1. Feedback on poor service

   App takes really long time to search for address's compare to other services like google maps.

   During a recent Natural disaster my local city faced, We got spam blocked from marking all the pot holes and hazards that were created and other road issues. Honestly it capped at 6-8 reports. We had 100's.
   
   Additionally all the alerts made disappeared after 2 days even though they were all still present and users in the area kept say they were still their.

   Furthermore the red light camera notification keeps turning my music off, and there's no options to change how that works from what I can see.

2. short description for all alerts will be easy to undertand the problem in ahead

   It's very common in Argentina to see multiple alerts at the same location. We tend to have these kinds of issues, and Waze clearly always shows you the most important one, ignoring the other warnings. It would be great if the other alerts had a brief description, no more than two or three words, so you could know in advance what kind of problem there is, especially when it doesn't show the corresponding alert because another, higher-priority alert is active. I've driven over 70,000 km in a year, and you can't imagine how many times I could have avoided traffic jams longer than 2 km if Waze provided a brief description.

   When there's a camera and a stopped vehicle, only the stopped vehicle icon appears, and the radar alert takes precedence. But it would be helpful to know which lane is being blocked by the stopped vehicle or its size; it's not the same as having a car versus a heavy truck.

   Today I was driving on the highway, and in my country lately it's common to find unannounced roadworks since they're only done at night and for a couple of hours. You find yourself with a blocked lane right next to a speed camera. Waze shows a blocked lane icon, but you can't tell if it's the left lane, the right lane, or if both lanes are blocked, because there's no description. You don't realize it until you're right in the middle of the problem.

3. Bus lanes - when you are allowed to use them - or is there any bus lane watch out for

   I would love to see bus lanes in Waze. I live in London, driving 50 or so miles a day and I think it would help to get from A to B faster.

   In London majority of bus lanes are restricted for certain times.
   for example 07 am to 10 am and any other times anyone can use it. Or different times, the point is that they are not always restricted.

   The way I see it, a small icon on the screen that resembles to something like a bus lane when the bus lane where you are is blue when you may use it, and red when you may not it.

   Can be more advanced, a countdown of meters/yards/feet until it ends.
   Even a timer if let say within 2 minutes the restriction you drive along one,if the restriction is in place then it counts down in red until such time the restriction has finished. However if you drive along and restriction coming up, the same thing happens.

   Also it can contain information about bus lane cameras. The possibilities are endless really.

   As for the data, such as where are the bus lane what are the restrictions, what times etc.

   For London I can collect this information within 6 months if its not readily available.

   Great news! Taxi/Motorcycle/Public transportation (Bus lane) mode is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

4. Speed alerts ,audio speed changes,school zones

     I use Waze to help give me audio alert when I go over the speed limit. Only thing is that it only alerts you one time and if you go over the speed limit again it will not alert you. I would find it very beneficial but it alerts you every time you go over the speed limit.
      I would also would like to have school zones added and alerted. And possibly have speed limit decrease to 20 mph when school zones are active with audio alerts.
    I live in a very small town and is known to have speed traps. We have at least 7 speed cameras and several speed changes. That go from 55 to 35 to 25 in a short amount of distance apart. 
     An audio alert to hear the speed changes change while you are driving, I know for myself Will help tremendously and alerts to known speed traps towns.

5. Really great app! Thank you guys for doing such good job!

   But nevertheless there are some features that could be done better:
   1. App freezes sometimes after start then there is no connection with GSM network.
   2. Then there are numerous alerts on the same spot, only nearest is announced. E.g. among "police", "accident on the road" and "vehicle on the shoulder" happend in the same area, only "vehicle on the shoulder" will be announced, meanwhile "police" is more important, because it is also used for mobile radars. It would be great, if "police" alert had priority over others alerts.
   3. Mobile radars or LIDARs. Then I see one on the road I can only mark them as "police". Those radars should have proper alert sign and extended time before they disappear from the map, (if no one mark them as "still present" during the night).
   4. When I set destination and add midpoint, after loss of connection with GSM network only destination point is only reestablished. Once I didn't note that, and drove 30 km in wrong direction.
   5. Red light camera should be always announced, not only when you approach it with the speed above the limits.

   But nevertheless there are some features that could be done better:

   I would like you to implement the following suggestion. I'm contacting you from Spain.

   For those of us who have Android Auto in our cars, when we encounter a speed camera, Waze informs us via text on the vehicle's central display. If we're traveling at 80 km/h and have to look at the display for a second, the vehicle travels more than 20 meters. That distance is enough to cause an accident, which wouldn't happen if the warning were audible.
   Do you think this is reason enough to incorporate it into the app? I think you should consider it and add it. Many users of your app would be very grateful.

7. More engagement with existing markers

   The option to report a hidden car is sometimes not specific enough. Sometimes it is a mobile speed camera. Or it’s a phone / seatbelt detector. The road chat option is the closest option we have so far when used along with a police marker. Either that or add the ability for other drivers to give extra info when more information is figured out so if a passer-by notices the report bit it isn’t in-depth enough or is just a bit to far for it to look current. They can add to the marker giving a more in-depth description of where that police car is hidden or what cause the accident marked on the map.

8. Various suggestions taken from other systems

   Hello everyone,
   after a period where I have been a passenger of friends and colleagues ( due to surgery   ) I decided to write down what, in my opinion, can be insights to further improve this navigation system.

   As a first suggestion ( I copy the idea from AmiGo ) is to make the indication of the speed limit and current speed more intuitive and readable by using colors inside the speedometer. The idea of verbally indicating the speed of speed cameras can also be very helpful.

   The second point I would like to suggest ( this time the idea comes from Apple Map ) is to display traffic lights on the map and use their location to give more detailed voice directions.

   The latest idea ( I don't remember the name of the application ) is to use the phone's camera ( if the phone is properly positioned ) with the ADAS and TSR algorithm to automatically update the map likes speed limits, closed roads, etc. 
   To be honest, this last function was communicated but I never saw it in operation.

   Alerts are often very close to the item and less useful than they could be.

   I got a red light ticket and the alert for the red light camera only appeared as I went through the intersection.

   Obviously it's my responsibility to drive the car, but it would be helpful to get an alert about 15-20 seconds before I approach whatever the item is.

   For police or emergency vehicles it should be more like 1 minute.

   And finally - if we're under the speed limit - then just show the Alert.

   But if we're over the speed limit then show the Alert and play the sound, and if we don't slow down - play it again to get the driver's attention.

    Currently, alerts for speed cameras, police, and speed bumps are shown too close to the actual point. I would like to suggest that Waze allow users to configure the distance in advance for these alerts (for example: 500m, 1km, 2km).

    Benefits:

    More reaction time and safer speed adjustment.

    Prevents sudden braking right on top of the radar or obstacle.

    Improves user experience, especially on highways and fast roads.

    This customization would be very useful for drivers, particularly on long-distance routes.

12. Stop Alterts Reducing - option to turn off familiarity capping

    WAZE stores undeletable drive history to determine user's “usual routes”. This history can't be deleted by clearing the drive history in privacy settings. The history stops users receiving permanent ‘driving behaviour’ camera alerts on identified "usual routes" - regardless of user alert settings. WAZE even stops showing ‘driving behaviour’ cameras at all (such as phone and seatbelt cameras) on the map on usual routes, regardless of user alert settings. This is a major fail. Users will naturally forget about these cameras and be exposed to fines, all the while having no idea that WAZE has stopped alerting without warning. WAZE is exposing itself to claims by users who reasonably expect ‘driving behaviour’ (and all other selected alerts) at all times. An in-app option to turn off familiarity capping has to be added. WAZE - please just add it! Forcing familarity / alert capping on users of an "alterting" app is only doing WAZE brand damage, and leaving us wondering why WAZE is working against us.

13. Alerts based on Route

    Since Waze has the ability to track your trips I came up with this.

    Lets say you drive to work everyday. You know their are 5 Speed Cameras, 4 Construction Zones and 6 Potholes. Waze should automatically disable it's alerts if you are familiar with the Route.

    Lets say it disables it when Waze knows you have been on the same Route for at least a week.

    Now if for example later on in the future there is a new Construction, or SpeedCamera installed on the same route it alerts you since it's new.

    This would eliminate the need to be annoyed with the same alerts every day going to Work.

15. General map editing fixes

    When it comes to submitting a claim that part of the map is incorrect, the Waze contributor that contacts me speaks to me in a one-way conversation. I have no ability to text back, so he says that "no the map is fine" but he doesn't know that the recently there was construction and a new speed camera was installed. Unfortunately, I don't have the ability to message him back. It's like an email inbox where I can only receive but I cannot send. If I could send and I can attach images as proof that the map has changed, that would allow map updates to change a lot faster and he can actually see evidence instead of just rely off my word.

16. Bring back old style warning/notifications in the upper part of the display

    The latest update brought us a new style of warnings. In previous versions, the warnings were color coded (green = speed/redlight camera, blue = police, and so on) and were shown in the upper part of the map/display.

    With the latest update, the warnings were moved to the bottom of the screen and in some not so flashy colors, and they easily blend with the rest of the app layout, making it harder to visualize them when looking through the corner of your eye (as to not lose sight of the road ahead). I know there are audio warnings, but they are not always reliable depending on circunstances.

    Please bring back the old style warnings on top of the map and with the classic colors.

17. Either allow users to disable popup notifications, or reduce the amount of screen real-estate used to display it

    Popups for slow-downs in traffic, traffic cameras, etc may be useful, but why not condense the information into a smaller area which doesnt obstruct ones view of the route. Secondly, why do I need to see the same notification repeatedly when I've already acknowledged it for the first time?

20. Optional "no map" (trip computer) view when route is known

    8 out of 10 times I use Waze driving to and from work, a route I know very well so I don't need Waze to show me my position on the map.
    What I instead would like is a "trip computer" kind of interface, showing me things like my current speed, current speed limit (if known), maybe a color code for traffic ahead on route (green, yellow, red), ETA, current road name (nice to have, not need to have - I know where I am), live updates of incidents (needs to update themselves automatically), textual navigation instructions like "turn right in XX meters" (again optional as I know this route), and a few large buttons for Reporting, Alternative Route Now! (will open map view), Menu.
    Police traps and cameras should trigger a large popup window when approaching.
    Other optional items on the trip computer screen: GPS signal strength, GPS time, heading, avg speed, distance driven, distance to dest, etc.
    It would be cool if the colors of this screen (and even the fonts?) could be customized to match the car's dashboard lighting, or to work optimal for night use or to save battery usage (black background, green or red characters, dim light unless police/cam warning).
