the ground and never figures it out that you’re actually still in the tunnel. So maybe have an option where people can…

  19. change speed bump to traffic calming device

    There are many different devices used to slow vehicles other than speed bumps. Other examples include chicanes, roundabouts, splitter islands, entrance treatment, speed pillows, speed humps and intersection humps. I'm sure there are others too.

    The speed bump permanent hazard would fit all of these other types of methods used to slow vehicles down but if we add a speed bump where there technically isn't a speed bump we confuse the wazer and likely will generate unnecessary URs.

    If we changed the name from speed bump to 'traffic calming device' (my suggestion), we easily fit all these slow-down methods and…

  20. Voice countdown to speed cameras (like radarbot)

    It would be a massive benefit to have a countdown to speed cameras and the associated speed limit to be sounded very 50m or so when approaching any camera on route.

    See Radarbot. Very useful but would be great in Waze.
