Instant directions
An option to just go for the first results on search without any confirmation. As instantaneous as its machinely possible.
I just love the experience of telling "ok google, take me to XYZ place" and get directoins within 3 seconds. This is what it should feel like driving in 2017.

Nicki Minaj voice on waze
Just as you have Jennifer Hudson voice you should have Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Billie Eilish, post malone, just a few I think that I wouldn't mind riding to and some diffrent vehicles also a minimized popup screen like Google would be great as well it's just a few things would make me totally leave Google plus a direction to where the arrived destination is it just leaves you in the middle of the street to look for which side the property is on.

The pervious version was better as it automatically started the drive with a count down. Now I have to confirm the route every time I start
Also one cannot easily schedule the drive for later as before. Now one has to go through some planning workflow. The planned drives does not include the planning of ferries schedules.

When @Home location, app assumes on drive not road and can choose left or right direction
Currently frequently when I select my destination when on my drive Waze will think I am on the road outside and send me in a massive loop that adds 6 minutes ot the journey.
When my journey may be left or right out of the drive depending on the traffic it then courses an unnecessary bias in the results.
IF I look at the route options I then will select the route that has been "discounted" to see if it was assuming the right turn that is not needed and therefore would be quicker.

Setting the car’s direction when starting the app and navigation is a known matter which will be addressed in the future.
There are many complexities in location tracking which cause this issue and hold us from providing a solution.
It’s currently on the back burner, but definitely a part of the backlog. -

135 votesGreat news! You’re able to choose Марічка (including street names) or Дмитро voices for voice directions. What’s more, you can record your own voice via the Voice recorder functionality – can be accessed in Settings – Voice&Sound – Waze voice – Voice recorder.

Count TURNS, not distance to the next turn
when people give directions to each other, naturally they will say 'on the 2nd turn, take a right turn'.
We are better at counting turns, than meters or miles...
if Waze could do the same, instead of 'in 500m turn right', it would be great208 votes -
parking lot landmarks / traffic analysis
I would like to see certain landmarks not count as traffic analysis. If an area is marked as a restaurant, parking lot, gas station, etc.. the time a waze client spends there should NOT count against traffic analysis. Wazers can't be expecte to turn their nav system on and off just to order a burger, or fill up the tank. In reality, a nav system should be as "hands off" as possible for the daily commute. start waze when you get in the car.. go on your trip, pull over at the gas station and leave waze running. go through…

Waze often tells drivers to turn too far from the actual turn, possibly causing wrong way drivers
I have noticed that when approaching a turn, Waze often tells me to turn several hundred feet before a turn, without indicating that the turn is still several hundred feet away.
I believe that this may be contributing to wrong way crashes on highways. When approaching a highway entrance ramp that will be coming up on the left, many highway intersections will have the off ramp for the opposite direction first. App starts in dashboard menu
It would be useful if the app, once opened, went to a dashboard or menu which allows selection of one of many options. Currently it opens right to the map and suggests where I might be going based on previous habits. I would rather have that option available along with other options such as a general search, favorites, home, work, gas, etc. This could easily be done with 6 or so large icons to keep the screen clean. This would also avoid the need to multiple selection when going somewhere other than the defaul that's pops up on the screen.

Add option allowing your URs to be posted under your username (not anonymoulsy)
It has been said numerous time that due to private data protections, URs are always posted anonymously.
However, many editors use the UR system as a mean to "take notes" of problems during a trip, and then will correct deal with those UR when on WME after the trip.
However, those URs are always marked as anonymous on WME and other editors often start to reply those UR not knowing that those were done by other fellow editors. This leads to a lost of time, since those UR should be considered as "already watched by another editor".

Keep waze on top
When making a phonecall via hands free, waze should stay on top. It's pointless showing the call app, because 1. My screen then locks, so I can't unlock without touching the phone. 2. I can't get directions while I am on the outgoing call...

Autovelox and Speed section control
I have two suggestion about it...
it would be so much greater if all the autovelox were reported every time also if we run under the limit, because if for any reason after the no ringtone pop up I go over I have no notification about the autovelox... it will be su much easier and safer if was introduced the possibility to enable an all time notificationfor the section control speed you must integrated a average speed in the section and improve the where the section start and finish

Mark on the map on the way, that there is change in speed limit (like start of the city etc.)
I certainly don't want to exceed speed limits. When there is a path to follow, it would be nice, if there is some mark on the map, that there will be change in speed limit. Or the line to follow could be with different colors. Now, when there is a change in speed limit, I always get it afterwards.

need to have other buttons added
Need a pause button. So if you do a side trip it isn't trying to get you back on the track every 15 seconds.
also would like a repeat last instruction button. Traveling down the road with radio on for 15 minutes. Then suddenly you hear the tail end of an instruction, but have no idea what the opening direction was.
in sum: 1 pause button and 1 repeat last instruction button.

Bring back events/sweets
I’ve been using waze from the start, creating roads etc but one thing I don’t see anymore since returning to waze is the sweet collection events. Always helped pass the time while driving about all day and getting a boost to your score. I liked unlocking milestones too and they need a refresh. Can this be done?

Plan a drive
I like the plan a drive option. I wish you could add more locations to a plan a drive. Basically make a full trip from start to finish and add all the location you want to stop at.

Flash écran pour les alertes et/ou les changements de directions.
Bonjour,
je n'utilise pas les alertes vocales parce que j'écoute souvent la radio et que celles-ci viennent couper le fils des discutions.
Par contre je passe parfois à coté d'alerte parce que mon oeil n'a pas capté qu'il y avait un danger devant ou un changement d'itinéraire par rapport à d'habitude.
je propose une option qui consisterait a faire une flash rapide avec l'écran (par le flash de l’appareil photo ... il est derrière l'écran ...) pour avertir de ces alertes ou des changements de directions.8 votes
