Waze Rider - No option to split tolls?
Was doing a research project on Waze Rider. For starters see a few evident loopholes, which could use some improvements.
- Why are the Tolls not being divided between the Rider and the Driver?
- that leads to my other observation, in the NYC metro area crossing from NJ-NYC is predominantly via the downtown Holland and Midtown Lincoln tunnels and uptown GW bridge. Tolls for riders in a car are $16; this significantly drops if you have 3 or more passengers. Location based fare calculation would be more beneficial.2 votesThanks for your feedback. Type a name- find an address
When searching for information on our friends it is automatic to type their name into the search engine (whether searching for a number or facebook, etc.)
What if I had a friends address saved in its contact info and when wanting to go to their house- all I had to do was type my friends name into the navigate option (instead of the address) and it would bring up the address saved under that contact. It's instinctive and simple.
Obviously each person's waze would have to be personalized so that the addresses don't become public for all waze users.

I'll be removing my account and app with Waze due to the hand they play in the oppression of innocents in Palestinian territory. Spelling mistake in Gas Station Prices Update
Hello,
Waze must be written correctly so ...
I propose the following solution avoiding shells in all languages:
Replace in all languages "Updated 1 days ago" by "Updated yesterday" (1 days ago is not correct)
This correction has the advantage of being shorter in many languages ... such as French where "Mis à jour il y a 1 jours" would be replaced by "Mis à jour hier" ...
Leave all the others "updated 2 days ago" ... which are all correct ...
What's your opinion ?

Navigation PopUp
When navigation sends you on an alternate route than what you are expecting, give some kind of pop up that warns of significant traffic jam. I write this as I have been sitting in traffic for 90 minutes now. When I was navigating along it changed my route but I hadn't noticed it but if it showed me the traffic jam bar associated with the change and sounded a bell or something, I would have certainly taken the alternate route.

Don't show "Continue Straight" until shortly before it's needed
Showing a continue straight as next turn hundreds of km before it's reached is annoying. I'd like to know what my actual next turn is. While it can be useful in many situations it's not needed until shortly before you reach it.
I suggest only display in app when the first prompt for it is announced.
Example:
In the example, I'm already on I-95 N. I don't need to know that in 76 miles I need to continue on I-95 (it actually started displaying about 200 miles before)

I CANNOT RECOVERY MY ACCOUNT
I try to open my account in other device. Somehow, the device get stuck… when I went back to my original device, my account was locked. I try to get a code to unblock it, but no email get to my inbox… I tried several times with no success. Therefore, I try to open a new account with my previous email (gmail), the waze system did not allow me saying that the email is already used by another user….. what a loop..!!! I have seen several users with the issue…

user needs
It seems to me it would be useful (and a good use of Google's AI) to be able to state my "Need" to Waze and have it solve it for me. For example, I would love to be able to say:
1) Me: "Waze, I'm hungry":
2) Waze: "Of the 3 restaurants on your favorites list, I see the most convenient one is along your route in 6 miles, or, further along your route is Restaurant #2. Does one of those sound good ?This would be much more convenient than trying to yell at Siri to find the "Nearest…

Limiting typing while "driving" does more harm
Voice only while driving limitation is only making the driving much more distracting and dangerous in certain non-english areas such as Bulgaria for example. Where the voice commands are not working properly. I want for my passenger to be able to type in an address while I am driving, so I won't be distracted by battling with the voice commands and constantly checking what was actually found by them and if it's the correct place. Also why is that even when I pull over and completely stopped I still can't type in. My car is not moving... It's really a…

Waze on Volvo AAOS
I have a new 2025 Volvo XC60. I downloaded Waze from the Google Play store to the in-car system, logged on, and everything was fine. When I started the car the next day, it kept saying "could not connect" and told me to "refresh". After several attempts, I uninstalled the app, and then reinstalled it. Easy Address Saving to Favorites
I've been having a Lot of trouble saving addresses to my favorites. In fact I'm unable to save addresses at all now. I'm unsure if I have run out of space for adding addresses to my favorites, but in my line of work I travel All over the state of Illinois, and return to those locations commonly. I have over 300 locations that need saved, but am unable to anymore for over 3 years now.

Add 2 min per turn
When the software is calculating route times to determine fastest route, consider artificially adding 2 min per road change to prevent crazy use of on/off ramps or side streets which save only 30 sec of traffic. A road change doesn't actually take 2min, but it's a hassle and increases accident risk, so it should save at least that much to be worthwhile. It could be a "setting" to add 0,1,or 2 min per turn. Perhaps even 3 min per left and 1 min per right.

Show and announce destination upon auto-suggestion navigation start.
When starting navigation via auto-suggestion the driver in fact does not know where to until arrival :) which is sometimes fun, sometimes not. This is not related only to home/work , but also to calendar entries, when skipping one event for the next one calendar based destination takes me to the first place. I would rather be offered a bunch of 3 most probably destinations to choose from rather than stopping the naviagation just to know where to. The destination address shoud be clearly stated on the routes and routes detal views.

Add track information from Spotify or whatever music app you have running so you can see what is playing without having to switch apps.
Have a line on the map that tells you name of track playing on music app and maybe the artist

Add a simulation mode
Imagine you’re in a city or country that you don’t know and tomorrow it’s a monday, you have to be in a client’s office at 8AM. What time should I leave my hotel? I don’t know of monday morning I’ll find heavy traffic...
Maybe if waze had stored a traffic log (standards) from last week (for example), waze could give me (1 or 2 days in advance) a simulation of how long I’d take to head to my client’s office so I could get better prepared/planned.2 votes -
Improve Terrible Social Aspects of Waze
Your App and customer service are terrible. I cannot add friends, except for ONE person in my contacts. Why is Waze so terrible at this. I do not want to connect with Facebook so don't suggest it. My wife is on Waze and cannot add me. I cannot add her. This comes after she got a new phone. Waze support is also crap;(support@waze.com) replies saying that email is not monitored! What a joke of a company! I will be shocked if Waze takes action because they have demonstrated their indifference to their users.

There should be an option to apply the above choice across the whole route to the destination or state by state or highway by highway.
For hazards and police, the “Still there” and “ Not there” choice is available only for a short period of time. It’s only after passing the location that one knows whether it is still there or not.
Generally graphics are poor: the icons for road hazard, police, construction are not intuitive. The graphics of car icons…3 votes
