1. Turn on or off warnings in cruise like speed bomps school zones

   When there is no route defined and I only cruise with waze on, I don't see any speed bomps or similar warnings

2. Premium user / tipping users for correctly placed speed traps

   It would be nice to give some incentive to users to actually use correctly this app.

   What do i mean by that?

   1. The first and most dangerous obviously it is a speed trap. I would give immediately my half of speeding ticket to users that saved me from that.
   2. More users would be drawn to the Waze and we could have more information, because there is a reward for being useful
   3. We could have hotspots, that means, zones where is frequently reported some police activity, even if it isn't reported today, beware it might be something.

   I would happily pay monthly subscription for better service, after all you have to pay fines and lose your licence, what is some monthly fee for better info?

3. Body mass index and cardiorespiratory fitness in MSers: Yes, it matters

   Abstract

   OBJECTIVE:

   This study examined body fatness and its association with cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) in persons with multiple sclerosis (pwMS) accounting for disability status.

   MATERIALS AND METHODS:

   This study involved a secondary data analysis from a previous study of 62 pwMS. Body fatness was indirect measured as body mass index (BMI), and CRF was measured as peak oxygen consumption from an incremental exercise test with spirometry. Participants were allocated into 3 different groups based on established BMI categories (ie, normal, overweight, and obese), and data were analyzed using SPSS.

   RESULTS:

   The average BMI was 27.0 (6.7) kg/m2 , and CRF was 19.5 (7.2) mL/kg/min. There was an inverse correlation (pr = -.38 [-.57; -.14]; P = .003) between BMI and CRF controlling for age, sex, disease duration, and disability level. ANCOVA with linear contrast analysis revealed a statistical significant reduction in CRF between groups of different BMI categories; normal weight 20.8 (0.85); overweight 19.8 (1.13); and obese 16.9 (1.73) mL/kg/min; F (2, 55) = 3.33, P = .043; η2 = .11.

   CONCLUSIONS:

   The findings suggest that BMI has a negative impact on CRF in pwMS, with a marked reduction in CRF for those classified as obese compared to those in the normal and overweight category.

4. Dynamically configure waze session based on Bluetooth connection (for motorbike/car/truck)

   Certain apps have the ability to detect what Bluetooth device is connected.

   My suggestion is to allow users to pre-configure different Bluetooth connections to different vehicular modes, for example, a Bluetooth headset may be used on a motorbike and therefore Waze could detect that this Bluetooth connection is present and set itself for motorbike mode, likewise, an in-car radios own Bluetooth connection could be configured for a car, and finally, a different Bluetooth connection could also be configured for a truck, I envisaged then that this would allow users to predefine certain options like toll passes, low emission zones and parking restrictions etc. All based on the current Bluetooth connection method.

   For example, motorbikes are allowed toll-free within low emission zones and also are free within toll roads, this could be allowed to dynamically configure routing for the motorbike where it will be optimal to use tolls as they are free, whereas for cars, there may be a toll pass required, or for trucks certain roads are impassable, again, this all could be dynamically pre-configured by the user depending on what device it is connected to on Bluetooth.

   Currently, the user interface for changing between cars and motorbikes and adjusting any toll or highway settings is very cumbersome and requires a lot of user input to change between the two. Also, this may lead to unexpected charges if a motorbike user forgets to change Waze from motorbike mode (where tolls are free) and inadvertently uses Waze while still configured for motorbike mode while driving a car.

   The clunky user interface does not invite users to easily change between the two.

   Furthermore, the ability to easily change between different vehicular modes allows users to pre-configure. For example, a motorbike may not wish to go on a motorway where as the same owner may wish to drive their car on a motorway. Having the ability to pre-configure motorbike to car to truck depending on Bluetooth connection method I feel is a useful system update

6. More applicable hazard icons to use.

   Simple construction icons, closed road should be easier, should be able to mark hazard zones on map after you have driven past.
   Try find some icons…..they don’t make sense where they are, we should be able to crate/move icons to use.

7. ADHD-friendly ETA for the chronically late!

   I'd really love if I could customise my drives not based on my past driving but to build in a buffer time (like add 5-10% to expected journey time, for example).

   Part of the reason I like Waze so much is probably related to the fact I have ADHD and the instructions and clearly stated ahead of time ("...in 800m, turn right") and then repeated ("...in 200m, turn right").

   Possibly because of that ADHD, I really struggle with being on time and poorly estimate how long things will take me. I try to build in a mental buffer, but because I know I've done that, it often doesn't work. This also means any past data on my driving is likely based on a journey where I was running late!

   A navigation app where I could toggle on a buffer would be best, especially as a percentage which is not so intuitive that I'd unconsciously reverse-engineer it and mentally deduct those extra 7 minutes or whatever it might be the app added on to my predicted driving time.

   I expect that seems a highly specific feature request, but it occurred to me that the Waze features that appeal to me might be ADHD-related and therefore, the app might actually have a higher than average number of ADHD users.

8. Messages pour les vitesses limites

   1. Alertes : remplacer les bips par des messages vocaux adaptés : Exemple : “Attention ralentisseur dans 200 m vitesse 30 km/h” “Attention fort ralentissement à 500 m sur votre trajet” “Attention zone de contrôle à 500 m, réduisez votre vitesse à 80 km/h” “Attention un véhicule est arrêtés dans 1 km”
   2. Pour les changement de vitesse limite : Lors d'un changement de limite de vitesse, une message vocal indique l'action et la vitesse à atteindre et la distance du changement : "Ralentissez à 70 km/h dans 200 mètres" "Vous pouvez maintenant rouler à 110km/h" quand la vitesse autorisée augmente.
   3. Remplacer le bip peu audible par un message vocal indique l'action et la vitesse à atteindre lorsque que je dépasse la limite de vitesse : "Ralentissez à 70 km/h" “Vous dépassez la vitesse autorisée, ralentissez à 30 km/h”
   4. Différencier les bips selon les dangers et ajouter un message vocal pour indiquer l’action à effectuer si possible.
   5. Différencier le volume des alertes de sécurité et de vitesse, plus fort que les indications de navigation et proposer plusieurs niveaux sonores à régler dans les paramètres personnalisés en fonction des catégories.
   6. Permettre de personnaliser les bips et les messages d’alerte : Je suis plus attentif aux alertes sonores qu’aux alertes visuelles quand je regarde la route.

   7 .Permettre d'enregistrer notre propre voix pour certains messages ou pour remplacer les bips

   Que ce soit dans les zones denses ou moins denses, pouvoir se diriger efficacement vers une place à mobilité réduite (temporaire ou permanente) serait un vrai plus pour les personnes concernées ou aidantes. On peut supposer que les algorithmes peuvent repérer automatiquement les panneaux de ces places via les captures street view, pour les intégrer en base de données carto. Cordialement

10. Landscape functionality and ongoing waze issues

    1. Never block speedometer including with photo request, sped limit reached, text box. Never!
    2. Return and always keep speedometer in bottom left corner - currently often blocked including when speed reached which increases chance of speeding (landscape use). Squish main screen and do not cover with limit reached warning.
    3. Adjustable text size and speedometer size independently. Shrink window for police and other notifications to show under content and have banner push up to shrink... currently banner pushed speedometer up which is blocked by directions s panel (landscape use).
    4. Allow AI camera report and via voice.
    5. Remove default route pop up and click ok to go to destination! Enterered destination should go to directly or with 5 second go now timer. Not with 2 or 3 clicks... Remove need to touch phones with AI camera now on the roads for touching phones.
    6. Have photo request opt out or move it to appear over map right of direction panel (landscape use)
    7. Remove or move adverts when on to not cover speed limit (landscape use)
    8. Improve landscape use functionality when in splitscreen (work requirements... Above points all help.
    9. Centre map faster after touched navigation to view route ahead.
    10. Always keep goole voice button top right, currently removed on some screens including expanded directions.
    11. Send address with report for incorrect address - currently user required to remember what address a month later when a map editor is ready to fix it.
    12. Allow add stop voice command.
    13. Allow 2 add stop.
    14. Show total time for two stops.
    15. Allow carried speed zones for different times to be created (Victoria and or Australia). We have so many split speed zones such as one zone may be 40km at 7am to 9pm mon to Fri and to 5pm on weekends and 60km after those hours. It will help since spedi is always red and hard to read at the times outside of the specified time zone. Also make Speedo bolder.
    16. Return bold bigger text to destination location after entered to be easier to read while driving.
    17. Stop blocking the spedo. Yes I mentioned it but it's the most important feature of any.
    18. Don't ever remove audible speed alert.
    19. Remove so many clicks when destination entered and need to touch the phone.

    These have been a long time coming and have be the worst of user experience with the app. I use this landscape and landscape splitscreen for work. I only use this app. The functionality of the app has gotten worse with time and has not been improved at all in many of these areas. It would be nice to use my phone without being required to touch it when I give a destination and without concern to speed because I can't see the Speedo due to a pop up or poor text box scaling with added info (that can be returned to the right of the location box if required, or above and shrink screen with critical information. Currently to see spedo better I must increase the font or banner size or something in the phone. This increases the challenges already faced, so being able to adjust in Waze independently would be amazing.

    Also, update fixed camera locations. M1 in Victoria still hasn't had cameras marked for the past three years and they've been there a lot longer than that. When other stuff comes back to mind I'll pass them on here. But if you see my screenshots you'd see how **** it is, and I can easily explain a fix that would solve it.

14. problèmes avec android auto depuis la derniere mise à jour

    Bonjour, depuis la derniere mise à jour android auto, je rencontre pas mal de bugs avec l'application.
    mon véhicule n'est pas équipé d'un écran tactile mais d'une molette et il n'est plus possible de confirmer ou infirmer un signalement car je n'arrive plus à positionner et verrouiller le choix "toujours là" ou "pas là" car ça "saute"sans arrêt, et cela rend impossible la selection.
    De plus il faut beaucoup tourner la molette et dans un sens contraire à la logique pour tenter d'aller sur la zone de signalement à confirmer. c'est pénible et c'est aussi dangereux car on quitte la route des yeux trop longtemps pour voir sur quel item se positionne la molette à chaque cran. Auparavant c'était très intuitif et il n'y avait pas ce obligation de quitter des yeux la route.
    En plus d'être dangereux, cela fonctionne mal.

    2ème problème : auparavant on pouvait par défaut en mode navigation, positionner par défaut la sélection sur l'icône de signalement, ce qui permettait d'une touche sur l'écran ou d'un appui sur la molette de signaler qqch sans chercher ou tourner la molette pour aller sur l'icône. C'était un gain de temps et un bon point pour la sécurité car on pouvait faire un signalement instantanément sans quitter la route des yeux. rapide, efficace et non dangereux.
    Maintenant le selecteur se met par défaut sur l'icône de la recherche et même si on le positionner sur une autre icône à l'écran, il finit toujours par se remettre toute seule et automatiquement sur l'icône "recherche".

    Je pense qu'il serait bon de corriger ces points
    De plus l'ergonomie a perdu avec trop de choses affichées

    Me and the most of the users are using Waze for the receive alerts and initiate alerts. Right now, I see a major issue with the way of these alerts are implemented by you developers’ team.

    Example: Now, when there is an event on the map (a police report per example) we receive the alert on the map and the message. There are also a pop-up windows to confirm if the event is still there or nor. This pop-up starts with the moment the alert came and is disappear in the location of the event. This is the opposite of the correct behavior. How can I confirm if the event is still there, until I will arrive in the point of the event (I can check only when I will reach the location)? And when I will reach the event point, I cannot use the Waze app because is police there and the main activity for us is to safety drive, not to manipulate the smartphone to confirm the event.

    So, the useful and the correct way to implement this is in this way:

    1. the event is reported on the map

    2. when the driver arrives in the point where the event is reported, only then, the pop-up window for the confirmation of the event will appearing

    3. the pop-up window will stay on the display util the driver will make 400-500 m after the event zone

    In this way, we can confirm if the event is still there and we can do it in a safe way.

    Me and the most of the users are using Waze for the receive alerts and initiate alerts. Right now, I see a major issue with the way of these alerts are implemented by you developers’ team.

16. Precisione gps per i civici

    Utilizzo Waze quotidianamente per il mio lavoro di tassista, e sebbene sia uno degli strumenti più popolari per la navigazione, ci sono diversi aspetti che meritano attenzione.

    Punti positivi:
    • L’interfaccia è semplice e facile da usare, e la possibilità di segnalare traffico o incidenti in tempo reale è molto utile. Inoltre, è una risorsa valida per evitare ingorghi e percorrere strade più veloci quando possibile.

    Punti negativi:
    • Imprecisione con i numeri civici: Una delle problematiche più frequenti che riscontro è che Waze non sempre riesce a identificare correttamente i numeri civici delle strade. Questo può portare a problemi, soprattutto quando si deve raggiungere un indirizzo preciso. A volte, la destinazione indicata non corrisponde esattamente a quella che ci si aspetta, il che può creare confusione, soprattutto in città con numerazioni poco chiare.
    • Strade più lunghe senza motivo apparente: Ci sono volte in cui Waze suggerisce percorsi più lunghi rispetto a quelli che sembrerebbero più logici. Sebbene questo non accada sempre, può essere frustrante, soprattutto quando si ha fretta o si vuole ottimizzare il percorso per il cliente.
    • Destinazioni sbagliate: In alcune occasioni, Waze mi ha fatto arrivare in zone che non erano quella corretta, o ha suggerito una strada che, pur essendo nel raggio di destinazione, non era quella giusta per arrivare a un punto preciso.

    Conclusioni:
    Nonostante i difetti, Waze rimane comunque una scelta utile per i tassisti grazie alla sua funzionalità di aggiornamenti in tempo reale e la facilità di utilizzo. Tuttavia, è importante essere consapevoli delle sue imprecisioni, soprattutto in merito ai numeri civici e alla scelta di percorsi che non sempre sono i più efficienti.

17. I'd like to be able to add construction locations in the editor or on the live map.

    We would like to request the addition of a feature to allow construction zones and one-way alternating traffic to be added directly on Waze Live Map or the Waze Map Editor.

    Currently, construction information added via the app often disappears after a while, making it difficult to provide consistent warnings to drivers.

    If such information could be officially registered and maintained during the construction period through Live Map or the Map Editor, it would greatly benefit users and enhance safety. We kindly ask for your consideration in implementing this feature.

18. Speed Light Camera, Temporary Speed Trap, unmanned Police vehicles need ability to add these

    With road construction going on around the nation, it's unfortunate that we still do not have the ability to add speed light cameras, or temporary speed traps that are common here in PA through construction zones. There also seems to be an increase in unmanned police vehicles sitting behind the k-rails running speed traps. It would be nice to have the ability to alert others. But also would be better if it was the same interface as it is for the police so save time digging through options looking for the one we want while on the road.

    I would like to propose an additional visual alert system for speed and red-light cameras within Waze. The idea is to introduce a transparent red overlay that flashes on the screen as drivers approach a camera location.

    This feature would serve as a strong visual cue, especially for users who may not always be actively looking at their GPS display or listening to audio directions. The flashing overlay would draw immediate attention and help ensure drivers are more aware of upcoming enforcement zones.

    To keep the experience user-friendly and adaptable, I recommend that this alert be offered as an optional setting within the app, allowing users to enable or disable it according to their preference.
