GPS availability recheck
When connected to Android Auto while phone's GPS is not turned on, Waze does not recognize, that GPS is turned on later and it is needed to disconnect from Android Auto and connect again. I would appreciate if Waze could somehow re-check GPS availability. Button, touch, time period...
Typical case: GPS is turned off in the phone. It is turned on automatically by the routine when phone detects car's bluetooth or wifi. When Waze starts earlier then GPS is turned on, it is impossible to use it. Thank you.2 votes -
Make Waze compatible with AndroidAuto Coolwalk.
Waze is not yet working on full screen with Coolwalk beta of Android Auto. Google Maps is doing that already.

Increase selected button visibility on Android Auto
When using Waze on Android Auto (new Mazda) the buttons are selected using the touch wheel. The selection is indicated by a thicker frame around the buttons. While driving, this marking is hardly detectable. Instead a more significant colour or cycling colour pattern would help to find the selected button.
Another problem on my Mazda head unit is that it is nearly impossible to select the answer on the popup if a given event is still present or not. Using the touch wheel I'm hardly able to select yes or no, because the marking is not visible at all. This…

Possiblity to use Waze on an android device with physical buttons instead of touch screen
I have an android head unit with a non touch screen, I have installed Waze but I can not navigate in the app menu. The headunit buttons are not responsive.

Deep links not working when connected through android auto
I have some Tasker actions for auto navigating to several favourites using deep links. However, when connected to Android auto the deeplinks seem to be ignored and not working. If I manually open a deep link on my phone it does work.

Option to disable drive now popup on startup
Please add option to disable drive now popup window on every startup on android auto. Very annoying to have to tap x on screen everytime I start my car.

We love WAZE, but it would be so much better on the big screen. Please develop for APPLE CAR PLAY and Android whatever those people use...lol...

new version is a mess!!! do not connect with android auto
Hi!
What did you do to the application after a new version since April?
1) it does not connect with android auto to see the app on the car screen
2) to use the car screen you have to generate the route from the phone and then connect to the car
3) the icons in wase are very small that they do not allow an easy visualization and not with the same order that we were used to
4) It is very slow when you want to move the map with your fingers, it is not fast or effective

Sound to Car Infotainment Connection Test Button
Setting up / integrating WAZE with a car's infotainment system has a large number of variables with cable, Bluetooth and WiFi being examples. It would be really handy to have a test button that would run through WAZE's range of warnings to test such connections in a stationary vehicle.

Android Auto notification display issue
The notification pop up blocks the road and the arrow. I can't see where I'm going (not in navigate mode) and I have to force close the notification pop up so I can see my map again. Please fix, this is a safety issue!

Default app on android
A lot of apps use a google maps url to start the navigation from the app. Usually Google maps will then be started by Android. I would like to use Waze to be the default app instead of google maps, which can be achieved through the app settings and allow it to open the supported web links. But this list of supported web links is very short, especially when comparing it to Google maps. Always-Visible Destination in Android Auto Navigation
I’d like to suggest a feature improvement for Android Auto navigation. Currently, once a destination is selected, the system immediately switches to turn-by-turn directions, and the destination name or address is no longer visible on the screen. This becomes an issue when a wrong destination is accidentally selected, and it’s only realized partway through the drive.
It would be very helpful if the destination (name and/or address) could be displayed persistently somewhere on the screen—either at the top or bottom—throughout the navigation. This would allow drivers to quickly verify the destination without needing to tap or search through menus, which…

Android Auto - layout
The rectangle with the indications uses almost half of the screen and reduces a lot the visualisation of the map. I think that it can be reduced or displaced to the lower left corner.

Pinch to zoom on CarPlay
I just switched from android phone from android auto to an iPhone CarPlay. The pinch to zoom option is available on Android Auto, and I was surprised that the CarPlay Waze for iPhone can’t do this. I would love the pitch to zoom option for Waze on CarPlay.
The option that is available is very distracting and cumbersome when using the plus and minus buttons on the Waze app.Please make the pinch zoom available on CarPlay for Waze and quickly for the safety of your users.

Add setting option to keep navigation on phone when using Android Auto.
I keep my phone by the steering wheel so my eyes do not leave the road. Android Auto is for my passengers. I don't look at it while driving! Many people are like me. I even downgraded my Waze to get past this issue. But the downgrade no longer works! So I have to disable Android Auto to safely use Waze!!!!!

Please give me back my LONG PRESS SEARCH BUTTON on Android
I use a voice assistant that is activated by a Long Press of my Seach Button. When Waze is active that button is not available (it opens up a Waze Menu). Anyway to deactivate that so I can use my Virtual Assistant while Waze is active?

Support for 10.25 android car screens
The app does not support the ultra wide screen. The bottom line of buttons are hugely covered due to not fitting on screen. There needs to be a smaller text option or a different layout. Can this be done?
