Either allow users to disable popup notifications, or reduce the amount of screen real-estate used to display it
Popups for slow-downs in traffic, traffic cameras, etc may be useful, but why not condense the information into a smaller area which doesnt obstruct ones view of the route. Secondly, why do I need to see the same notification repeatedly when I've already acknowledged it for the first time?

Optional "no map" (trip computer) view when route is known
8 out of 10 times I use Waze driving to and from work, a route I know very well so I don't need Waze to show me my position on the map.
What I instead would like is a "trip computer" kind of interface, showing me things like my current speed, current speed limit (if known), maybe a color code for traffic ahead on route (green, yellow, red), ETA, current road name (nice to have, not need to have - I know where I am), live updates of incidents (needs to update themselves automatically), textual navigation instructions like "turn right…15 votes -
Stop Alterts Reducing - option to turn off familiarity capping
WAZE stores undeletable drive history to determine user's “usual routes”. This history can't be deleted by clearing the drive history in privacy settings. The history stops users receiving permanent ‘driving behaviour’ camera alerts on identified "usual routes" - regardless of user alert settings. WAZE even stops showing ‘driving behaviour’ cameras at all (such as phone and seatbelt cameras) on the map on usual routes, regardless of user alert settings. This is a major fail. Users will naturally forget about these cameras and be exposed to fines, all the while having no idea that WAZE has stopped alerting…

General map editing fixes
When it comes to submitting a claim that part of the map is incorrect, the Waze contributor that contacts me speaks to me in a one-way conversation. I have no ability to text back, so he says that "no the map is fine" but he doesn't know that the recently there was construction and a new speed camera was installed. time estimation before/immediate and making it better
time estimation has been roughly a little wrong cause the it doesn’t take into matter any traffic light and how much that traffic light is taking to open so if there is a way of knowing where traffic lights are for example like when we report a camera we should also be able to report a traffic light and the program estimates every time that the traffic light opens by the cars moving in every time of the day until it collects the right amount of data and know what time it opens and closes and of course it has…

Bring back old style warning/notifications in the upper part of the display
The latest update brought us a new style of warnings. In previous versions, the warnings were color coded (green = speed/redlight camera, blue = police, and so on) and were shown in the upper part of the map/display.
With the latest update, the warnings were moved to the bottom of the screen and in some not so flashy colors, and they easily blend with the rest of the app layout, making it harder to visualize them when looking through the corner of your eye (as to not lose sight of the road ahead). ALERTS - NOTIFICATION ADVANCED BASED ON ACTUAL SPEED, NOT AT FIXED DISTANCES.
Reduce notification distance (based on speed limits, best on current average speed, better on a setting based on current average speed).
It often happens me that on city roads the navigator gives me informations about three crossroads ahead causing confusion.
I hear "traffic light with camera" I expect it to be the very next traffic light, not the the one after that.
Or "railroad crossing ahead" and I turn on a road 100m before the railroad (using waze just for map, not for actual navigation).

There should be a facility to enter an estimated time that roadworks will be present. The site could be linked to a pop uo question similar to the speed cameras, 'not here??' This would allow others to confirm when the roadworks were finished. '

Displaying the sections where the speed of travel from point A to point B is recorded by the cameras of the Toll system for vignettes.
Hello Bulgaria, but not only Bulgaria. Since the beginning of September 2025, the toll system that monitors purchased vignettes has started measuring average speed in certain sections of the road network.
Unfortunately, these road sections are not marked on the road itself, and drivers have no way of knowing that they are entering these sections.
The state, represented by the Road Agency and the Toll System, published a list and map on their website showing where these sections are located, and that was the end of the information on this change.

Crosswalk Alert (Visual + Optional Voice)
Marked pedestrian crosswalks are among the highest-risk points where vehicles and pedestrians interact, especially at night, during poor weather, or in areas with weak lighting.
Introducing a Crosswalk Alert — a small on-screen icon with an optional short voice cue such as “Pedestrian crossing ahead” — would provide drivers with earlier situational awareness without affecting routing. Activated only on verified crosswalks, this alert would function similarly to existing permanent notifications such as speed bump warnings, hazard alerts, camera notifications, and other fixed safety cues.

Congestion Charge
Can you please install a warning (like with speed cameras and speed limits) that shows up when you are approaching a congestion charge zone? Also, the option to colour the CCZ map in red so you are aware of what roads to avoid? Got bitten by this with a PCN and was only one small road just off the ring road! At least a ‘speed limit style warning’ will give you an ability to know to pay before being fined!
