Consecutive alerts within a short distance
At the moment, the Waze app provides alerts (such as hazard reports or speed/red light camera) approximately 400-500m away from the location. After driving past the report or camera, Waze doesn't check if there are any further alerts in the next 400-500m and as such, drivers miss out on this information.
An example is at the first traffic light, there is a red light camera, however after turning, the next traffic light (assuming it is relatively close/within 500m) also has a red light camera. Drivers currently only receive one alert for the first red light camera but…

"alerts only" mode should include rerouting notifications
Currently, there are 3 sound modes, which is great. "On", "Off" and "Alerts Only". I use "On", when I've never been there before and "Alerts Only" during my daily commute. I love the Alerts Only mode for a daily commute. Problem is, sometimes Waze sees an issue ahead during my commute and only makes a screen notification. I'd really want to be alerted about that.
So I'd like "Alerts Only" to consider a rerouting notification as an alert and not 'normal' navigation instructions.

Alert ahead fones show dismissal option
When there is an alert of construction, accident, police warning or shows “[incident] ahead in nnn meters” and then you can only push “still there” or “do not exist”… but how one will know if this is ahead!?!? There is no option like “ask me later” or dismiss… it should not ask if this is there BEFORE I pass the incident!

tollbooth, speed limit and precise location.
Add tollbooth to settings under alerts and report to be able to toggle on/off.
Option to use speed limit feature without speedometer.
Location is not precise. When making a turn the location updates after making the whole turn instead of following precise location while turning like other apps. Also, many times the map will show you at another location and it would start jumping locations like crazy.
Please take this suggestions under consideration. Waze is already the drivers' preferred app, don't let us have to deal with things like this that just make our experience uncomfortable and many…

Adding roadworks and speed camera to the report list
My Waze maps in Melbourne Australia does not have the option to report roadworks or sneaky pop up speed cameras that sit on the side of the road 🫣 as it's not police it feels wrong to report it as police on the map 🤷

Movable speedometer
Hold your finger on the speed gauge to move the speed gauge to a suitable location on your screen.
This would be very useful especially on a tablet or phones with big screens.395 votesHey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

The vehicle speed set to 0 and map display jumps on GPS blinds spots
The Speed Problem:
I noticed that when the car enters a cave my speed per hour gets reset back to 0 and when I leave the cave it goes back.Plus - The Map Display Problem:
When I get inside the cave the map display feature of the car/arrow icon stops working:
(the car/arrow icon would stop moving and then jump back to the end of the cave when I leave).I believe that the map feature and speed is working by gps to locate the vehicle location and time to calculate the speed which makes the car km/h /…

Allow the "Stacking" of alerts on the display
As an example, you are driving along and an alert for the police ahead pops up. You continue on but before you reach the place where the police are supposed to be where you can confirm the presence or advise them not present another alert of some other kind pops up. Now you cannot comment on the first alert. The alerts should stack so the closest one is displayed at the top of the stack

CRUZ ALERT - Demand notice to restaurants, clubs and etc.
My name is Erasmo Cruz (erasmo321@hotmail.com) - Brazil
My idea is great.
You should create a service that alerts companies, bars, restaurants, clubs, live events based on WAZE.
Imagine every time the user puts the address of a restaurant, the restaurant is alerted. With this warning he could anticipate the demand, set up more tables, buy drinks and even reinforce his staff.
Imagine a ballad being able to know in advance that 300 people put their address and that they will arrive in 30 minutes.
Imagine the value of these alerts/service.
I ask you to…

A button for HOV or non-HOV
There should be a button to tell Waze whether the car is in the HOV lane. 1), it would help Waze better determine traffic speed since it wouldn't average Wazer's in the HOV lanes with the speeds of those driving slower. 2), the Map would/could show the average speed of HOV or non HOV speeds. A Wazer in the HOV lane could really impact the accurate speed average shown (and vice versa).

Louder speed limit exceeded sound for moborbike riders
I can't hear the "speed limit exceeded" sound at all on my motorbike, so it is essentially not something I can use.
It would be nice if that was louder for those who have selected they are on a motorbike, to match the volume of the voice (or else, an option to make it louder).

Change colour of car on “Vehicle on Shoulder” alert icon
When submitting a report and looking at the possible report types while driving. From the corner of one’s eye the “Vehicle on shoulder” alert icon and “Object” icons are very similar.
I suggest the colour of the vehicle in the “vehicle on shoulder” icon be changed to a different distinct colour that also accounts for colourblind people.
If the vehicle was blue or green for example it would be easier to quickly tell the icons apart. Otherwise I feel like I need to distract myself from driving to double check the description next to the icons before confirming the report.

Alert of traffic jam to avoid colision
Hello,
Trafic jam must be report as a danger. We need that the voice warn us to slow down before.
Right now the only way to avoid colision is to look at the screen of our phone to see if there a trafic jam. On highway it’s realy dangerous. Thanks

Traffic alerts
I think I will be a good idea for the app to have traffic alerts. Not just saying traffic reported ahead. Based on the speed limit the app to tell you to slow down because of traffic. It will be extremely useful on highways. For example, a kilometer ahead to display/announce such warning and recommendation to slow down. Therefore, drivers will not have to stop abruptly and accidents might be prevented.

More voice warning before freeway exits, regardless of speed
I noticed that the location of the voice instruction you hear before a freeway exit varies based on how fast you're going.
Around 100 km/h, you get the voice instruction 1.5 kilometres before your exit.
Around 80 km/h, you get the voice warning about 1 km before the exit.
Around 60 km/h, you get the warning just 300 metres before the exit. It's the last one that I think is a problem. Some drivers rely mostly on the voice instructions either because we don't have a phone stand or because of restrictive laws regarding phone use while driving. And if…

when wazers are regularly exceeding the speed limit on non-highways, waze should stop sending people on that route.
If Wazers are exceeding residential speed limits, it creates a hazard for everyone in that area. Waze should collect data about the amount of drivers who are exceeding speed limits and then restrict usage of those roads because it is a public safety issue.
Drivers may be going through areas where there are children, joggers, bicyclists, and others who are now at risk because people are exceeding the speed limit while looking down at their phones to get the next GPS instruction.
