Audio only mode (with extra updates)
I use Waze audio only driving my motorcycle, using one bluetooth earbud. In some cases I think Waze has crashed/stopped if I don't hear anything anymore but mostly its just because I'm on a highway without the need to make any routing changes.
Would be ideal if you could choose 'audio only mode' and tell the system for example to say every 5 minutes 'stay on the ... for x more minutes. And maybe every 15 minutes tell the estimated arrival time. This way I know everything is still good.

Stopping the app. Is still difficult. It needs to be a big easy to see END ROUTE. To stop the app. And be able to enter something else

Map Screen Navigation/Zoom for non-touchscreen
So, some vehicle manufacturers use a touch screen, and others use rotary knobs or similar for screen navigation. Android Auto forced manufacturers to choose one or the other in the event that they have the capability of both.
The problem encountered on Waze is that for non-touch screen versions, there is a loss of major functionality. One of which is the ability to change the zoom level or move the focus on the map while moving. Traking travel
When phone connect to car , autostart Waze, saving address During travel record position on map, with speed. When stop car shut down save position and stop waze. Result : map of trip can be available, including road used and speed top and average. Trafic condition can be automatic for or wazers because all cars speed are record and compared with speed limit of roads (if under limit mean trafic, difference in percentage show the trafic density). Look to have one idea Vezma App. Make what I suggest but don't do all that Vaze offer.

When in an EV, also show the regular Gas stations category in the Search menu
I'm driving an EV, so Waze replaced the Gas stations category in the search menu with "EV charging" on Android Auto. However, many EV charging stations in my country are in the middle of nowhere, or at least don't have a place to grab a quick bite or refreshing drinks like the regular gas stations have. I tried using the "Food" and "Coffee" categories, but they just search for restaurants or coffee places and are not suitable for a quick stop along the way. Add a 2nd Work address
I have two (2) suggestions ......
1. add a 2nd work address. With so many Wazers working two jobs, being able to enter in a 2nd address makes commuting to one or the other or between the two, so much easier. No searching through "Favorites" to find the 2nd address and best route- Have the ability to confirm that it's the passenger wanting to add/alter a location, destination or search. In Chatham township stop directing cars to turn onto spring st from Lafayette Ave instead of staying on Lafayette until southern Blvd to make a right. You are directing too many cars onto quiet residential streets- please keep the traffic on the main roads in residential neighborhoods- the speed limit on the quiet streets is 25 vs 35 on southern blvd

Audio alerts for speed and red light cameras
My audio alerts for speed and red light cameras stopped working a few months ago. I'm running waze directly on my phone (Google pixel 7) with the latest version of Android OS and waze app installed. My settings for alerts are correct. I see the flashing camera on the map and text alert on the screen but audio alerts are not working. I live in NYC where cameras are on every other block. Constantly monitoring the phone screen for visual alerts while driving is annoying and dangerous. I see lots of similar posts with replies from waze that the issue…

Need to STOP these massive auto and truck pile ups. There must be a way to warn oncoming traffic of major trouble ahead.

Sure the first autos or trucks that cause the accident would not be effective but how about the many vehicles that are about to plow into them. 50 vehicles or more in these pileups is ridiculous with today's technology.

Resume drive notification
A toggle to send silent notification.
Resume drive notification option when waze was stopped without exiting navigation.This could be a nice option to me and for everyone that eccidentaly closes the app by clearing apps. And also when you are driving and waze is stopped by system.
For me the app closes automatically on my mate 20 Pro while I'm navigating with sound direction via headphones. And I am not even aware when it happens. With this option I would be able to change the notification sound for that and know waze has closed and resume with one click.

STOP F***ing starting a route ‘navigation’ EVERY TIME THE SCREE IS ACCIDENTALLY TOUCHED!!!!!
Driving and ACCIDENTALLY touching the screen while phone is laying on console, triggers an UNWANTED route navigation. REQUIRING you to take you eyes off the road to cancel!!!! Really P.O.ed

Would like to see better graphics on the road alert popups so easier to distinguish alert type if voice alerts are off.
Need different graphic for vehicle on side of road, construction, object on road, etc. If sound is off or not hears, the subtext (vehicle stopped on shoulder, vs construction, etc) are hard to read. Also, different graphics for visible vs hidden police alerts would be helpful.

Record and save a journey
Would it be possible to record and save a journey in favourites. I also find route planning limited to what Waze decides with no flexibility to add via points. Adding just one stop point is not enough for a long journey.

PLEASE add ability to mark lanes!
Please add ability to mark which lanes are affected by reports especially crashes, stopped vehicles, debris/hazards and closures! Being able to quickly and easily navigate away from a problem would be a HUGE benefit over all other navigation apps!😊

Put icon on Waze that will close the app
Please devise a simple way to close Waze when no longer needed (such as a special "button" or small icon). There are many times when I know my way for part of the route but cannot stop Waze from continuing to use up my IPhone battery.

2 ideas for routing
Have an option to base economic routes on the cars MPG. It would basically be googles econ route but made tailored to your MPG rather than on car average. Another thing would be to add traffic lights and stop signs to account for on the trip.

Ignore Traffic Option for Real Time Road Closures
For Real Time Road Closures, please add the option to "Ignore segment traffic". Currently if there is any traffic detected on a Closed segment, the Closure will be put into Suspend mode. This can be problematic since some Waze users choose to ignore a closure, because they can't "see" any backed up traffic due to the closure, and will cause the closure to be paused until enough traffic has been stopped behind the closure and the segment detects no more movement. Reduce the excessive frequency of too many warnings on the same stretch of road

I would kindly like to suggest an implementation of functions, regarding voice warnings, as they are truly TOO MANY and TOO FREQUENT on the same stretch of road! Very repetitive indeed, and so distracting!
