1. Enable users in Uganda to map out the new speed limits on the roads and get alerts when they are driving above the speed limit

   New speed limits have been implemented in Uganda alongside electronic speed ticketing. There are little to no speed limit signs so this would help people monitor and adhere to speed limits during a commute.

   The feature required is the ability to map the speed limits so we can crowd source the information

2. Speed ceiling, the ultimate economical & ecological function !!

   Allowing us to set a speed limit / ceiling in the preferences (for example 80km/h), then Waze calculates automatically straighter, shorter roads with lower speed limits because it knows we ride slower and so we won't go at full speed on highways. It will also give a correct ETA. For typically one hour more than a 4 hour trip on highway road, we can have less kilometers to run, a way better fuel consumption because of the lower speed, and prettier roads with less traffic !!! Perfect for old cars, or small motorcycles !! We need this so much in France, even for modern cars when it has a better consumption at 100km/h than 130km/h, because highways are really boring and often longer than a combination of "nationales" and "départementales" with decent speed limit.

3. Maximal speed setting for each type of road

   My employer wants me to respect the below maximal speed :
   - 110 km/h when limited to 130 km/h,
   - 100 km/h when limited to 110 km/h,
   - 80 km/h on bidirectionnal road limited to 90km/h.
   I would like to be able to define these parameters in order to optimize my route.

4. Display actual GPS speed and not car’s info

   When connected to CarPlay the speed on the supposedly gps speed in Waze always shows a 1km/h difference compared to that on the speedometer (at least in my case)
   When NOT connected to CarPlay the difference is larger. At 90 km/h on the speedometer the speed in Waze is 85 km/h and at 140 the speed on Waze is 130. (Actual GPS speed)
   When connecting to CarPlay a message says that the phone will use selected data from the car and this includes the car’s speed. However, this value is not accurate.
   My request is for me to be able to choose whether or not to use car’s data or the data from my phone’s gps. I know this is not exclusive to Waze and is present in every app with some kind of speed value, so it’s not up to you for fixing it, but I’ll take my chance :)

5. Radar de velocidade média - average speed radar

   It would be interesting, in these new “average speed” radars, that along the section in question, the green progression bar that appears in the application on the left side would turn red whenever the vehicle exceeds the allowed average. Here's the tip.

   Seria interessante, nestes novos radares de “velocidade média”, que ao longo do troço em questão, a barra de progressão verde que aparece na aplicação do lado esquerdo passasse a vermelho sempre que o veículo ultrapassasse a média permitida. Fica a dica.

6. Allow users to suggest speed limit corrections

   Currently, speed limits on the map can only be updated by map editors. This process is slow, especially when the main source of information, like Google Street View, is outdated. This leads to inaccurate speed limits or missing data on many road segments.
   This suggestion is to add a new reporting option that allows any user to suggest a correction to the speed limit. This would not directly change the speed limit on the map, but it would create a "pending edit" for map editors to review and approve.
   How it would work:
   A new "Map Issue" report could be introduced, allowing users to report an "Incorrect Speed Limit." When this option is selected, the user would be prompted to press a button at the start of the road segment where the new speed limit sign is located, and another button at the end of the segment where the speed limit changes again. This way, the system can automatically determine the exact length of the segment that needs to be corrected. This report would then be flagged for review by local map editors.
   Benefits of this feature:
   • Faster updates: Allows for quicker corrections of outdated speed limits, as thousands of users can provide real-time data from the road.
   • Improved map accuracy: Ensures that the displayed speed limits are always current and correct, leading to a safer and more reliable navigation experience.
   • Empowered community: Gives all Waze users a direct way to contribute to the accuracy of the map, beyond just reporting hazards.
   • Reduced workload for editors: Editors would no longer have to manually search for outdated segments. Instead, they would only need to verify and approve user-submitted changes, making their work more efficient.
   This feature would bridge the gap between static map data and real-time road conditions, making Waze even more accurate and community-driven.

   Thank you for your suggestion! As you may know, Waze already displays a speedometer, including both your driving speed and the speed limit for the road you’re currently on.

8. CHANGE SPEED CAMERA AND RED LIGHT CAMERA ICONS BACK TO THE OLD ICON OR GIVE US THE OPTION TO CHOOSE.

   Waze changed the speed camera and red light camera icon on the map and it’s so much harder to see now.

   Just got a ticket for going 2 mph over the speed limit because I didn’t see the camera on my map

9. During radar warning speed limit is not visible

   During radar warning the "current speedlimit" is shifted above and disappears under the "next direction change information". Then you can not see the speed you are actually driving during the speed control, this please needs improvement.

10. Being able to customise/modify the sound for the speed limit alert

    The sound for the speed limit alert is too weak. It'd be nice to have an option to change the tone for this alert.

    Personally I want it to be as obtrusive and as obnoxious as possible

11. Speed bump notification not working well

    I am using Waze for navigation and speed bumbs notifications not appeard on my screen while navigating while it is working well with other users using the same route and at the same time, I suggest to solve this issue if other users face the same issue, and I suggest to make the speed bumbs notifications works even if I use the same way multiple times in the day.

12. have a "slow vehicle" type with a CUSTOM TOP SPEED

    I drive antique vehicles which are often slow but i don't mind driving on highways so dont want to check "avoid freeways", i would just like that the navigtion algorythm takes my top speed (50mph for one car 65 for the other one) into account when calculating the route.
    this could be set in the "type of vehicles" menu, select "special" and have a customizable "top speed".
    then, even on a 80mph road, waze would only consider i'll make 50 and maybe reroute me on a shorter path !
    
    If you want to go further you could even set a "garage" in wich we set each of our our vehicles (cars, motorbikes, ...), their fuel and their top speed. it would popup at the app launch, and at travel planing, and allow us to keep all settings in memory.

13. SPLIT: I don’t like that others can see my speed

    I don’t like that others can see my speed if I use that part of the app so I can watch my speed. Can authorities access that info ever??? Because I do speed sometimes and I don’t want others seeing or recording my speed...

15. I would like the app to display speed limits as I drive.

    I would like the map navigation to display the speed limit as I drive.
    Warning sounds if I exceed limits.
    Also the ability to customize how much over the speed limit the warning should sound.
    Also, to see the sky into top foreground as it would appear according to earths rotation.

16. Temporary recording of speed and location

    Please add a setting where you can record the last 2-5-10 minutes of a commute with speed, location and a timestamp. This could allow us to help defend ourselves against police errors. Ive been pulled over twice this year on the highway whit the cruise set to 120kph and the police told me they snapped me a 138 and 130 witch is not possible. It would be nice to have some kind of proof to back me up in the future. People could set this up when creating the account or even disable it for more speed in the app but people like me could use the temporary file to avoid abuse

18. Give us a target speed in traffic jams to help Waze users optimize average throughput

    I recently read this article: http://www.bbc.com/autos/story/20160428-how-ai-will-solve-traffic-part-one

    It talks about how going slower and keeping more space between your car and other cars can actually improve the flow of traffic when it's all jammed up. It also explains how autonomous cars will make this work much better, but also indicates that we can help improve things now by changing our driving behavior.

    The article also explains how the highway patrol sometimes sends cars through traffic jams on the highway to break it up and re-channelize it.

    If the Waze app could give users a target speed based on traffic conditions, and enough app users tried to keep to that that target speed and maintain proper distance from cars in front of them, perhaps we could collectively improve traffic flow in our communities, even without autonomous cars.

19. Speeding alerts, 30.40 and 50 km/h above limit

    At the moment the speeding alert can be set to a maximum of 20km over the limit but I also need other thresholds, 30.40 and 50km/h. In some countries, exceeding the speed limit by 50km/h leads to the suspension of the driving license.

    I do not like that my speed is being tracked. For what purpose? To tell if the traffic is moving or not?
