Trucker Version
Develop a trucker setting, or perhaps an entirely separate 'Trucker Waze' app for those of us running larger vehicles. We need to know about low clearance overpasses/bridges, narrow lanes and one lane bridges, weight restrictions, etc. For example, I pull oversized trailers up and down the East Coast (USA). I am 14'6" high, and 10'6" wide. You could even buy Trucker Path and add all the Waze functionality...

Make current speed, speed limits and warnings the largest images on the CarPlay phone companion screen
Rather than next turns or route events shown on your phone screen when the maps are pushed to a CarPlay screen, can we have a large view of current speed, speed limits and upcoming road warnings instead (or as a third view option)?

Make business names/logos in ads larger.
Besides placing the product in an ad, also insert the company or logo AND.. make them large enough to be seen on a small screen.
I'd like to help the Waze developers/company prosper by advertisers knowing their ads are seen.
Being crowned for several years now I've seen many, many ads, but only a handful of times been able to answer the question: "Have you seen this product/company". And by "a handful" I mean five times or less. In seven years and hundreds of thousands of miles.4 votes -
turn by turn notification on in-car instrument cluster display
On my BMW 5 series (OS8.5) and CarPlay with iOS26, turn by turn notification/guidance that appears in instrument cluster is way too big, covering the route ahead which I need to drive. It is very difficult to see what is in front of me and in that case I need to look at the large display, which is not that safe especially when you need to turn. It would be much nicer to have this window moved underneath the car arrow instead of ETA window. ETA window in instrument cluster is not essential information and I could live without it,…

Show route turns on landscape and portrait mode
The upcoming turn-by-turn directions would populate in landscape mode not too long ago. Now, it only shows a zoomed out version of the map. Why would anyone not want directions like they do in portrait mode? This was an awful update which caused me to nearly have three accidents in my vehicle without CarPlay. I have had to resort to Apple Maps and google maps because Waze appears to care more about voices and cool features instead of functionality!

Add new "service" category: "Delivery apps"
Waze should add more specificity under its "delivery" category. Establishments that deliver—mostly establishments under "food and drink"—often either offer delivery through delivery apps or have in-house delivery. Editors should be able to add each of the delivery apps that an establishment uses (e.g. Postmates, Doordash, Caviar, Uber Eats, etc). This addition would be especially useful for editors in large cities, as the gig economy is in full swing.

Add an "not accurate button" on the map
I approached a large circle and Waze instructed me to make a left turn. That was not clear for that overly large circle and I went into the wrong area. Better to have said turn into the 4th opening. Also, while driving in another place, it told me to turn too quickly when another turn was shortly after. I think it would help if there was a "not accurate" button on the map that could easily be pressed so WAZE could investigate the route and correct it. Thanks for your help in finding directions because you certainly have made my…

Viewing Alternate Routes
Bring back the ability for users to view alternate routes on their phone. Right now I can only view alternate routes using my car display. Why? I often want to plan my route before getting in the car. Why are you forcing users to be in the vehicle to plan their route?

After the latest update on Android Auto I no longer have the option to report a vehicle stationary in the carriageway, only on the shoulder.
I contacted @waze on Twitter who asked me to report it here as it seems to be a bug.

multiple access points
Multiple access points:
Some destinations can be approached from multiple gates. The route and arrival time to those gates may differ significantly, however, the destination is the same.
Please add the possibility (for starters to work destination) to add multiple gates and navigate me to whatever gate would result in the fastest travel.Example: My office complex has large underground garage with 3 gates and I don't care which one will I use the enter. There are lots of one-ways and going from one gate to another can take 5-10 minutes by car.

Lowered Cars
The concept is a Low-Clearance Vehicle Mode that would:
• Detect and report hazards such as potholes, bumps, debris, and flooding in real time.
• Allow users to submit hazard reports as they encounter them, similar to Waze’s current system for reporting police, accidents, or traffic jams.
• Provide alternative routes to avoid potential damage to vehicles, especially on streets, bridges, or parking areas with low clearance.
• Integrate crowd-sourced data to keep the map continuously updated for low-clearance vehicle drivers. This feature could enhance Waze’s reputation as the most comprehensive navigation app while addressing a currently underserved market…

Allow for non numeric numbers in address for places.
Today twice I tried entering two business's that were not already on map. Because I was not allowed to use the "-" (dash symbal) to represent the suite number, technically the address was NOT completely correct. In a large complex that could be only way to find a business. You already allow numeric keypad to come up for inputting so why not allow the minus key to actively work as well. It also causes you to earn less points because it thinks you are inputting same address as entered by a previous user. I was inputting from my Android phone…

Suggestion on reporting police traps.
Many people incorrectly report police traps when on a major highway and there is a substantial divide between north and south lanes (woods or grass). An example is I am heading south and see a police vehicle hidden in the woods looking at northbound traffic. I have now way to select other side and hidden together. So people select hidden but it shows up to southbound traffic when in fact it should warn northbound traffic.
A few more choices/selections/modifiers in all categories would help pin dow types and location of issues.
I would love to be part of a Beta…3 votes -
Feature Request: Co-Drive Functionality
Every year, I go on vacation with my family and friends, and we always rely on the Waze app, which has been incredibly helpful for all of us.
I’d like to suggest a new feature that could enhance the experience for groups traveling in multiple cars: a Co-Drive functionality. The idea is to allow users who are part of the same travel group to see each other’s locations on the map during the trip. This would be especially useful if one vehicle makes an unplanned stop—at a gas station or store, for example—so the rest of the group can stay…

Add Support for Oval Country-Code Symbols in Visual Instructions
Description:
In many European and international transit corridors, road authorities frequently use the white oval country‑code symbol (e.g., A, D, CH, H, I, SLO, HR) on direction signs, gantries, and even road surface markings. These symbols are universally recognized by drivers and originate from the international vehicle registration codes defined in the Geneva Convention on Road Traffic (1949) and the Vienna Convention on Road Traffic (1968).Because these ovals appear prominently on real-world signage—especially in countries with heavy cross‑border traffic—they are an essential visual cue for navigation. However, in Waze they are currently difficult and cumbersome to reproduce in visual…

Forgetting one's phone.
Forgetting one's phone. Waze recognizes when one has reached the destination. It should then ping at intervals until either removed from the vehicle, or disabled, reminding Wazers to take it with them. Similarly, it could be set to ping in a geo fenced area to remind one not to leave without it.

Click on someone else's report, either side of road, and say if it's not there.

Abbility to report start & end of SPECS.
SPECS cameras operate as sets of two or more cameras installed along a fixed route that can be from 200 metres (660 feet) to 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) in length.[3] They work by using an automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) system to record a vehicle's front number plate at each fixed camera site. As the distance is known between these sites, the average speed can be calculated by dividing this by the time taken to travel between two points.[4] The cameras use infrared photography, allowing them to operate both day and night.

Track my car's vitals; build database for community benefits
This is a big idea, no small undertaking I know. I'd like to combine my GPS app with the functionality of an app like Gas Cubby, which tracks my MPG at every fill-up and alerts me when my car is due for maintenance.
Here's how I envision it:
-I tell Waze what car I drive: ex: 2003 Saturn Vue, 6 cyl, automatic
-Every time I stop to fill up, I tell Was
a) What my current odometer reads (waze should know how many miles I've driven in theory, but this is a checksum validation in case I forgot to open…4 votes -
Feature Suggestion: Truck & Travel Trailer Routing Mode
Hi Waze team! It would be incredibly helpful to add a dedicated routing option for trucks towing travel trailers. This feature could generate safe routes that account for:
- 🚫 Avoiding sharp or narrow right turns
- 🚧 Identifying height restrictions and bridge clearances
- 🛑 Bypassing roads with trailer or truck limitations
This would go a long way in improving safety and convenience for recreational drivers and towing vehicles. Thanks for considering!13 votes
