Avoid a specific road
I've seen a number of posts regarding this, and myself have wanted this on various occasions for a number of different reasons. The alternatives (avoid highway, avoid toll, avoid dirt) are useful in many cases, but there are also many cases where they simply don't serve the actual need.

vintage cars & no freeways routing option
i frequently drive my vintage car, it would be great if there were a "no freeways" option as its not really suited to those kinds of roads.
i still want to use waze, but spend a lot of time ignoring it or fiddling to get it to not take a freeway.2 votes -

Improve ways to report your own hazard in your vehicle
, slow moving vehicle option for yourself when you are having your own hazard. We had a problem on the New Jersey Turnpike where are trailer that our boat was sitting on was breaking so we had to drive 10 to 15 miles an hour to get safely to the next exit. I wanted to post slow moving vehicle as a hazard but there was no option. So I kept posting Hazard on the road vehicle on the road and then I typed in slow-moving vehicle. And I kept doing that every mile or so then Waze wanted to flag…

Top speed
Add a customizable user chosen top speed for calculating the optimal route.
It doesn't help me much if the routjng algorithm opts for freeways where I can go unlimited but drive a detour when I can't or don't want to drive these speeds1 vote -
Turn Signal about 200 feet sooner. 350 Feet Perfect!!
I was using Waze and I was having issues with the turn signal at 150 ft. I was missing turns. I drive for Uber. Please give me another 200 feet like google. 350 feet is perfect I'm not distracted by watching the Waze GPS.
At 350 feet I know it's time to slow down and put my blinker on. Now Waze gives the signal to turn at 150 feet I have to put my blinker on and turn immediately. I've missed a few turns. I feel it is unsafe when driving at Rush Hour or through crowded areas like Jersey…6 votes -

Tagging the lane of an accident
It would be nice for users to have the ability to tag what lane(s) an accident is in when they report an accident. Often users add this information in comments, but that takes time and becomes hazardous to look through as you're driving.

Make "Do not avoid Pay Roads" assume all Vignettes / Tolls paid
When driving through Europe, Waze avoids highways even when the option "avoid toll roads" is turned off (it should use toll roads). Each country has a different vignette. Travelling a 5h car ride from Crostia to Austria can take you through Slovenia or Hungary. To use highways you need to add the Vignette for Austria, Hungary, and Slovenia. That takes time and is confusing and inconvenient.
Solution: when "Avoid toll roads" is disabled, take any road a typical car would drive, including all vignettes you buy in that country. Assume the driver will buy them. Give infos about…

History
Allow users to enter historic data, so while driving by a landmark historic information or links to historic information could come up. There's an untapped gold mine of local information that could highlight an otherwise hum drum drive. Ex: On this site the KKK used to hold their local meetings, or the dirt road leading off to your left was the site of the original post road, or the run down buildings on the side of the road were once Stage Coach inns, circa 1865, etc.

Weather Icons instead of Hazard Icons on Map
Weather reports show up as Hazard icons. While it does say what the weather condition is below, it is not easy to read if you are driving in bad weather. It would be nice to see weather icons reported by other Waze users.

Less verbose mode (few short instructions)
I would like to have a "less verbose mode" where the voice navigation would just say a few short instructions, like "turn right" for example, without all the verbose stuff like street names; or "speed trap", without all the useless words around it.
The reason is that sometimes I like to listen to music, or audiobooks, or having a conversation while driving, and I find that Waze verbosity is very annoying.19 votesWe plan to work on th Brief instructions Option in the near future. select trailer or caravan
Driving through 6 different countries from Netherlands to Italy with my trailer. You sometimes forget what the legal speed limits are in each country. It would be great to be able to select a car-trailer combination. also because the travel time is very different if you compair this with a single car.

Please add the ability to search for closest poi to my current route.
If I am already driving using your app, I would like the ability to search for food, a bank, or a coffee shop not too far off my route. You guys already calculate the time off route but if you add my suggestion it would make your app that much better.

Max speed trip estimate
I drive an road e-bike, which has a max speed of 32kmh due to legal restrictions in Ontario. It would be great if we could specify a max vehicle speed and Waze could take that into account when estimating how long it will take to arrive at a destination.
