prioritize search results in the direction of travel.
When traveling long road trips, it there some way to prioritize searches only in the direction of travel? In the current setup When looking for restaurants, or shopping, it never fails, Waze is constantly trying to send me backwards 5, 10 or 20 miles behind me to get to something, I would prefer to have it only look ahead, even if its 40 or 50 miles ahead of me along my travel route, and not have to turn around and go back 10 miles for a business. Arrows with the direction of the streets
It is imperative to have the direction of the streets, because if you don't have them there is always the doubt of which side the cars are coming from. Google Maps has it.

Better direction instructions - instead of current wayfinder segment work-aound
Wayfinder segments (‘street’ > ‘direction’) look like a pure workaround to me and for good reasons they are primarily used for ramps entering a freeway or at freeway intersections.
For intersections within a city or other non freeway roads outside of cities there is no satisfying solution as the street name often is NOT the best navigation instruction.
This is a critical issue in countries like Germany where “smaller” roads often are neither known by their numbers nor by their street names.
A “new” „wayfinder“ feature should not miss-use the semantics of the street name field.

Wrong direction
A mapping service is directing drivers the wrong way on a one way street (maybe waze). The location is in Vineyard Haven, Ma. The street is William between Church and Center. That section is one way heading north. Cars using a mapping service are being directed the wrong way on that one way street. Please see if you have a flaw in your dataset.

Direction Indicators for Speed Cameras
Add a small directional arrow or some kind of indicator next to each speed camera symbol on the map, indicating which direction that camera is monitoring. No indicator if the speed camera monitors both sides, which is rare but still exists.

Please put in place a repeat command/direction.
Directions/commands are sometimes hard to hear or missed. A repeat function is essential and absolutely necessary!

Most of us know anywhere from 10-90% of our route. It would be nice to be able to have a "start from this area" option.

Knowing the direction of the closure
Hi>
Why isn't the closure displayed in the app the same way it is on the Waze map editor?
We often encounter misleading reports where users believe the entire street is closed.
I believe it would be beneficial to add small arrows to the traffic closure, similar to those in the map editor, to indicate the direction of the closure.thanks!

Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.

Tell us which direction the traffic jam is in
Often when I’m driving, I get a notification. There’s a slow down or a traffic jam but it doesn’t tell me in which direction it’s going is it going east west north south maybe show arrows in the direction that there is a jam

Limit voice direction repeats
We need an option where we can limit the number of times the Voice directions tell us to "Keep right," etc. If you tell me the exit to take, I don't need you to tell me to "Now exit," and then "Keep the left." It becomes extremely annoying. If some people like it, that's fine, but we should have the option to limit.

rotate the map when stopped to know which direction to go
Rotate the map by rotating the phone. Currently there is only the option to rotate the vehicle indicator, it should have the option to rotate the map when pointing the phone in the direction you are going, so it would be easier to know which direction to go when you leave, as you only realize that you are going in the wrong direction after walking a few meters.

Voice commands for waze direction
Sometimes you have to change your route/direction in the middle of a trip. There's nowhere to pull over. Waze does not allow you to type on the provided keyboard while driving. Voice commands will be very safe and useful for all wake users that need to reroute while still getting accurate route to new destination.

Change Dangerous Direction Given by Waze
Near Brandon Florida a direction is given to take Dali Drive to reach Bloomingdale Avenue. If directions are followed and one is turning left, one is forced to cross 4 lanes with very poor visibility! If the app instead directed one to drive just 1 block further instead, the left turn can be made safely with the traffic signal.

Rotate vehicle direction of travel when plotting journey
Should be able to change direction of travel when plotting route. As a taxi driver I am often asked to quote a journey however waze assumes which way I am facing when plotting the route and this can sometimes add up to 2 miles to a journey. I would like to be able to press on the car icon and rotate it through 180 degrees to face the direction I want so it gives an accurate mileage figure

Setting the car’s direction when starting the app and navigation is a known matter which will be addressed in the future.
There are many complexities in location tracking which cause this issue and hold us from providing a solution.
It’s currently on the back burner, but definitely a part of the backlog. -
Street your on all the time plus direction
I wish they listed the street you are on even when you don’t add a destination address. Also I wish it showed direction all the time too. Vote yes!

Incorporate a simple view. With speed, distance to next turn and direction of next turn.
When driving at night, all I need to know is my speed, distance to the next turn and direction to turn.
(ETA would of course be nice to see with smaller text.)

An icon when an officer passes us going in our same direction we can let others know
Going in one direction and officer passes us, let other users know.
